I love Daenerys and Tyrion working together, my two favorite characters. I thought that was going to be the best part of the episode, but omg that ending!!! Fantastic!! Definitely the best episode of the season, not just for the ending, but as a whole it was really good. Glad Sansa finally knows the truth that her brothers aren't dead.

Jamie Mcgrath I think it is the best episode of all the season so far! And yep that part that longclaw just shattered the walker. I just lost it. The long wait is over... Jon really is Azor Ahai.
Jamie Mcgrath Didn't even catch that while I was watching. What if it just means Valyrian Steel along with Dragonglass can also kill the white walkers?
***** yes. she is a fraud that coincidentally killed the three kings with Edric's/Gendry's blood. She is a fraud that managed to find Gendry in the middle of the woods. The Battle of Hardhome was definitely the cherry on top of this season like my GAWD!!!! I fucking marked out when i saw the White Walkers swarm Hardhome. The Wildings, The Nights's Watch and that badass Giant banding together was a beauty to see. Jon Snow took out a White Walker LT like a boss :D. Then at the end i got chills (no pun intended) when The Night King rose every single corpse up. How dafuq do you kill something that can't be killed!!!! Omg this episode was definitely my favorite episode of Season 5 no doubt about that.
NOW THAT IS WHAT I AM FUCKING TALKING ABOUT. That is why I love me some Game of Thrones. There was not one moment that I did not enjoy in this episode...that is all.
Bumaye HGW watch on. It's important not to forget just WHAT is happening to Arya right now - she is learning to become faithful to The Many Faced God. Who are the Faceless Men? Assassins, essentially. With all that is going on right now, it's important to keep that tidbit in mind. We also know of two important characters that are headed to Braavos right now as well, one of whom is on the list / song of people she wants dead.
Giannis Thalassinos People should really learn to be patient these days - it's called a slow build. You take your time to get to know the characters and lay out the various plot threads, then when you have built it enough you drop the hammer big time, like in this episode, and everyone goes nuts! I never lost faith that this season would end up amazing.
Crichjo32 Oh don't get me wrong. I'm well aware the show was building up to something big. I wasn't impressed with the season because of some poor decisions they made. Namely how they killed Barristan (which didn't actually make sense) and how bad Obara Sand's character is.
William Braddell That's not what I meant. His death didn't make sense in that he shouldn't have been in that scenario. As in not having armour and randomly walking the streets of a city that is hiding a hostile force hell bent on killing Dany and all her followers. Him dying is perfectly fine so long as the execution of the scene makes sense.
This episode was so intense, I had to run out of my room, grab my cat, and hug him while repeatedly saying "Jon Snow won't die", "Jon Snow Survive" and ROW THAT FUCKING BOAT WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?
Elle D well, pretty sure they mostly hate George Martin. Why else would they ruin the plot points for his books so we have no reason to read them? Probably revenge for how long he's taking to write the damn things XD His long time fans have said "FUCK IT! We're just gonna go out and make sure no one ever buys his books by making sure everyone knows every important twist in it! Cause FUCK George Martin! He won't give me his new books, I'll take his sales away from him!" ASOIAF fans are vicious cunts lol, and GM's greatest enemy by far XD Right up there with the piraters.
***** jesus what the fuck is wrong with you? I know what happens to the characters because i have read the books, but i don't tell people because it makes it shit for them. god you are pathetic, what a sad little man, as Ser Cortnay pointed out
Dasaun McClinton Jons face right at the end was amazing, looked like he might have peed himself. If I were me being chased by a hoard of undead ice zombies I don't know if I would be to stunned to row a boat
*Heres my take on Episode 8:* * Tyrion becomes the hand of the dragon that grants mercy on the scaled bear * Sir Friendzone returns to the wrestling roster and asks details on his benefits package for a world title defence. *The great slayer gets asked the age old question '...about last night...' *Sansa realises she isn't the one-woman wolf-pack she thought she was *A girl takes shape of another girl to spread the gift of the many-faced god...oysters *The Maiden of the Seven becomes the embodiment of the GoT fanbase. ...Then my mind kinda broke in the last 20 minutes...Giantsbane made a holy graveyard, then the rapture must've started, because *'WINTER FINALLY CAME'*.
That very last scene when Jon turns away from The White Walker in fear and shock while thousands of Whites just watch them sail away was fucking poetry!
