      He told you - the energy is in the dielectric as molecule dipoles or changes that align with the field during charging. Note that when he "grounded" everything, he only touched one part of the glass to their heads, and since charge can't flow in the glass insulator dielectric, most of it remained. If he had wiped the glass inside and outside with metal that was grounded, it would then be gone. If he replaced the glass with a different one never charged, nothing would be there to discharge.

      ​@@jonahansenthanks buddy, much appreciated, without your clear and simple explanation, I would have had to talk to some stupid AI to find out. And I ain't no prompt engineer, and the AI ain't much intelligent, so it would have taken me a looooooong time to understand.
