I agree with you! Making a build realistic will make a build better and adds some character to the build... even if its a block game and kills physics lol.
I already knew all of these tips, but the way this video went was very inspiring, i might try my hand at buikding some cool things again, thank you for the inspiration
I'm new to your channel because i recently learning advance building and is casually looking for better tips for building, and here I am! I love your videos and well organized explanation. However I find it hard to build the right 'scale', sometimes i want my build to be Small but i always accidentally build it too big because I just couldn't start the foundation properly.
thank you!! i'm glad you're finding the videos helpful :) and yes, building at the right scale is definitely difficult! one thing that can really help with that is making a basic foundation in a test world (ideally in creative mode), and only building enough to get an idea of if the scale works or not. if it does, it's easy enough to write down the dimensions and rebuild in your main world. also, there's a very helpful Fabric mod called Litematica, which allows you to save builds as "schematics" and reload them in other worlds! it's insanely useful, and i use it all the time for my videos 8)
I would consider myself to be a pretty good builder in Minecraft and this video taught me something’s I’d never even thought of! That’s a sub from me! ❤️
Awesome video, but I have to add that clay is much finer than sand. Even though a lot of times we think about sand being fine, it's mostly just because it's very granular. But actually sand is much much coarser than most other soils, typically from most coarse to lease coarse you have sand, silt, clay. The reason a lot of riverbeds are kind of rocky or sandy is because the sand is More coarse and doesn't get washed away as quickly as finer materials do.
ah word, you are definitely right! i had forgotten about that when i was making this video, but yes, you definitely see those kinds of flat roofs in cities
for sure! i believe in this video i talk about building up a structure and then tearing down parts of it, which is essentially the same thing, but exploding it is definitely the quicker and more fun method :)
@@LeonSBU I 100% agree because it can look more natural. Then you could add more to the build like how you did at the bottom. It makes it seem like it was there in war. I also like to use different blocks to add depth. Like Cobblestone, Mossy Cobblestone, Stairs, Slabs, and any block and fits in. It also gives it more texture
might do a part 2 sometime in the future! it'll be tough to come up with 7 more good tips and examples tho. however i do wanna start making "7 more quick tips" videos for some of my older episodes so keep an eye out for those :))
unfortunately not yet! i'm definitely open to the idea of making some sort of supporter/patreon discord when my audience is a bit bigger, but for the time being i don't think it would be worth the cost of maintaining it, moderating it, etc.

ty! yeah it's one of the most important concepts for builds that feel like they have weight to them
you’re actually so underrated it’s insane
thank you :))
Your tipps really help with getting better in bulding
thank you!! that's rly great to hear :)
So underrated for all the effort!
Thanks!
I made an abandoned Volkswagen Van using your tips
Thanks alot!
nice!!
A lot of the rivers I've seen 'round here erode the ground and make lil cliffs.
that sounds dope! i should try designing something like that in my survival world sometime
great vid! you're right, gravity and direction of decay are very important
they indeed are super important to convey weight and age - which always are nice touches in builds! shows that you know what you're doing lol
This channel is criminally underrated 😭
thank you ☺️ we'll get there eventually!

i'm glad to hear :) good luck with your building projects!
Amazing effort
thank you :))

@@LeonSBU that's really helpful, thanks!
New sub! I’ve been binging your videos to research a castle I’m building. You have great instructional videos ✌🏾
thank you, and welcome! :)
glad to have discovered you
glad to have ya here
The penguins at 11:41 😂😂♥️🐧🐧
Where can i find that ruine build?
I would consider myself to be a pretty good builder in Minecraft and this video taught me something’s I’d never even thought of! That’s a sub from me! ❤️
super glad to hear that!! welcome (:
I guess the oldest blocks are coal blocks? Ancient debris? Whatever any of the ruins are made of
these are awesome, new sub:)
thx!! glad to have you here :)

ah whoops, thank you for the info! as you can see, i'm definitely not a geologist :) the clarification is very much appreciated
kinda like how you edit your videos
TY editing mad fun
fun fact: the flat roof actually is realistic
they genuinely make roofs like that
ah word, you are definitely right! i had forgotten about that when i was making this video, but yes, you definitely see those kinds of flat roofs in cities
❤❤I like it
thank you! :)
U’ve got an amazing voice bro
thank you 😄
If you want to make something ruined or some type of ruins. what you could do is just build the whole thing and then just explode parts of it...
for sure! i believe in this video i talk about building up a structure and then tearing down parts of it, which is essentially the same thing, but exploding it is definitely the quicker and more fun method :)

Do you have a discord?
unfortunately not yet! i'm definitely open to the idea of making some sort of supporter/patreon discord when my audience is a bit bigger, but for the time being i don't think it would be worth the cost of maintaining it, moderating it, etc.
hey, good news! discord server has been created :) discord.gg/3qmXBBQPH2