I cried my eyes out. I shut the tv off and closed my eyes and remained silent for about 15 mins. Death brushed past Jon Snow but it felt like it went right through me. Thank you Sir Mormont for Longclaw. Amazing amazing scene. Now just get Bran back and I'll forget this forever...
Tywin Lannister I thought it has been a good season. It's just that it took its time to build up (especially after all that happened in S4) Besides I think this season has been like the rest of the seasons beside S4. Season 3 was also kinda slow, even if it had stuff like jaime losing his hand, daenerys getting the Unsullied and the Red wedding (which to me were the 3 big things of S3).
Tywin Lannister The promo for episode 9 makes me worried, not just because of the attack, but because of what Stannis says ... pleases don't burn her, don't butcher his character when he's on the mend!
3:39 Night King confirmed, Jon is shaping up to be Azor Ahai. This episode felt like the episode which unveiled the transition into a more regular low fantasy, absolutely brilliant!
Adam Moody The same reason the rowers or what ever they are called didn't row. Jon was standing up, he would of most likely fell in the water and I think the giant was like "Fuck this shit, I'm out"
This entire show is pure brilliance. Occasional drops are something that makes it even stronger. It's like masterpiece music, when you think that it's to slow and too silent it suddenly becomes epic symphony with brass and timpani and it just explodes. I'm stunned how magnificent the entire story is and will be. EPIC! By the way acting is superb. It is a first class show, unique in TV history. BRAVO TO ALL ACTORS, PRODUCERS AND GEORGE!
My Reactions - Tyrion & Daenerys Scene: "Hell yeah! With Tyrion on board, Daenerys will finally end the feudal system and help create a constitutional monarchy for the Seven Kingdoms, and a Golden Age of peace and justice shall be born! With the forces of good gathering nothing can stop us!!! :-D" 30 Minutes Later, after Hardhome: "..............................O_o.........................Winter...........Is.......................HERE!"
Yag Shemash Now lets be realistic here. Martin has said that the world and westeros are roughly equivalent to the War of the Roses era. I doubt that martin would put marxism, socialism, and communism in a fuedal westeros. Maybe wait for several hundrsd years then maybe something will pop up. But constitutional monarchy is the fu ture for the Seven Kingdoms.
Yag Shemash The Iron Bank is in Essos. The book "World of Ice and Fire" depicts Braavos as almost a Renaissance-level culture (they even have manual-labor factories for building ships!), while the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros are clearly portrayed as Medieval in both technology and culture.
jarick caesar She wants the common people to stop being abused by the higher powers of the world (the Slavers and Great Slaver Houses in slavers bay and the various lords in westeros) She has made mistakes yes, but I feel she is the only one who could have the vision to end the game once and for all (aka the Feudal system) Nobody on the show currently has that idealolgy in the the show. Stannis cares little i n giving power to the people, Tommen is just a kid with no real vision for the country, Tyrion can never be a king just simply because of what he is (sad but true for these times, but still could be something). Dispite what all the haters may think of her, I think she is great. Many say she is self entitled when everybody who wants to be king is in some way self entitled (else they woundt try to become the monarch) and people give her shit for saying she not playing the game. A dangerous move on her part yes but think of this, maybe we the audience have been watching/"playing" the game for for so long, we can't recognize that there are better ways to run a country then the feudal system. Now we have a character that can help deliver us to a better world, and she is now gathering the people that can make westeros a better place. It will take decades perhaps a century for the last lords of the feudal system to accept their loss of power and it being replaced by some form of a constitutional monarchy. But I believe she has the vision to see us through. As for Aegon, I don't think he is going to be in the show, at least for now, but we will see. Edit: sorry this is so long, this should have been on a forum board insted of youtube. Woops...
The scene between Sam and Ollie, where Sam tells him that sometimes men make decisions that everyone thinks are bad ones, even if he himself knows it's right - is BADLY foreshadowing the big event of this season at The Wall.
Fucking awesome episode. Cersei drinking water off the ground, Arya taking her first steps into assassinating someone, Tyrion throwing some logic in Dany's face... and then the best battle of the entire show(so far).
The BEST ending they've ever done. I had chills, I was literally shaking & half an hr later the terror lingers. As a book reader, the show hasn't made me feel that much shock & stress in a long time. Masterfully done.
