nikitaldy01 I'm not living in fear and I'm not damned. I am a Christian, probably with more pentecostal leanings than not, but I do not live in fear or damnation. I simply heeded God when He said, "This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob." --Deuteronomy 3:19-20. I accepted His gift of salvation and I do not live in fear or damnation. Before I was saved, yeah, I lived in fear of that because I pictured God as some big man up in the sky, ready to squash me under His thumb if I made a mistake, but that is simply not true. That is not who God is at all. Yes, hell exists. Yes, people who do not turn from their sins and who do not turn to Jesus Christ for salvation will go to hell when they die. But people send themselves to hell, not God. Because people are given the choice mentioned above and some people choose the way of death, thereby sending themselves to hell. But since I have accepted Jesus' saving work He did on the cross and received His salvation, I have learned that I need not live in fear or in damnation, for, as Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." And, as 1 Timothy 1:12b says, "I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day." In other words, once you have accepted His salvation and come to Him in faith, there is no force on this Earth that can tear you from His grasp. So, since I am safe in His grasp, I do not live in fear or damnation.
