Hi There! I work for Doorbird Intercom, the largest reseller of Doorbird products in Australia. I would love to add a couple things for this video. Firstly, that model you have is not the D1101V. That is the D2101V. Which does NOT feature a 1080p camera, this model line has a 720p resolution camera. Secondly, with the motion alerts, the intercom is designed to alert you when someone is at your door, not walking past on the street. However the range of motion alerts can be adjusted so that you can be alerted earlier. Next, being on the same Wi-Fi as the Doorbird does make a significant difference! Since the device is an IP internet based device, being on the same LAN (local access network) will greatly improve the speeds. One last thing I should point out is that Doorbird no longer support the usage of 3rd party hardwired chimes. After some market research they found that having that plug there was not being used very often. However you may have an older model from when they were supported. I hope this helps, cheers from Australia!
Hey @ryleyphillips7056, im thinking of upgrading my old unit DoorBird D202 to the new one d1101uv. Is the upgrade worth it? My current one sounds quite muffled through the speaker and not very loud. Hoping the new one fixes these issues?
The hidden security screws aren't hidden, nor are the particularly secure? This matter if using for door access right? I mean - anyone can come along and unscrew it?
Hi, mi internet connection it's bad where i live and i couldn't watch the whole ivdeo, so i have to ask, does this doorbell works or can make ring your current/traditional ring?
Hello! I’m considering the keypad call box to control a vehicle gate and was curious if your experience so far. I’m most concerned with latency of notifications and video when someone is at the gate. Also, did install yourself or did you have it professionally installed? Thanks!
I live in Phoenix and I am going to buy this soon. What company or “Integration Specialist “ do you recommend? Can you be hired to do installations? Thank you.
@@123alex456moon thank you! I will buy it next month then. I’ve been holding off because I don’t have anyone to install it. Thank you. Thank you! I’ll reach out once it’s delivered.
They seem to know about the camera quality issues since they've upgraded the 720p camera on your unit with a 1080p Sony sensor and OSRAM LEDs for night vision, you will miss out on the RFID though if you go for a model with with those upgrades.
Doorbird needs to update their app. If your phone is on silent/vibrate, notifications will only vibrate once and won't make any audible sound as configured in the app. If you're like any sane person, your phone is likely always on silent/vibrate. This means it will be very easy for you to miss any buzzes, especially for a multi-tenant Doorbird setup where residents need to be buzzed for package delivery. Ring got around this in 2020, but Dooribrd is left in the dust. This makes this solution pretty much a non-starter regardless of build quality or flexibility.
You mention that you wanted to integrate this into your smart home. Have you managed to integrate this with Home Assistant or anything like that. I've got a Synology NAS, and record the footage from the DoorBird onto Surveillance Station, which is a nice touch, and saves money signing up to their subscription service.
@@Mark-is9dx no I haven’t bought one. I’ve decided I will get the new Aqara doorbell. I’m moving soon though so might as well just wait and buy it for the next house. For now I have an Aqara button and a camera on the windowsill looking out. It’s far from perfect, but it’s working for now. I went with Apple for my smart home so there aren’t many options without delving into Home Assistant etc which I’m hoping to avoid lol

Was getting tired or ring camera super excited about a door bird!
Yes, Doorbird is top tier!
You two lol
Hows the speaker quality on this one? I have an older version and when talking it kinda sounds muffled coming out the speaker and also not very loud!
Great video! Question, How do you configure the key fobs? Is there a step by step process through the app?

Great video
I appreciate you!

DoorBird looking primo - you shine her with the WD-40? 👍🏻
Haha you know it brotha 🤣
Can this be powered only over POE or do I need 220V?
Solid review, thank you
I'm also planning to install one (with a key pad)
btw, I think it's 180° diagonal FOV (horizontal it's probably 140 or 150...)

Great video review. The Doorbird video playback looks like low frame rate or is that just the conversion to RUclips?
It is always like that, even within the local network
will this product work within the apple homekit environment?

another banger🔥
I appreciate it! 🔥

wow the video quality is so bad for this price
Such a shame it’s so ugly! My grandparents built a house in the 80s which had a brand new fan dangled intercom. It looked like this.