I had stomach cramps and I forgot to breathe, so that's telling something how intense and brilliant the episode was. Amazing dialogue too, wonderful dynamics. I was screaming probably disturbing all the neighbours when Jon Snow was struggling. I can't wait for more.
LCNighthawk Azor ahai doesn't have to be just one person, you'd need alot of fire to stop the undead (Dragon's). Or Azor ahai is just the person who figures out how to make valyrian steel again :D
Zemerax "Or Azor ahai is just the person who figures out how to make valyrian steel again" "...figures out how to..." Hmmm. I'm getting a strong Tyrion vibe!
The moment Jon stops the White Walker's sword and kills him was magnificent, I dont think I have felt such joy during this whole show, I was off my feat yelling yeaaaaaahhh :D Great episode, and feels like there is more to come in the last two, good job DD! ;)
pvs ohoneohone From the look on his face. I think he did too! I can just imagine what it must be like to think you're t- totally fucked and then have the best possible answer to your problem in your hand the whole time. All without even knowing it. Orgasmic might be an understatement.
***** well if r+l = j is right he has kings blood also has lightbringer and his wounds were "smoking" when he was stabbed and i forget who but someone was crying and stannis could be wounded at the battle of winterfell so melisandre may call to the red god to revive azor ahai and jon gets revived and not stannis (sorry for any bad grammar)
pvs ohoneohone (SPOILERS: for anyone who is still in the dark about the last episode's likely outcome) Oh wow, that last part you mention could likely happen. It does make sense since Melisandre is nowhere near the Wall anymore. I have a strong feeling she'll be the one to revive Jon. However, as you suggest, it may be done unintentionally. She'll wish for Stannis' (Azor Ahai) to be brought back, only to have Jon end up resurrected instead. :P
The amount of Fanservice in this episode is unreal. Tyrion finally at the side Daeneerys who will finally give him the respect he deserves, Cersei licking water from the floor and the Whitewalker shit we've been asking for 4 seasons now. How can you not love this episode?
Brings me back to when Robert asked Cersei which is more powerful, 5 armies or 1 army with a single cause? The Nights King has that question answered pretty well it appears
Anyone notices how Daenerys doesn't mention House Martell and Greyjoy in her wheel speech? I'm not sure if this is a little shout out to the books, since those two houses do have a different approach towards her "reign", or is it a preview for what this show intends to do in the future.
Yes that ending was the most amazing thing this season and it blew my mind! But can we give a sec to Sophie Turner in that scene, the fucking raw anger and disgust in her voice literally gave me shivers.
What an unbelievable episode.. IMO this is the best thing TV has ever and will ever produce for the following reasons: 1) The great script writing for this episode and the atmosphere they created by this outrageously brilliant script. 2) The unreachable class of directing and the cinematography is absolutely outstanding and probably one of the best things I have ever witnessed in the whole Cinema/TV thing. 3) The stunningly immense acting from Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Kit Harington and of course Iain Glen who is the most underrated actor of the lot and IMO at least deserves an Emmy or a Golden Globe so does the other Actors I had mentioned... But especially Iain just for that scene when Daenerys told him to leave and the look on his face that's something unforgettable!!
Why does Dan say that Sansa assumes that Arya is dead (at 0:35)? The only thing Sansa knows for certain is that Arya disappeared out of sight when the Lannisters overtook the Stark forces when Ned was imprisoned in episode 108. Sansa has no proof that Arya would be dead. After that, Littlefinger hinted to her that he saw Arya alive (which he did at Harrenhal), when they were talking at the docks in episode 301. Also, I can hardly believe that Sansa didn't try to find out more about Arya from Littlefinger (is it true that he saw her, where has he seen her, when exactly, with whom,...) when they travelled together. Do we have to assume that Sansa just forgot that information Littlefinger gave Sansa in episode 301 (very unlikely)? Have Dan and David made a mistake in the show-writing and lost track of that information?
I find it pretty odd that Commander Mormont saw fitting to give Jon the valyrian steel. Like Samwell said when Jon was given his steward assignment under Mormont --"He's grooming you for command." low and behold here he is, killing white walkers with this shiny, powerful blade but, given to him by mormont who knew the truth behind the origins of the white walkers from his experiences with Crasters' baby offerings to these white walkers.
Kevin GT Lol nothing really spoiled this episode though. Hardhome happens in the books and valyrian steel/dragon fire is already mentioned as a weapon against the others.
