It's so sick having a good contractor for this type of thing. I'd try this and maybe figure out how to do 90% of the work, but perfecting those details such as the cable management, panel gaps and pre-painting hard to reach places is just next level

It's a thing, you don't hire these guys because they're good but because they're big trusted companies, but yeah on the usual this type of work isn't nearly as hard as you think especially the painting. Experience comes in handy in these situations, and usually big trusted companies have that over others. Sure, this is just some cutting of mdf, putting fabric around, putting some velcro on the walls, putting up some lights, applying a wallpaper, etc. but experience helps on things as little as putting fabric around some board.
