There are some utterly amazing twiddly roads in the USA, as you have already found out, but it is such a vast country, getting to them is a trip in itself often I imagine? I do feel very lucky to have so many bike & YT friends nearby... I'd lost all my biker mates from back in the day due to them being infected by weddings and babies etc... nasty diseases them... was why I started the YT thing, so feel very blessed to have made some really good friends from it all now 🙂 It is a cracking road, very much looking forward to a spin on it in the dry on the XSR. Daffy is awesome, I really feel like I properly gel with it, is weird it is the bikes like the V-Strom and my old V7 that get under our skin rather than the exotica isn't it! 🙂
I've been following MrFish longer than I've known you mate! I think anyway, it's gotta be around 10 years. I first came across him from memory when he was at the California motovlogger meetup with one of my mates from Brisbane who also went over there for it. But for some reason I really haven't seen too many of his videos. Lack of time really I guess. I love that little back road winding its way past the cottages where you're talking about the Roman Villa. Awesome Strom road! Looks like it was a great day out mate!
Ahh cool, I remember him talking about going over there, said he had an awesome time. It was a lovely route, def gonna find it again once the weather improves. I do feel very lucky to have so many twisty roads so close by... I really should explore more of them 🙂
Hope the big toe heals quickly mate,although after losing my temper a few years back & booting my van,mine took forever! 🤬🤣👍 Great to see yous Southern lads out enjoying the wind therapy,while I'm sitting waiting on some "RED" weather warning to kick in! 🤪🤣✌️

Aye, we need more like it... is a shame the towns are all getting bigger, gradually swallowing them all up. Ahh that is a shame, not had it not get me to my destination, it does like to go the very long way to places though and often goes north when the destination is south etc 🙂 Hahaha... I'm glad it was dulled a bit by the beer, the next day was not fun, getting used to limping and if I support my big toe with the one next to it, it like a fleshy splint, it is just about strong enough to change up gears! 😀

Man I love those little villages, they are so cool. I often wonder if those roofs, with the moss and such growing on them, leak or if they are still sealed up somehow. I broke my big toe when I was in the army and never had it looked at and over 20 years later it still bothers me. It's not terrible but on occasion it lets me know that kicking a wall wasn't my brightest moment.

@@CodgerBiker ahh mate, hope you can get out soon! Haha... I've just been asked that on Instagram lol... V-Strom 800 is an amazing bike, I love mine. I also think that the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is pretty impressive too. As for better, it all really depends on what you want from it? My V-Strom 800 is the RE version, so better suited to road riding, where as my Tuareg is set up for dirt riding. If I could only have one of them and had to keep it stock, I'd have the Aprilia as it is better equipped and I love riding dirt, if I could only have one, but could modify it, I'd probably now get the Suzuki 800DE rather than 800RE as that can do the dirt stuff and would be better on tarmac over distance than the Aprilia. Thankfully I am not in that situation so can have both.

@@HippoDrones I split the end bone in half by stubbing my toe on the stairs. Absolute agony but fine after a couple of weeks.