***** Well, the "dragon steel = valyrian steel" thing was only specuated, so some people will lose their shit just like they did with the white walker baby scene
Kevin GT It's not speculation. Jon and Sam talk about it and go, "Huh. Valyrian steel is probably dragonsteel." They just haven't tested it in the books.
Ixteeler The Night's King was confirmed when he showed up on the tv series the first time. He was listed on HBO's website under that name and they hastily removed it when they realized they confirmed him so early lol. And as a book reader, I don't know why you think anyone would be surprised or upset by this, it's pretty awesome.
North and north and north he looked, to the curtain of light at the end of the world, and then beyond that curtain. He looked deep into the heart of winter, and then he cried out, afraid, and the heat of his tears burned on his cheeks. Now you know,- the crow whispered as it sat on his shoulder.- Now you know why you must live. “Why?”- Bran said, not understanding, falling, falling. Because winter is coming.
Kwendtster I think not. I think they just needed something to call him... I mean he could be, but I'm only going to believe George's word for it. Not two fan fic writers.
Nah they're just calling him Night's King to have a personification to the threat the White Walkers pose. In the books they're like, you know, a force of nature. But that doesn't translate well to the screen, so they just have this lead figure for them, and what better name to call him than one already established in the books. I really really don't think it has any reference to the history GRRM came up with for the Night's King in the book. But of course we can't know for sure.
I truly belive that G.R.R Martin has told D&D everything there is to know about the story, so whenever we see something as significant as this, it is probably a spoiler for Winds of Winter, remember they said there were gonna be a few things this season that is from Winds of Winter. So for once the book readers are getting spoiled lol
This season has been AMAZING! Being a book reader i pretty much know what was coming in every season until now, and i love it! The changes are what the show needed! They really cut out a lot of filler story lines. The changes and NOT knowing what will happen upped the anty for me. Only episode i kinda didn't like was 1 but the others are gems this year.
What happened at Hardhome was NOT a, "battle." It was an absolute obliteration. A massacre from which the Night King was able to multiply his Army of the Dead numbers by like 2 or 3 times.
"She (Sansa) had assumed that her father was dead and her Mother was dead, her sister was dead and both her brothers are dead." Even the show runners forget about Rickon xD
This season may have been slow regarding storyline, but you can't argue against how beautifully crafted every episode is. There's just so much passion and skill that goes into making this show that (to me) makes every episode worth watching.
This episode was awesome!! This undead army is undefeatable unless Daenerys unleash her three dragons and napalm their ass to ashes commanded by Brandon´s warg ability. That would be Epic.
as a book reader i just wanna apologize the first 5 eps i was feeling like you guys have been fking up what gorge rr martin has created but fk me and all of us book readers this was the best thing i have ever seen and I've seen a double rainbow so yeah i bow down to you as humble man who has been corrected do as please i am confident you two will make Gorge proud and also all hail the knights king he shall forever rule over the dead !!!!
Pierin24 Hopefully whatever the hell he's planning interrupts the whole Shireen dilemma Stannis is in right now. And yeah, the southern politics is great, but I love the fucked up world of order vs chaos at The Wall and beyond so much more.
Pierin24 "Trying to pull a Yara never works on GOT." Which is probably exactly what the writers want us all to think. They have five seasons worth of classic examples where what we're expecting and what actually happens are two very different things. I can't remember, but is Ramsay's Dreaded Band of Horrific Fellows also in A Dance with Dragons? I remember the Siege of Winterfell pretty vividly, but only because of what happens towards the end; I can't remember if he takes said 20 men outside the walls.
***** As Show Barristan proved, not even Barristan can pull a Big Damn Heroes moment. Why am I saying "Big Damn Heroes" in the context of Ramsay raiding Stannis the Mannis? Well, good question. Ramsay is the only one who can inadvertently save Shireen from Stannis' wife.
I love how everyone by the end of the last scene looks scared shitless by the whole situation. It's not merely that they're getting slaughtered by a huge army. It's what it represents: the dead rising up to kill the living. There's an ominous and borderline apocalyptic quality to it all; a kind of cryptic an uncanny terror at realizing how truly horrible things are getting. Everyone is scared, the Night's watch, with their hundreds of career criminals and killers, the tough as nail northern free people, the scarred up cannibal people, even the giants.
Definitely best episode of the season so far, until a certain grumpy flying teenager makes his dramatic return :') But I did love the scene between Dany and Tyrion but that battle at hard home is the best of the series so far! Jesus Christ it was good
The Night's King was standing with his arms out like,
"Come at me, Crow."
