*Love the mellow openin music, and another banger thumbnail* 🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽 Love when companies listen and make adjustments! Pretty awesome to be able to do firmware updates for Hobbywing now! Love the minute's extra footage of carvin at the end 🤙🏽 Maaan beautiful weather you got there, tbh nice sunny day in London like that except it's like 0deg C 😂😭 My skate limit is nothin below 4 or 5deg C, hands and toes freeze at 3deg even with thick socks/gloves lol. (Think I'm gonna wear some white shoes the next dry day I go to work 😂 )
This video is what separates you from other reviewers. U break down stuff, show wats important give us loads of info, and u know what ur talking about but above all u dont just jump on a board, say “this is the greatest board ever and heres my discount code”. Well done scotty 👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
I bow to you , cars never stop to let me pass . LOL . That is one great looking board . Jumped on my old tynee Explorer for 10 minutes on Wednesday. Mate forgot just how much fun that board is .
Thanks for the tip! I just updated my Evo-1 Lite, looking forward to trying it out. I tested to see if the app offered my Hobbywing esc Tynee Explorer an update as well, but no dice.
@@scottdaviesyoutube Just got to try it after the update for the first time. Very happy - not an earth shattering difference, but definitely a bit more punch on a board that already felt punchy to me. And I could notice when I get off and back on the throttle at speed it feels smoother, which is my favorite part.
So I got my linpower mk 1 elite juat before xmas. I've riden it twice . Both times on tarmac and not in the wet. The grip tape has already peeled off!. Very disappointing. My acedeck board is 2 years old and the grip tape is still perfect. Linpower have said it's not under warranty and it's due to the environment ride it in which is crap. I'm pretty disappointed. Has anyone else had issues with their grip tape?
They have about the same power, Ownboard maybe has a little More off the line torque, The biggest difference is the deck, The Evo is flexy and feels like a snowboard The ownboard is a lot stiffer
Hey mate Very very different boards The Evo is like a snowboard so fun to carve and pump and amazing power (and still average weight The Horizon is a lot heavier but also more powerful and a lot more range But not as fun to carve
Yea I get that, The app is 100% only for firmware and does not require a log on or account All custom settings can be don’t through remote. App is only yo push update to remote or esc
@scottdaviesyoutube well that's a lot better, you can just do the update and then delete the app I guess. Still prefer no app at all, but then updates are less likely to happen. I guess there's a trade-off, and this is maybe the least invasive way to accomplish it. Cool
As usual, spilling the beans and sharing the info. Cheers mate. 🛹🦘

Happy new year Scott 🎉

Yea it’s only relevant for newer HW esc from a certain batch onwards
Hope you can feel the difference!
Let me know and report back on your thoughts !!

They really did a great job with that board 🔥🔥🔥
Cool ❤

That’s not good at all?
Mine still looks like new and I’ve not looked after it at all,
Beach sand water etc
I would like to see the Acedeck version first before i make my mind up ...🤔
Does ayone know how this beast compares to the ownboard prometheus? Feel? Length?
They have about the same power, Ownboard maybe has a little
More off the line torque,
The biggest difference is the deck,
The Evo is flexy and feels like a snowboard
The ownboard is a lot stiffer
@scottdaviesyoutube - Thanks a lot man! There's also the price. Much appreciated.
Yea price is a big factor
What's up friend. How do you like this compared to the Horizon and the pormithious? Yeah I can't spell. Lol 😂
Hey mate
Very very different boards
The Evo is like a snowboard so fun to carve and pump and amazing power (and still average weight
The Horizon is a lot heavier but also more powerful and a lot more range
But not as fun to carve
@scottdaviesyoutube cool, thank man. I haven't seen them in person yet. So you really can't understand the size on a video.
It's really a nice board, but I just don't like having to install an app for my board. Here's hoping Acedeck keeps their boards app-free.

Yea I agree with the app thing, I was happy it’s purely to push an update
