@@geoffreyalder7275 Dear Geoffrey, I love that tune fr. way, way back that's why when I saw it here I uploaded it & now I play it everyday, love it. Thank you for the share, God bless you.
And then a year later in Dallas, we went over the top of the peak and started the long and ever faster downfall of the American Era in world history.. We got the best of it for sure and anyone who thinks it's "going to turn around" or "we'll be great again" is dreaming a sad dream. The same sad dream of the Greeks, Romans, British and others when they realized that it was all headed down. We worked for Pan Am and our passengers dressed and acted like they were going to church. Now we see flight attendants literally get their teeth knocked out and I just saw a picture of an AA stainless steel coffee pot with a huge dent in it where a FA had smash it over the head of an out of control passenger. I'm somewhat relieved that people our age have only got 10 or so years left, because I don't think I want to see the not so bright and shining future.
I was 12 years old when I first heard Telstar and knew then at that age that it was about a satellite. It was so sweet to be young in the early Sixties with songs like this to grace our lives. Just a masterpiece of music. In those days we had many songs that were called instrumentals as there was no vocalist, just music. Telstar, Apache, and Walk Don’t Run were the showcases of the genre called the instrumental.
Joe Meek! It wasn't just the guitars but one of the earliest synths played by Joe on that solo. He changed the sound of Brit pop at the beginning of the British invasion. Studio techniques first done by him. Gay when Britain did bad things.
Excellent from this friend of Buddy Holly's Crickets. Joe Meek said he met Buddy in March 1958 when Buddy and the Crickets were touring England. It is rumoured that he told Buddy that he would die on the date of February 3. I still wonder if this is true? Anyway, a great performance.

The backing track makes the song. Players often get disheartened when they don't sound like the recording. They fail to realize there are at least two other guitars and percussion making the song. Sounds good. I like your guitar collection.
