    Rolling Stock: EMD = MNCR F40PH-3C Locomotives #4908 and #4914 (ex-NJT F40PH-2CAT #4125), GP40FH-2 Locomotive #4903. Alstom = PL42AC Locomotives #4002, #4008, and #4015; ALP-45A Locomotive #4543, #4546, and #4548; MNCR and NJT Comet V Coaches and Cab Cars. Bombardier = ALP-45DP Locomotive #4529, ALP-45A Locomotive #4537, Multilevel Coaches and Cab Cars.
Since I had not been to Ridgewood in almost 3 1/2 years and did not receive much variety in equipment last time I was here, I decided to drop by and see all of the equipment that was in service throughout the remainder of the evening. Unfortunately, the train that I had arrived on, Train #1169, ended up running local between Secaucus Junction and Radburn-Fair Lawn due to Train #1271 being cancelled since there were no sets available to run. Consequently, I missed Train #59 bypassing Ridgewood, which had GP40FH-2 #4905 leading and as some of you guys know, it had a banger K5LA.
One of the downsides of filming this day was that it was a rather chilly evening, being 39F; however, it was definitely a great thing that Ridgewood's waiting areas were equipped with space heaters, which improved the experience.
Compared to previous instances when I have filmed on the Main Line/Bergen County Line stations, it seems that the PL42ACs are slightly more prevalent, as I caught 3 units leading outbound trains, as opposed to the single PL42AC I filmed throughout my time at Suffern. Furthermore, I also got a nice blend of ALP-45DPs and ALP-45As rather than too many units of each, if you catch my drift.
When it all comes down to it, if I was able to leave New York City earlier, I would have definitely arrived at Ridgewood at least by 5pm in order to capture the bulk of the Port Jervis express trains primarily because Ridgewood is a nice area which is perfect for high-speed westbound trains. Overall, I would recommend anyone to visit; however, do not expect horn action from all of the trains you see.
With that being said, I have said plenty, so I will leave it at that, especially since the video also conveys information that would be redundant if I was to do so a second time. If you guys enjoyed the video, feel free to like, comment, subscribe, share the video with everyone you know, and I will see you all on the next one! :D
