Overall a very solid Artifacts 101 course for each individual line. Just a couple of small things that may or may not matter: +DMG% vs [Element] and -DMG% vs [Element] cancels each other out additively. So if you have a +10% vs Water on the attacker and a -10% vs Water on the defender, it nullifies each other to a +/-0%. (Tested with Mo Long) However, this also becomes a bit interesting with units that have built in damage reduction effects like Helena, Shamann, Ermeda, Xing Zhe, etc: The values go completely whack; I'm still trying to figure out the actual math behind it, but the TLDR is that it -DMG% reduces more than it should and +DMG% increases less than it should. Dunno how they did the math but I'll just have to continue crunching. Quick example: Mo Long S3 into Helena with 43,729 HP -> 15,305 DMG (35% of MAX HP, which is correct since Helena reduces Water DMG by half). But when you give her a -20% vs Water artifact, Mo Long will deal 9,225 DMG, which is 21% of her MAX HP. But then when you give Mo Long a +10% vs Water dmg on top of that, he'll do 10,143 DMG. Yeah, I don't know. ____________________ The Buff effects (ATK/DEF/SPD Effect UP) for some reason rounds DOWN in their calculations. So if you have 15% ATK UP effect, (ATK BUFF 50% * 1.15 = 57.5%), it'll round down to 57% only; this also includes Miriam's passive effect. I don't know why they do it, but I guess that's how it's coded. (Tested with Coco S3, the only ATK scaling in the game that deals fixed damage). _____________________ CD when Less HP is also amazing for people trying to get high scores in Rift Beasts and Monster Subjugation Boss; In their Groggy/Knockdown state, they're considered to be at 0% or 1% HP, so CD when Less HP will have maximum effect (+DMG vs [Element] still trumps it of course). _____________________ Life Drain +% is multiplicative to all Life Drain/Vampire Effects, and the final Life Drain effect will not exceed 100% of the damage dealt. Example: Laika S1 (50% Life Drain) + Vampire Runes (35% Life Drain) will give S1 85% Life Drain. With a Life Drain +20% artifact, that means Laika will have (85% * 1.2 = 102%), but the game will cap it at 100%. However, Recovery +% stacks multiplicatively on top of Life Drain, AFTER Life Drain calculations, so if you have S1 +10% Recovery, Laika will heal 110% of the damage dealt by S1. (100% * 1.1 = 110%) ______________________ Lastly, iirc, Counterattack DMG+ also works with Jultan's Contaminated Blood for some reason. I guess it technically counts as a counter? ______________________ I'm sure there's others as I continue testing. Maybe I'll make a reddit post or a video or something. Ionno.
Can you please put together a spreadsheet with this info. This is incredibly useful especially for veteran players who are still confused on how things actually work XD. Awesome video, and notes!
It looks like the reduction adds with the passive to apply first (70% reduced damage) 9225 is about 30% of the 30,610 he should be doing. The 10% additional is applied afterwards, bringing it up to 10,143.
@@HolySpicoliI thought about it like that at first, but the only thing that got me thinking otherwise is that Fixed Damage in this game is absolute in their values. 9225 * 1.1 is 10,147, so while it's close enough, it's not definitive enough for me to say that is the answer. I did try this out with Xin Zhe (35% reduction), but the results also don't match. I'll just continue testing on other units and see if I can draw any other conclusion.
Hi! since you dwelled in to artis do you know if lines of s1crit+ and cd as enemy hp less stacks? i was watching a zigbear stream where he concluded the game only used the line that gave the most dmg in the current situation not all the lines combined, if you anything about this pls tell me :).
Speed proportionate to lost hp was strong because they’re built in nemesis runes. You could have a monster on basically 3 sets with it. Swift will and built in nem runes. Or triple nem and 40% speed proportionate to lost hp. Guaranteed cut in. All the artifacts just enhanced runes, and skills but it didn’t give you a whole other rune set.
Oh, thanks. I had the doubt about first hit crit, at first i only thought it worked in the first hit of the battle... And later i had the doubt if it was talking about multi hit.
Hey, cheers for this. I was a day 1 player who quit a long time ago and recently returned to the game. My runes on my best units are still somewhat competitive, but a guide for artifacts is exactly what I need. I was shocked when I heard Tian Lang became a damage dealer, and this is a big detailed explanation.
This is so helpful and the 1st attack crit dmg was such a curveball. The X Up Effect lines would've too if it weren't for the fact I have a Isabelle with 58% crit rate (because of free 33% from buff) and the rare Crit Rate Effect Up line and if that crit rate effect up worked like it reads she'd have 100% crit, but I was missing crits in guild wars and it was driving my crazy thinking it was bugged when it's just poor explanation.
i have a suiki runed full revenge with 35271 hp, 1943 attck, 1332 defense and on artifacts i have 5% additional damage of attack, 48% lifedrain, 3% revenge damage, 5% additional damage on wind, 0.3% additional damage of HP, skill 2 recovery + 8% and skill 1 recovery +6%. Its probably my best artifacts for a specific monster.
Great video and great explanation😊 But I need to say, that they removed the lines def / atk / spd to lost hp whas so stupid, this where great stats like you said for supports mainly on the left side artifacts. Nowadays your only viable option for supports on the left side is dmg taken from x (for unites that don’t need add dmg), befor you could go def and spd to lost hp, which had a great value. It’s so sad that they removed this, I wish we could make a vote that c2us bring them back. Lucky me that I still have some of this artifacts but I wish I could get more of them😢
For attacking together, having the twins for example. If only Shaina has that artifact. Will the damage be added when she gets a turn and pull Martina, or will de damage be added when Martina Pulls her on Martina’s turn? And will the damage be added to Martina at all?
Just did some testing, but it seems to do extra dmg every time a team-up happens. so both when its her turn as when she is dealing dmg on someone else's turn.
i think alot about how CD + less HP enemy work. Cuz if the max number CD bonus reach at 0% hp condition. That really stupid cuz we never make use of that MAX bonus numer, it could make sense more if they make the most aditional CD at 35% hp condition
Does own turn 1 target CD work on aoe attacks when only one unit is still alive? More importantly, does it work with bale when facing one target (ie. lab mini bosses or r5)?
The worst of the worst is that if you have +10% damage on element and the enemy has -10% damage on your element, the result is that the enemy gets less damage instead of no change.
But this makes sense: For instance we take a unit that does 100dmg with skill x. 100*1,1=110 (+10%), then we take this 110 and multiply by 0,9 and we have only 99dmg. Same if it is calculated the other way around. 100*0.9=90 - 90*1.1=99
i'm not 100% sure anymore, but i think all units that are taking part in the team up. Aka The unit being teamed up with as well as the unit providing the team up.
I didnt understand the atk/def up effect. When you put the artifact on a monster, does it boost the effect it gives or does it boost the effect when you receive it? Like lets say i put the artifact on Konamiya. Konamiya then uses skill 2 to boost atk bar and also grant an atk buff. Does the artifact make it so that the atl buff Konamiya grants is stronger on the ally he buffed? Or is it that the artifact only buffs the unit with with the effect on them and it only works on the unit when it has an atk buff?
It kinda sucks that Atk/Def/Spd buff increase only works on the monster itself, and if you put it on a buffer they won’t suddenly give everyone a bigger buff. Though I guess that would make buffers a bit too strong.
hi would like to ask, for example Shanon has the artifact "ATK/DEF UP" effect when she uses her skill s3, will my other mob benefit from the "atk/def up %" ? thank you
thx for this awesome video ! but now I know big crit dps dealer don't get a lot dps bonus from s1 s2 s3/4 crit DMG + x % and first crit DMG + x % soo to get more DPS on those big crit dps dealer its better to use CD + as more / less hp, max x % + DMG on elements and add DMG by x % of your att, spd,hp,def and for single target DMG dealer the Own turn 1 target cd + x% if I understand well >_

