    The thing that surprises me the most is the fact that in the prehistory everything was inclined to be gigantic yet the biggest animal yet discovered lives in our time.

    • @Eye_Exist

      biggest animal discovered*. this applies both to living and extinct animals. majority of earth surface is covered by ocean where paleontologists or biologists haven't even visited.

    That’s really fun to watch, but I have to point out that both the listed sizes, and the visual models are almost all off, mostly by twice as big or more! Most of the models are just WAY bigger than both real life, and ur listed sizes, and also many of the listed sizes are off/way off, too.

    • @davehill5764
      @davehill5764 2 года назад +6

      Yes I was going to say that. The proportions are not quite perfect. I looked at all the 60ft animals a couple of times. They should be around 10 times longer than our 6ft diver, but I think they are closer to around 13 to 14 times longer than the diver although its impossible to say unless I print it out and cut out the diver and step and repeat the diver next to the animals.
      But I am impressed that he didn’t exaggerate megalodons size like a lot of Meg fans do on RUclips.
      They sometimes report the Meg as 60-75 feet which is unrealistic.

    3D animation is lovely but fact wise information here is tainted with too much biases. For example striped marlin is normally 2 meters; shown here as 6m, that's like 1 in 500,000+ possibility. You listed striped marlin the least possible for the biggest size observed or even just expected existing while did the sun fish at very common size though it can be more than twice of that.

  • @rl2388

    Aside from the very beautiful animation and work, I think the visual is slightly bigger than the real one. I watched too many ocean documentary and some of them are not that big, such as bottlenose dolphin, whale shark and orca.

      Actually for whale sharks we're use to seeing them be on the 20 to 30 ft bc of the aquariums and what they find in the wild, but there's been recordings of them reaching to 40 ft, they sadly don't get that big bc of they die by being prey,poaching or we just don't see them that much