Anthony Villalobos more like "I am the Lord Commander, now..." (Captain Phillips reference)
Karen Devine Technically, he is a Lord Commander.
Kwendtster true
"Come at me Snow"
Anthony Villalobos "Are you not entertained?"
***** she "does". I guess D&D forgot that Littlefinger told her so back in season 3.
***** Tyrion = awesome.
Daenerys = fuck yeah
Tyrion + Daenerys = Awesomeness overload
Fjottle Too bad her feminazi brain wont show any tits or ass anymore.
Terra Incognita Gaming So you're a feminazi just because you don't want to show your private parts to the entire world? Seems legit.
Fjottle Private Parts? They've already been seen by the entire world, and shes the only actress on the show thats like NOPE.
Night's King looks like Darth Maul on ice.
Ludo Kressh Maybe that's what happened to him, when he fell down that hole. :P
Ludo Kressh You did it wrong, it's: Darth Maul ON ICE!
Ludo Kressh And the giant is Chewbacca on steroids.
MG8256 I was thinking the same thing, LOL!
Ludo Kressh Thought the same thing =)

Dani Lind A few nukes would be enough.
Best episode of season 5 so far. And if it was even a question now we know.
Jon "Snow"= Azor Ahai Reborn
Longclaw= Lightbringer
Jamie Mcgrath I think it is the best episode of all the season so far! And yep that part that longclaw just shattered the walker. I just lost it. The long wait is over... Jon really is Azor Ahai.
Jessica Anquilo i think all around it was the best episode they've ever done
Jamie Mcgrath Didn't even catch that while I was watching. What if it just means Valyrian Steel along with Dragonglass can also kill the white walkers?
Jamie Mcgrath so whos Azor Ahai (Obviusly i havent read the books)
Roberth Osorio awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Azor_Ahai
Suddenly Melisandre doesn't seem like such a bad option compared to the White Walkers!
well. dragons vs white walkers is more worth to watch.
CharlieInWesteros Why did Stannis leave the Wall again? Winterfell means nothing if this army breaks through into Westeros.
***** yes. she is a fraud that coincidentally killed the three kings with Edric's/Gendry's blood. She is a fraud that managed to find Gendry in the middle of the woods. She is a fraud such as Morroqo, who healed Victarion...
Man.. R'hllor is THE shit, whether you like it or not. Also, Jon is likely to be Azor Ahai, one of the greatest R'hllor's alcolyte.
***** She's not a fraud. Or well, at least she doesn't think she is. You should read her one POV chapter.
plushdogg124 He also would've starved at the wall
That first white walker looked like benjan stark to me.
Andrew Emerson actually thought it was tywin lannister
I thought it looked like Corin halfhand
I thought it was The old Lord Commander Mormot
Andrew Emerson It was actually Hot Pie.
Andrew Emerson Actually, it was Hodor.
Felt bad for the lady, really liked her, thought she would become a regular(Val reincarnation)
Slymind Agreed, she was pretty cool in what little we saw of her
Val didn't appear at all in tbe episode yet she is casted
Slymind Right? I was already attached to her, although at the moment they showed her sending the girls to the Wall, I knew some shit was gonna go down and they were gonna kill her off :(
She turned into a walker just as people do on the walking dead. But year it was sad.
Yeah i liked her too! Her name was Karsi. Kind of a badass sounding name too.
I love that Sansa knows Bran and Rickon could be alive. And that four of five remaining Starks are in the North (Rickon is on Skagos). Could set up something interesting. Sansa better be on her fucking game
Or full on Stark revival in the North If the Boltons can GTFO
rickon is at last hearth with the umbers
DeadlyBeard Gaming That is true since we are talking about the show here. In the books Rickon is at Skagos and Sansa's story is completely different.

basboosa interesting....well looks like they need Danyeras to help them out.....she has Rhagel and Vaseryion locked up and Drogon has gone AWOL.
Tici Toty Tony A lot of fire and dragonglass/swords, these guys aren't that bad.

Chris M Well the Arya storyline is a little slow and boring at the moment and I don't really see how she would become important later on.

Tara Main You'd be dead.
I think sam is blessed because every time he makes a promise that someone will be okay, they usually are.
