Wow a stunning voice, such clarity and impecable note transition, simply beautiful. Katie is a ballad singer and hopefully those with the subtly, range and power for her to be fully extended. I hope I will hear more of her.

It seems that nowadays singers seem to be competing with each other over who can sing the highest note. They should all take a page from Katie's book and learn how to do so without sounding shrill. Her voice is truly angelic.
While I don't care for the arraignment on this cover of such a classic song, her voice is absolutely amazing. I can easily imagine her singing jazz or blues to put all others to shame. :)
@intervocalic1 She was in Elixir and George. Amongst other things - and yes she is very very talented. PS She also recorded an album with her Mum who was an Opera singer supposedly but voices like that are rare. Extremely good - I always loved JBs version .
Now, I love the Jeff Buckley version, adore Leonard Cohen's own rendition, but Katie has the voice of an angel and her music connects us to something much bigger and broader than this mundane world.

Just listened to her version. Thought it was terrible in comparison. She has none of the technicality or finesse that you hear in this version. Also sounded plain, boring and without any passion. This is a true seasoned professional singing with everything she has. Alex Noonan would do well to take a leaf out of Katie's book.

She has a fantastic voice but the melody and timing are too mangled with all the flourishes and showing off.
