    The thing that surprises me the most is the fact that in the prehistory everything was inclined to be gigantic yet the biggest animal yet discovered lives in our time.

    That’s really fun to watch, but I have to point out that both the listed sizes, and the visual models are almost all off, mostly by twice as big or more! Most of the models are just WAY bigger than both real life, and ur listed sizes, and also many of the listed sizes are off/way off, too.

    • @davehill5764
      @davehill5764 Год назад +6

      Yes I was going to say that. The proportions are not quite perfect. I looked at all the 60ft animals a couple of times. They should be around 10 times longer than our 6ft diver, but I think they are closer to around 13 to 14 times longer than the diver although its impossible to say unless I print it out and cut out the diver and step and repeat the diver next to the animals.
      But I am impressed that he didn’t exaggerate megalodons size like a lot of Meg fans do on RUclips.
      They sometimes report the Meg as 60-75 feet which is unrealistic.

    3D animation is lovely but fact wise information here is tainted with too much biases. For example striped marlin is normally 2 meters; shown here as 6m, that's like 1 in 500,000+ possibility. You listed striped marlin the least possible for the biggest size observed or even just expected existing while did the sun fish at very common size though it can be more than twice of that.

    Leedsichthys was bigger. The actual estimation see it as a 30 m long fish, one of the biggest ever exist, even if it was still smaller than the blue whale

    As a diver i have to say that most lengths of animals alive today are really over the top here.... Divide it in half and its more close to reality. Having the human model moving its arms like its swimming also made me laugh quite a bit. Divers dont use their arms to move.