Nice video man.
What about the combination of First atk cd and Own turn 1 target cd? Do they stack on like a Perna?
yes they do, its shown at the end of the video.
Thankyou for this seii. I just out mine +hp +att or +def. Doenst care what the actual
Does own turn 1 target CD work on aoe attacks when only one unit is still alive? More importantly, does it work with bale when facing one target (ie. lab mini bosses or r5)?

What about Attack Bar? For Example Haegang passive skill pushes attack bar . Does Speed increasing effects work with that as well?
nope
Does co-op line increase damage of all allies atttacking together or only equipping one
i'm not 100% sure anymore, but i think all units that are taking part in the team up. Aka The unit being teamed up with as well as the unit providing the team up.

nope it's on the receiver if he has att increasing that it works. so on your lushen not on your kona
For boss like gb abyss etc, is it better cd dmg + more hp or less hp
Depends on your turn order. The first should have cd to more hp and the following units a combination or cd as less hp.
Muy bien explicado, muchas gracias.
It kinda sucks that Atk/Def/Spd buff increase only works on the monster itself, and if you put it on a buffer they won’t suddenly give everyone a bigger buff. Though I guess that would make buffers a bit too strong.
would be pretty OP for the buffers yea.
yea when it first came out i thought it was very specific arti for buffer, turns out not😅
Do the accuracy and CD lines work on passives? For example Teshar with S3 CD artifact or Loren with S3 accuracy?
yes
Is it possible to use the optimizer in steam?
What happens when the skill 3 is a passive like loren, then does the skill 3 accuracy still apply for passive?
yes acc s3 is for the passive (if the passive is in the 3rd slot)
hi would like to ask,
for example
Shanon has the artifact "ATK/DEF UP" effect when she uses her skill s3, will my other mob benefit from the "atk/def up %" ? thank you
nope, if your lushen gets attack buff. he needs ATK up to benefit extra attack from attackbuff
@@Seiishizo what you means is that lushen need to have the artifact "atk/def up" to get the benefit of shanon 3rd skill right? thank you
Speed + proportionate to lost hp% is really strong…. Idk why they removed it. But who has good % very lucky heh
Seiishizo great vid you must have software developer skill set the way you understand how the programming works.
i got a masters degree in software engineering haha
Does atk up effect and spd up effect work for fire monkey passif?
nope, it only works on spd/att buff
Does recovery only work on the target with the artifact on, or does it work for every target in your team
it works on the unit that provides the recovery towards all units that he or she recoveres.
@@Seiishizo thx m8
banger video
does ATK UP Effect also work for fight runes
nope, only when attackbuff
waiting tierlist separate for rta, guild content ,
it is, you can check a guide in xzandro's discord
life drain should amplify arnold's s3
I have been using life drain wrong. 😢😢😢
what the f does 3/4 crit dmg means ?
skill 3 and skill 4 CD that line works for both :)
Dont forget about crit buff line they remove it also i think it was good but not that great
oh yea true, i don't have a single one of those actually haha
Only useful on the self critrate buff monsters (Tanya, Isabelle, Trevor) so you can optimize with 1-5% less CritRate.
Comment
thx for this awesome video !
but now I know big crit dps dealer don't get a lot dps bonus from s1 s2 s3/4 crit DMG + x % and first crit DMG + x %
soo to get more DPS on those big crit dps dealer its better to use CD + as more / less hp, max x %
+ DMG on elements and add DMG by x % of your att, spd,hp,def and for single target DMG dealer the Own turn 1 target cd + x%
if I understand well >_
Does spd up effect apply for mons with speed leader skill?
nope only on speed buff
