Yet another video showing how international business takes place in the reptile world. There is so much speculation about how things work in this industry but by people that are far removed from it. We actually enjoy showing you how we get things done because this is the culmination of many years of hard work and based on real world experience. Thanks for watching.

Very Cool Dan ,,, Great Filming Apple ,,, Nice 2 know ,,, Thanks for sharing '
Great info, thanks for showing us the process!
I love your videos. Im tired of the cookie cutter snake bite egg cutting videos on RUclips. Keep doing your style videos they're awesome!
Excellent share, thank you so very much!
So glad to see ya'll back making video's!! You guys have been Sooo missed. Much love n Blessing's in new life journey.
We drop videos every Saturday @6am PST regardless where we are.
It’s so nice to have a great working relationship with your vet. Our reptile veternarian is wonderful. She’s done 3 surgeries on snakes for us and handles all their well visits too. Shipping is a source of anxiety for me! I hope everything g goes smoothly and they all arrive safely.
It went smooth like butter....everything arrived in good order and animals are adjusted already.
@@DMExotics Excellent!
Thank you for this video. No matter what I type in the search, I only get videos about shipping in the US.
There aren't many doing exports when compared to how many people taking small boxes to their local FedEx. When you then examine how many people are sharing information on this platform...I am sure we are likely the only one.
A bit to do before shipment but l am sure you have it all fined tuned now after many years of doing it. Enjoyed as always watching.
I was expecting way more paperwork than you showed! You make it look so easy. Great video as usual!
There is more paperwork but generally handled by the broker. I did my packing list and proforma, I/E permit on file as well as bond so no need to show that every time as it is something that remains in the system.
Awesome info on how to export Reptiles I kind of had a idea but you filled in all the stuff I didnt know much appreciated and excellent share
Very interesting dan would love to get into importing 👍
I bet the vet loves when you come in with so many unique animals! I know I would. Hope your shipment arrives safe and sound. Goodness knows, you have done everything possible to insure that it does!
It arrived a couple of hours before the video went live.....everything arrived in good order and everyone is happy :)
Your videos are my fav, always excited to watch :)
Very cool video, I love seeing the inside of the import/export process. You guys have the coolest life, much respect
It has been a crazy 10 weeks but starting to be able to only focus on heading back. Currently waiting on approval to enter Thailand through their new system so a little stressful.
Super cool and informative, definitely something different and nice to learn about
As always great content. Keep doing what you do, living like a boss while putting out great content on RUclips.
Any Americans, or at least any english as a native language speakers to hang out with in Thailand? I think I would get homesick with no Americans to talk to.
I have come to the conclusion that a large amount of expats living in Thailand are garbage. Rather than trying to sort through all the riff-raff I just avoid all of them. If I get homesick it is not because I miss hanging out with Americans....only family and a couple of close associates. I actually miss a handful of special people in Malaysia and Indonesia more than anything...waiting for borders to open :)
This is only the second channel I've really been able to watch that heavily features reptiles other than Snake Discovery lol. They're both so enjoyable, which says a lot considering I've always been terrified of snakes!
Hopefully this doesn’t sound arrogant but we are doing(and showing) so much more than anyone else on RUclips. Our international projects and videos from the field probably push a lot of hobbyists off our channel and onto the other hobby channels that they can better relate to.
2:45 😍 Beautiful!
Really fascinating subject. Thanks for sharing this.
Glad you made this video Dan it's something I have always wondered about !! :O) You are SO gentle when handling snakes and that truly speaks loud volumes about you as a reptile keeper and something I love to see others do because the way a person handles their snakes says so much about a person !!! I am a nervous wreck with snakes shipping to me or out to new homes worrying about how they are doing in transit :(
That was 161 animals that we shipped to Malaysia but all have arrived safe and sound. It was about 75% stock for the retail market there and the remainder were special animas for our facility. It is always stressful but you just have to rely on your packing skills and hope for the best.
@@DMExotics Absolutely agree but there is something wrong with anyone that isn't concerned about their snakes !! :)
hello sir great video
We're doing a move across country, so this video gives me a lot of great ideas as how to pack up my menagerie.
Very interesting. Never would have thought all that goes into shipping animals.
Good morning DMexious have a absolutely wonderful day good job have a super day have a great day have a nice day have a cool day have a awesome day you are worth it DMexious
And you, Vanessa Vieux, don't forget to have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day!
Great info!! Thank you so much for your sharing. Do you provide imports services for blue tongue skinks from Hong Kong?
No sorry….we only do commercial import/export. Maybe you can google search for a pet service.
can you talk more about the costs of exporting.
It is probably about $2k-ish for freight, veterinary inspection, boxes, heat/cold packs, cups/bags, USFWS, customs, broker, etc. CITES species will be more...
Great video
Fj cruiser for the win 🙌🏻
I decided to keep it after all so I rhino-lined the roof and hood. Will use it for the summer expo season.
@@DMExotics I have an 07 and I love it

Is this the vet you would use for normal/daily reptile vet needs? Or are they just the vet you use for export clearance?
The only time I use a vet is for a health certificate.
I’m not sure if it is just me or not, but, that vet looked a bit unsure or not too confident handling those snakes.
You have to remember that the reptiles that he is used to certifying for export are going to be bearded dragons, leopard geckos, ball pythons, etc. When we bring him our animals he is certainly seeing something new....much like when we do expos and hobbyists come by our table and have no idea what they are looking at either. The bottom line is that we got our paperwork and 200 animals landed on the other side of the planet and satisfied the clearing authorities(they landed and cleared a few hours ago).
You’d think they’d have to do more intricate analysis of the animals health, fecal assessment etc…
Wow, that would be a crazy ordeal doing 161 fecal samples. If the veterinarians did that for the shipments I import then I guess I wouldn't have to treat for parasites at all lol.
@@DMExotics very true, I know how anal the Aussie government is for Zoos etc exporting or importing, but Australia is a police state…
I didn't know you raised milk snakes
We don't although we did breed Hondurans 20+ years ago now.
Do you know where people get imported savanna monitors for example like how do they get it from them to the shop
Somebody imports them from the country of origin, then the importer sells to the shop.
@@DMExotics how does the shop ask someone
@@NathansWildLife I’m not sure what you are asking. How does the shop ask someone? Ask someone(who?)about what?
@@DMExotics like you know how shops get the imported animal how do they get it from the importer and how do they contact them
@@NathansWildLife So this is no different than any other aspect of running a business. The wholesale company usually puts out a weekly mailer via email, the shops sign up for this list and order accordingly. CalZoo, Strictly(Bushmaster probably looking for new customers after last week)....there are many.
Hey is it possible for you to ship to Jamaica?
Probably but my supplier’s won’t be interested since EU and USA customers are consuming most of their commercial volume.
@@DMExotics ok im from jamaica id love to get a bcc or bci boa
@@kaskalingram6120 For one, we don’t work with boas. We also do not do business in countries where boas come from. In addition, boas are CITES protected so for you to import one is likely not going to happen due to cost/red tape on your end and on the sellers side there is no money to be made.
Who will take care of all your animals when you are in Thailand?
We have employees in Malaysia that have already been managing our animals since last November.
