This actually makes a LOT of sense. You can see in his demeanor he likes the instant gratification and then he swiftly moves to the next thing. Same with gambling. You need the rush when you win and then you need more. That is his whole style of videos.

I really wish I could hear Matpat speak on this whole situation too because He also was involved in a few of Jimmy's big budget productions like the hide and seek tournament and a few others. But I also can understand why he wouldn't want to really discuss anything since he's retired from RUclips to work on his own projects and spend more time with his family. He also probably doesn't have much to say about Mr. Beast. Quite a few people collaborated with Mr. Beast because he was a big channel, seems like he's doing good stuff.
Just cuz people collab with someone doesn't mean they know the full extent of everything they've done. Sadly it's one of two factors: you're too excited for the experience or the money to do research, or information is hard to come by at that particular time.
I think there are some hints of his real perspective and less professional perspective as he was pretty critical of the types of videos Mr. Beast produced in a video about how RUclips has changed with Mr. Beast style videos

Honestly after the smear campaign trying to make Ro look like a whiny brat for the editing that hid her 3rd place win, I'm so happy she's the one bringing to tea WITH RECEIPTS. Honestly when I heard all about the "Rosanna Pansino vs. Mr. Beast" drama and heard people referring to her so negatively like she was a crybaby I was sus. Because yeah, people aren't always how they are behind the scenes on screen, but Ro struck me as just who you see on screen is who you get. It's not inflated, it's not a persona, Ro is just Ro. So I'm honestly glad she's the one doing the exposing with good information and that people are reaching out to her. I hope once all this is said and done, Ro's name is fully cleared that she's not who she was made out to be by correctly calling out gaslighting.

Actually calling out the guy for cheating by hiding in the ceiling would have added tension. Revising the winners is beyond dishonest especially since they made Logan, who didn’t even place, the winner. How many times is Logan going to win. That’s obviously fixed and not exciting at all.

Because giving $100,000 to a charity (SEE) that then uses that money to buy bandages to give to other charities (Mission Flight) is totally the same thing as directly paying for folks cataracts surgery. And I double checked Mission Flights channel and they removed the call out video because Mr Beast paid for the 62 surgeries that clinic did the weekend the video went up. A video they had *NO CLUE* about: They agreed to SEE getting footage to use for promotional material. They DID NOT agree to be featured in a for profit video. And let’s be clear, the ONLY reason they got any money at all (despite sending “sign to verify the receipt got it” mail to the Mr Beast Office) is because Real Civil Engineer (a gaming RUclipsr) shared Mission Flight orginal video- over a year after the fact. So he’s now a charity has confirmed 62/1,000 he claimed to have paid for. But what about all the other charities featured in his video? Mission Flight is being far too kind. From the description of the update video: “Upon inquiring with SEE as to why our clinic was in MrBeast’s video, SEE told us they considered the small amount of supplies they passed along to us as equivalent to “paying” for the surgeries that we performed in Mexico that weekend. SEE International gave MrBeast footage from our clinic without our consent and reported our surgeries to MrBeast as being their own and part of the 1,000 surgeries that MrBeast paid for.”
I didn't watch the building wells in Africa video because I didn't like the perception he was creating with a previous video involving Africa. He made a video about giving shoes to impoverished South African students which was very good. The students were of course coming from poor communities so that was a great initiative. I did not, however, like the way the video made it seem like a large majority if not all South African students are poor and can't afford basic needs. Being a South African myself, it felt like he was trying to make it seem like South African students walk without shoes. Now I'm not saying there aren't students who struggle that much (I mean, all countries do really) but the video somewhat exaggerated the issue. it was a bit off-putting.
It’s crazy to me that if ro never caught a glimpse into jimmys real self during the hide & seek game, that she may have never felt the need to dig deeper. No amount of trees planted by MrBeast can compensate for the amount of pollution cryptos create. Cryptos are bad for the environment, bad for people (promotes gambling behavior, commonly used to pay for illegal stuff) and have no real use. Rosanna, you're an awesome human being.

you know his survived 7 days in a cave that video is filmed in the Waitomo cave located in New Zealand. he claims its dangerous and he almost died multiple times when the cave is actually quite safe, and the group of staff that stick with you the whole time to prevent danger from happening. also besides this he was only in New Zealand for 7 days, and was spotted at a local supermarket on his last day of being there on his way to the Waitomo caves... no idea if the timeline is right as I only got this information from the news sources.

Meh, only at a certain level, for both. Severe alcoholics generally end up preferring drinking alone because they know they're going to be too wasted to interact, maybe throw up, and pass out. I was also something you could probably best deacribe as a dealer in a casino of sorts for around 6 years. Most of the chronic gamblers preferred to come alone, and they'd even say things like, "If I come in later with some people, please dont say I was already here earlier too." One time I saw a guy come in with his son who had been there alone earlier, and when I said I didn't expect to see him again today, it caused a whole thing because he'd told his son he hadn't been in a month and could do it casually now. I was scolded by management and told to never refer to the last time they were there when they're accompanied, that half of these people have family issues due to their addiction.

At first I thought the point about his gambling was silly, but when you mentioned that his videos are targeted to children, it clicked. I'm a middle school teacher and we are having serious problems at our school with students "gambling"-- money, belongings, everything. They do it nonstop and it has caused so many issues at school. It is harmful!

