- I'm Every Day Doug and I play puzzle games every day!
Connections is an engaging word game from the New York Times. Presented with 16 words, you are challenged to find "connections" among four groups of four words each.
If you've read this far, perhaps I can press my luck and let you know about some of the other places you can find me!

I would award you three and a half points today, Doug--"ring's and "layers" are pretty close to synonymous.
You actually said "things with layers" but then switched to "rings" before you started thinking about whether cake would fit or not
You need to rewatch Shrek ny friend.
My brother and I watched Shark a few days ago! That ended up being what helped me to get this one lol
When have you seen a plywood tree????
Yellow cat should have been "tilting after a bad beat" 😁
That yellow one was strange. Almost like the creators couldn't figure out a word to use to describe it. I probably would have said something like "Feeling angry" or "Feeling mad"
"Feeling some type of way" is definitely not a sufficient description for the yellow. Doug gets more points on that one than the connections writers today!
i got the Blue Category first thanks to Shrek because Ogres are like Onions, they both have layers.
The first thing that came to mind when I saw "Onion" was "Things with Layers". Clearly I've had Shrek on the mind.
"Ogres are like onions! We both have layers!"
Anyone else see the words ONION and CAKE and immediately think of the movie Shrek like I did? Shrek says ogres are like onions because they have layers, and donkey says ogres could be like cake!
I have to rewatch Shrek. I totally missed that. 🧅
I didn't play yesterday but the potato one jumped out at me, as did the one with items that have layers. I usually don't get the hard categories that easy.
🟣🟡🟢🔵
I figured out the phrases related to potatoes first. I just learned that the word pepper is similar with spreading as a verb.
I also felt that the purple category was easier than the blue one today. I wonder what's keeping them from assigning a "fill-in-the-blank" category to anything other than purple?
Nice solve, btw. :)
I saw the potatoes straight away then managed a full house. I imagine everyone was shouting potato at you. Strange how something so obvious to one person can be completely missed by another ( it usually works the other way to be honest and its me thats stumped 😊)
I solved green, purple and yellow. Could not describe blue. It was a fair category....I just missed it.
Haha, we had the same first guess
Not knowing about SALTY meaning upset. I would have been fine otherwise in this game today. The slang meanings of words often hurt me in Connections.
Haha yeah, sometimes you just have to know what the cool kids are saying these days. 😂
@@archtansterpg4246 I feel like "doing away" with the cool kids! 😂
Or in days of long ago. 😊
Oh well.
I honestly don’t know how you don’t have 100k subs. Like there’s not many wordle players out there and we need more you and Whysuda are the only ones I’ve seen but you’ve got dedication! Let’s get him to 5k subs!
Another one I had to walk away from for a while. Finally, I got them with no mistakes.
amazing!
how did u take so much time on sweet, hot, baked and couch ,u really hate potatoes eh !
What kind of plywood do you have? All the plywood I have seen is formed by thin layers of wood and composite stuff. You did say layers. You could hold out for a half point. BTW if your plywood does have rings, that would be like knotholes. Don't buy it, or if you have it already, I'd say, replace it. 🫣
