This performance was really surprising when you consider how well Kobe played through the first 3 rounds of the playoffs. Maybe the eastern conference defenses were too physical for him because his game always dropped off during the Finals.
I’m a Sixers fan and as I remember it , this was the only game they looked beatable in their entire run that year. They won every other series with a sweep and I don’t think anything was close. The Sixers just had a different style that I don’t think they were quite ready for in game one but after game one they figured the Sixers out and became dominant. As far as Raja’s defense in this game you gotta remember Raja Bell is one of the best defenders the NBA’s ever seen and at this point he’s an unknown who’s only on the team because George Lynch got hurt in the last series and missed the rest of the playoffs so they signed him for a 10 day contract
@@LakersDynasty42 a recurring theme that led to five titles, no matter what way you look at the numbers it still translated to 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆😂🤣 with kobe being the main focal point once Shaq got traded. Stats don't tell the whole story 😂🤣
@@rafaelmeza725 Never said it stopped them from winning but to be honest most of those series the Lakers were in were cake walks. The real test was in the West.
Dont ever try to say the 76ers locked kobe up lol theres a difference from someone missing shots and being locked up especially when he went off the next game
thanks for this upload, Raja is top 5 Defender ever
No wonder Raja really wanted and waited for Kobe five years later (2006 Playoffs)
Bell had that nasty steal on Kobe at 1:22.

The East has always been the weaker conference after Jordan retired 🤣😂 kobe just had a bad game but you got to give credit to Raja bell.
@@rafaelmeza725 It’s wasn’t just this game. In 37 Finals games he only shot 41% so this was a recurring theme.

@@KentBlazemore Nice, Had Kobe played better they would've swept the playoffs.

He got locked up during that game
They had him in handcufs
