- We transform our balcony from being empty, ugly and dirty into a cozy outdoor space. Some plants can handle the spring weather here in Sweden right now but later we will have more plants when the nights get a little warmer.
We really love our balcony which is like an extra room in the summer. Here, we eat breakfast on warm summer mornings and relax in the evenings.

What a beautiful balcony! As for the meal, we also love pickled herring here in Ukraine, but that's the first time I've seen herring ad potatoes made into a cake, how fun! We often make a meal out of the same ingredients: mashed potatoes with sour cream and butter mixed in, and sliced-up pickled herring with red onion on top. Fun how the northern folks all eat similar things, regardless of the country. We have a "Dressed herring" salad you would for sure like, you can look the recipe up online 😊
Yes, it is so interesting to see "food choices" in different countries and often you can spot a lot of similarities. Fun to hear that it is not only Sweden that eat pickled herring. We should look up the "dressed herring salad" recipe, thank you! 👨🍳🐟

It's very pretty, but for me it would be too sunny without any shade. And what do people do when it rains? Then everything gets wet and the clothes don't look as if they are rainproof.

Where we live, the sun is not that intense so usually it is ok sit here without any shade. However, we have brought up a parasol sometimes. When it rains, we do not use this area, we have others. The cushions we bring indoors, not that much of work.
