I was also a skeptic about supernatural healing. When my church and I went to on a mission trip to Mexico early one morning at service they asked who needed healing to stand. They prayed for me and I told God, If you want to you can heal me. I was determine not to pretend like I felt healed when I wasn't. But that day the lord healed me and I was a believer of supernatural healing from that day foward.

I fasted and prayed for years, and the Lord finally saved my husband. I fasted 3 days of every 7, and quoted the promises of God. Have faith. Be like the widow and the unjust judge. Keep knocking and taking Heaven by storm, and God will answer. Meanwhile, model Christian behavior and love to her. This is the best way to convert her.

This is my first time on this channel. I would like to ask the believers to pray for my family and I. We have been in a battle with our health. My son who is Autistic was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He kept getting sick and wound up with a bad gallbladder and had to have emergency surgery last December. He is just 16. My wife has been diagnosed with Lupus and Glaucoma. I went for a procedure (EGD) in December and have been sick with lung issues since. All this was just last year. I appreciate and covet your prayers. Thank you!

He seems real to me. I've heard him say a couple of things that I think were un-Biblical, but I've said plenty such things, too. That's just being human. But he's pretty much the only "big name" preacher I bother to listen to anymore. I occasionally check out some other preacher on RUclips, and I end up disappointed. But after listening to Chan numerous times over the last 2-3 years, I trust his genuineness.

Francis, the Spirit of God began working from the first words of this sermon. As you kept speaking, the Spirit was answering and doubling down on a prayer I had prayed earlier today. I see my wretched loss and failures. I feel unequal to anything to which He may call me. I feel the weight of my past sin very heavily. I also feel the conviction that God is preparing me for more. He has to pulverize me first, until I am a mere pile of dust. Then, He can spit on me, create the moisture to remold me into His better image. I have been in Christ for over 53 years. He is always growing me. I am a fairly recent widow. He is calling me to MORE, I know not what. I feel that same surge of the Spirit that is in you. Your sermons encourage me so much! This one really was for me today. I pray I can bear more fruit for Him. I am ready and willing to go wherever or stay, whatever. But first, I know He has ways to yet prepare me. God bless!

Wow, that's just what I needed to hear! While pastors and church goers are looking for what God can do for them . . . Francis is talking about a life that reminds us of what God through Jesus has already done. It's not about getting more stuff from God, but rather returning to Him the blessing of a life changed to build His kingdom. God has given me His salvation, His spirit and an assignment. It's time to get busy doing what He has called me to do, so that those who do not know Jesus will know Him and those who know Him will know Him better!

Yes. It's about getting close enough to Him, that His spirit will work THROUGH you, thus accomplishing things and bearing fruit; not taking our agenda and Christianizing it by saying, We're doing it for Jesus, and asking for gifts to use in our agenda. It's taken me over 50 years to really understand this, and why all this busyness and these programs we invent are dead works to Him. He is supposed to work through us, if we are attached to the vine. So the things we are doing for Him, are actually gifts He is giving to us, to share in His work and produce fruit. The things we do ourselves, outside of Him, just contribute to our pride and vanity, and make us feel confidence in what we've done for God.
I stopped asking for gifts when I realized this. I understand now, that the times God is really working through me, He grants me the gift I need at that time. Then He may withdraw it until the next time I need it. So I can't brag about gifts like other Christian s, ( I have the gift of prophecy. What do you have? Like they're swapping baseball cards). I'm ok just being a servant now, and asking Him to work through me. I'm old now, so I just pray like C.T. Studd, Lord, don't pass me by.

Just got back from Burma - Myanmar a few days ago with my pastor and a group of missionarys. The hunger of that nation for the good news and the fact that most of them have never heard the name of Jesus is described pretty accurately by Francis Chan. And what's even more moving is that like in one spirit we carried the exact same message he speaks of. Honored and humbled by the privilege of being part of what God is beginning to do in that country.

@@michaelkahn8903 I can hear the frustration in your comment. I'm sorry that you feel this way. But, maybe what I write here will help. The flood that you are speaking of was a consequence for the people of that time. They decided that they did not want to obey God. He had soooo much kindness and compassion for them, but there came a time when He couldn't relent His anger anymore. Genesis 5:11-12 says (about the people in that time) "Now the Earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the Earth was filled with violence. And God saw the Earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth." God's only choice was to flood the earth. The evil was consuming, absolutely destroying everything on earth because the people were so filled with darkness. I also see in your comment that you wrote that God sent a rainbow and that seemed like His gift. But, I want to kindly correct you in saying that the rainbow was a reminder of God's promise to never flood the earth again. But, I understand where your frustration is with the burnt sacrifice of the animals. But, that is what took place in the old testament. It was what God had intended. Something had to die for things to be made well. God's true gift was not the rainbow, but a few thousand years later, it was Jesus. His only Son. Jesus had to die in order for things to be made new. It's just like old leaves on a tree must die and pass away before new and beautiful ones can come. I hope this helps! Jesus really loves you and he really cares about you! God is wise and good even when it goes beyond our understanding.

Mankind is no different now according to god. In Romans 3 it describes how god feels about us.
Rom 3:10 as Scripture says, "Not one person has God's approval.
Rom 3:11 No one understands. No one searches for God.
Rom 3:12 Everyone has turned away. Together they have become rotten to the core. No one does anything good, not even one person.
Rom 3:13 Their throats are open graves. Their tongues practice deception. Their lips hide the venom of poisonous snakes.
Rom 3:14 Their mouths are full of curses and bitter resentment.
Rom 3:15 They run quickly to murder people.
Rom 3:16 There is ruin and suffering wherever they go.
Rom 3:17 They have not learned to live in peace.
Rom 3:18 They are not terrified of God."
He is correct about me not being terrified of god. and of having turned away, and not seeking him (anymore, I had) but I am no liar, i am no murderer, no rotteness in me, DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT? THAT IS HOW GOD, WHO SAYS HE LOVES YOU, IS WILLING TO PUT YOU IN HELL, SAYS ABOUT YOU AND ME- IF YOU BELIEVE THOSE WORDS, EITHER YOU ARE WICKED BEYOND BELIEF, OR ARE TOTALLY BRAINWASHED, OR ARE JUST PLAIN STUPID. Waited for it...waited for it... done! I didn’t hear anything Francis said to discount him as a man who is passionately in love with Jesus and speaks truth.
Please stop the criticism of brothers/sisters. It’s not edifying the body. Francis Chan is by far one of the boldness/most courageous men of God Ive ever seen/heard. I am grateful for the message God sends through him. I’m convicted, challenged, and encouraged every time I tune in to him.

We must seek unity, not division, as we are the body of Christ. Right now His body is broken. How He must mourn the way Christians attack one another and resort to name calling. I was responding above because we should be able to disagree without getting nasty, as brothers and sisters in Christ.
