Yes. Please make more videos using, "Twilight of the Sun King." Your more recent, "quick strike" video was very entertaining and I'm looking for more. I have always had some interest in this period and your videos are making me think hard about adding this period to my gaming.
Thank you for your comment! I have planned out a few videos, but I want to have roughly the correct army compositions for them (as if anyone aside me would actually notice), so there's still some work to be done on the painting and basing of things. I hope you'll continue making more videos too!
I only own the second edition of BtLB, it has its upsides but I have to say that at the moment Twilight of the Sun King and Maurice are my two favourite systems for the period. I might make more videos on different rulesets for GNW later.
That was a narrative spin on the actual dice rolling. The Saxons consisted of two commands, and once Schulenburg's had broken the other half under Dünewald would break on a 1-4 on a d6. They rolled low, so narratively it made sense that the unengaged Saxon cavalry would be able to escape. Meanwhile the Russian infantry, still fully formed but surrounded, would likely have to lay down their arms.
Really liked the AAR. I especially like that you don't show the whole battle, but a consistent narrative with pictures and a well organized script. And as I also start the period with that battle it was extra helpful! Are you Swedish? I ask because you are able to spell the Swedish names ;)
Thank you! I'm not Swedish but Finnish, so I know enough of the language to pronounce them somewhat correctly. A very astute viewer might barely spot that the infantry flags are also all rather biased towards Finnish regiments.
Really enjoyed this video - gorgeous figures and terrain!!! Hope to see more battles in future. Very well done.
Excellent game, I would like to see you fight more battles, using Twilight of the Sun King rules. Dave Oman
Nice illustration of key moves and concise commentary
Thank you, glad you liked it!
What a fun scenario, well done!
Fantastic thank you
Very nice!

@Caladine Excellent. Bonus points (in my book) for any video in which the Poles win. 😁
Thank you for this, it is a great AAR and the game also looks good. I hope you will do more.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Your own videos on the system were the ones that encouraged me to get the rules.
Excellent AAR
Thanks! Do you prefer these rules before Beneath The Lily Banners?

Curious, how did you decide the Russians would surrender? Is that in the rules? Enjoyed your AAR!
