There are other alternatives, like the Novation Circuiy OG that is unfortunately discontinued. But yes the compacts are really great to play with, each with their strength and weakness. For the same money (I exclude the E-4 from the equation) you could also buy a Roland MC-101 though which i do also have. It is more powerfull than the 3 but I find it less fun imho.
Iv got the t8 got the j6 coming tomorrow just ordered it from Amazon...I'm hoping to use it with the circuit rhythm for boombap by sampling the chords but I do make EDM too
Great jam! I have a question: on J-6, can you set different durations to different steps? Like: step 1 has 4 beats, step 2 has 2 beats, step 3 has 8 beats, etc..?
Thank you. No unfortunately you can't. Please consider my first tutorial about the J-6 sequencer where I explain how to program it : ruclips.net/video/Q9D-5UCmHjA/видео.htmlsi=KA42HIeMDjQgcPwa In the example you gave (2, 4 and 8 beats per step), you can set the "beat" parameter to "1/2" and use the "hold" button where you need longer notes.
Great stuff 👍 when you switch between the sequences on the J6, I noticed that reverb effect cuts out abruptly, then starts afresh on the new sequence. Is that something you did intentionally, or a quirk of the machine
Hello and thank you. I use these cables : teenage.engineering/store/audio-cable-kit-150mm-x5/ They are a little bit short imho : 16 cm would be perfect. But all in all they do the job and still work after one year and a half of rough use !
Thank you. First the manuals ! Then the "Gearspace" forum dedicated thread on the Aira compacts. There is also a Facebook group (T-8, J-6 & E-4). For the T-8, the @ducktronic channel is gold because he shows how to recreate TB-303 famous patterns.
Okay I'm pretty impressed. This is a pretty banging performance with these two boxes. Well done 👍
Thank you!
The more i watch the Aira compacts at work the more i want them killer jam Subscribed

One of my fav places to jam. It is not like any other for me.
SO FRESH!!!!! It's like springtime in my ears...
This goes stupid hard. Nice work
Its all in the thumbs
Great jam as always!
Thank you !
is this a cover of Faithless' first mega hit in the 90's, ..i cant remember the name of the track, but it was awesome.
edit, Salva Mea !!
Hello, no it is not a cover, just coincidence. But you are right, the two melodies are close !
Great live set. Working it like a pro 😊
Thank you for your kind comment. I don't feel like a "pro" by the way :-)
@@bigkik takes time to build confidence, But you do have great skill for making music.

Thank you. Unfortunately that is a quirk of the machine... Since the settings are stored per pattern, it may be unavoidable though...
Great set. Out of interest what length of cables are you using? they look like the perfect size. I need to cable manage 😅

@@bigkik dead on, thanks man
You are welcome !
Did you adjust tempo to beat match average train speed?
🫠👍
Nope but that could be an interesting idea !
I love your train jams, I own these and trying to learn about them myself… any tips or places you went?

No synchro ? How did u match the tempo ???
You can sync the 2 units together simply with Midi
the grey and white cables on the far left are midi sync cables
