Legendary Tale of Lepen Moar, Pohnpei

Mr. Keropin David (chiefly title: Lepen Moar Kitti, b. 1943, 80 years old) narrates the legendary tale of Lepen Moar, Pohnpei. This narration was documented by NGO Pasifika Renaissance (Executive Director Takuya Nagaoka) on March 26, 2023.
The title, Lepen Moar, has been bestowed to the Sounkawad clan, who mainly inhabited in the interior regions (e.g., Nankawad, Salapwuk, Senipehn) in Pohnpei, and was the ruler of Senipehn in Madolenihmw. They were one of main feudal subordinates of the Saudeleur ruler. This story tells how this clan settled in Pohnpei and this title still holds special importance in Madolenihmw.