Things that are "family friendly" on tv or in movies generally are given an G or a PG rating, i.e. everyone might enjoy them, but they don't contain anything you couldn't show to your five year old. The problem with the Mr. Beast persona is that although he makes content theoretically enjoyable by all audiences, he's well known to command a mainly young audience because of his style of posts. Doesn't mean he only reaches children, but he's famously known to reach many more children than many channels. Because there is very little regulation for online content, nobody is stopping him from interspersing videos that clearly children will love with videos showing just how much fun gambling can be. They don't have to be on a different channel, at a different time, or behind a wall. They don't have to even say, "this content is for people over 18". He can just... post it. That's the problem.

Because he has over 300 million subs on his main channel alone, not even to speak of his other channels, which are dubbed in different languages. Most of his viewers don't even know about all of this and wouldn't even care if they knew. The views this controversy generates all across youtube, are insignificant compared to the views Donaldson generates in a month on his channels. The worst thing he can do, is to publicly respond to it. It would just draw attention and he won't do it. All of this had as of yet no real consequences on his channel, and in a few months this will all blow over unless he is exposed in a lawsuit and RUclips for some reason forced to take his videos down, which they will not do. He is just to valuable to them.

tbh i used to watch him when he used to insult kid's youtube intros and i found it funny cause i was an edgy prick then lol. But when he started to switch to all that money shit I felt very weirded out by him so i unsubbed lol.

I worry a bit about you calling him a criminal in the title. Just for defamation reasons. Not saying he's a good dude or that what he's doing isn't illegal. Just that until there's a verdict set in stone for him and everything is done in court, you wouldn't want to give him any type of wiggle room to fire back at you in any way. Defamation, especially against a public figure, is _super_ hard to prove in court. He’d have to prove that she knowingly spread false information that resulted in his career being damaged. I don’t think he could even prove that the things they said about him are false since they are very well substantiated.
Why do people look up to other people? You can be inspired by their work, but why idolize them? I know lots of teens do it, it's understandable but let this be a lesson to you not to idolize others. I mean I'm a teen too and I was surrounded by teens so I get it. Still though, even if you look upto someone, make sure you don't let yourself get too affected, it gets dangerous when you cross the red line ❤

And I double checked Mission Flights channel and they removed the call out video because Mr Beast paid for the 62 surgeries that clinic did the weekend the video went up.
A video they had *NO CLUE* about: They agreed to SEE getting footage to use for promotional material. They DID NOT agree to be featured in a for profit video.
And let’s be clear, the ONLY reason they got any money at all (despite sending “sign to verify the receipt got it” mail to the Mr Beast Office) is because Real Civil Engineer (a gaming RUclipsr) shared Mission Flight orginal video- over a year after the fact.
So he’s now a charity has confirmed 62/1,000 he claimed to have paid for.
But what about all the other charities featured in his video?
Mission Flight is being far too kind.
From the description of the update video:
“Upon inquiring with SEE as to why our clinic was in MrBeast’s video, SEE told us they considered the small amount of supplies they passed along to us as equivalent to “paying” for the surgeries that we performed in Mexico that weekend. SEE International gave MrBeast footage from our clinic without our consent and reported our surgeries to MrBeast as being their own and part of the 1,000 surgeries that MrBeast paid for.”
I didn't watch the building wells in Africa video because I didn't like the perception he was creating with a previous video involving Africa. He made a video about giving shoes to impoverished South African students which was very good. The students were of course coming from poor communities so that was a great initiative. I did not, however, like the way the video made it seem like a large majority if not all South African students are poor and can't afford basic needs. Being a South African myself, it felt like he was trying to make it seem like South African students walk without shoes. Now I'm not saying there aren't students who struggle that much (I mean, all countries do really) but the video somewhat exaggerated the issue. it was a bit off-putting.
and the saddest part is that those scratch offs can be written off on his taxes.

I was also something you could probably best deacribe as a dealer in a casino of sorts for around 6 years. Most of the chronic gamblers preferred to come alone, and they'd even say things like, "If I come in later with some people, please dont say I was already here earlier too."
One time I saw a guy come in with his son who had been there alone earlier, and when I said I didn't expect to see him again today, it caused a whole thing because he'd told his son he hadn't been in a month and could do it casually now. I was scolded by management and told to never refer to the last time they were there when they're accompanied, that half of these people have family issues due to their addiction.

At first I thought the point about his gambling was silly, but when you mentioned that his videos are targeted to children, it clicked. I'm a middle school teacher and we are having serious problems at our school with students "gambling"-- money, belongings, everything. They do it nonstop and it has caused so many issues at school. It is harmful!

The problem with the Mr. Beast persona is that although he makes content theoretically enjoyable by all audiences, he's well known to command a mainly young audience because of his style of posts. Doesn't mean he only reaches children, but he's famously known to reach many more children than many channels. Because there is very little regulation for online content, nobody is stopping him from interspersing videos that clearly children will love with videos showing just how much fun gambling can be. They don't have to be on a different channel, at a different time, or behind a wall. They don't have to even say, "this content is for people over 18". He can just... post it.
That's the problem.

The worst thing he can do, is to publicly respond to it. It would just draw attention and he won't do it. All of this had as of yet no real consequences on his channel, and in a few months this will all blow over unless he is exposed in a lawsuit and RUclips for some reason forced to take his videos down, which they will not do. He is just to valuable to them.

I worry a bit about you calling him a criminal in the title. Just for defamation reasons. Not saying he's a good dude or that what he's doing isn't illegal. Defamation, especially against a public figure, is _super_ hard to prove in court. He’d have to prove that she knowingly spread false information that resulted in his career being damaged. I don’t think he could even prove that the things they said about him are false since they are very well substantiated.