*Heres my take on Episode 8:*

...Then my mind kinda broke in the last 20 minutes...Giantsbane made a holy graveyard, then the rapture must've started, because *'WINTER FINALLY CAME'*.
MrMyster1ous Giantsbane? What has the Tarly sword got to do with ep8?
minj4ever It's Tormund's nickname, Tormund Giantsbane
ernesto krapf Indeed it is. /fail
Giantsbane vs Heartsbane ;)
William Braddell Immediately gave the comment a like when I read that. Then continued laughing.
That very last scene when Jon turns away from The White Walker in fear and shock while thousands of Whites just watch them sail away was fucking poetry!
The thing that makes me sad is that Wun Wun is probably the last ever surviving giant.
I was so worried that he was going to die this episode.
And if you are worried about mammoths being extinct don't worry, they are plenty of them living in the north east of westeros in Ibb.
Nick baker I was afraid he was gonna turn wight.. imagine fighting that haha
Stannis The Mannis Glad he escaped into the sea with his human friends
Horace Warfield But, he'll die there? He can't sit in a boat and the sea just gets deeper and deeper... :'(
I cried my eyes out. I shut the tv off and closed my eyes and remained silent for about 15 mins. Death brushed past Jon Snow but it felt like it went right through me. Thank you Sir Mormont for Longclaw. Amazing amazing scene. Now just get Bran back and I'll forget this forever...
Wow dont watch the season finale...
Masterful episode! Makes up for all the bad this season's had. Also Ramsay's little plan with those 20 men better fail big time.
Tywin Lannister I thought it has been a good season. It's just that it took its time to build up (especially after all that happened in S4)
Besides I think this season has been like the rest of the seasons beside S4. Season 3 was also kinda slow, even if it had stuff like jaime losing his hand, daenerys getting the Unsullied and the Red wedding (which to me were the 3 big things of S3).
I've actually loved this season as much as last season. Guess I like where the story lines have been heading more than some?
Tywin Lannister every season has been amazing and I appreciate every episode.
Tywin Lannister The promo for episode 9 makes me worried, not just because of the attack, but because of what Stannis says ... pleases don't burn her, don't butcher his character when he's on the mend!
Tywin Lannister Shut up, you're dead.
3:39 Night King confirmed, Jon is shaping up to be Azor Ahai. This episode felt like the episode which unveiled the transition into a more regular low fantasy, absolutely brilliant!
Why didn't the giant just grab the boat and pull it behind him?
Cause Jon wouldn't be able to see the Night's King show off his new recruits
Binuyaka Vanilla He said 'pull' not 'push'...but that is still pretty funny.
Adam Moody Swinging a burning log at walkers like a whiffle bat can be exhausting.
Adam Moody The same reason the rowers or what ever they are called didn't row. Jon was standing up, he would of most likely fell in the water and I think the giant was like "Fuck this shit, I'm out"
Adam Moody Because the giant doesn't give a shit about Jon. That was proven in the looks he gave everyone in the hut xD
My Reactions -
Tyrion & Daenerys Scene: "Hell yeah! With Tyrion on board, Daenerys will finally end the feudal system and help create a constitutional monarchy for the Seven Kingdoms, and a Golden Age of peace and justice shall be born! With the forces of good gathering nothing can stop us!!! :-D"
30 Minutes Later, after Hardhome: "..............................O_o.........................Winter...........Is.......................HERE!"
Not for those poor wildlings it ain't. RIP Wildlings. :-(
Yag Shemash Now lets be realistic here.
Nevin Temple he should have had that talk with Aegon.
also, daenerys good?
how is she good in any possible way?
jarick caesar She wants the common people to stop being abused by the higher powers of the world (the Slavers and Great Slaver Houses in slavers bay and the various lords in westeros) She has made mistakes yes, but I feel she is the only one who could have the vision to end the game once and for all (aka the Feudal system) Nobody on the show currently has that idealolgy in the the show.
Woops...
That's without a doubt the most epic and badass action scene I ever saw on TV.
The best episode of the series so far!!! The battle with whitewalkers was badass!!!
Those shivers when jon screamed : NIGHT'S WATCH ! WITH MEEEEE !
I had stomach cramps and I forgot to breathe, so that's telling something how intense and brilliant the episode was. Amazing dialogue too, wonderful dynamics. I was screaming probably disturbing all the neighbours when Jon Snow was struggling. I can't wait for more.
That badass giant in Hardhome might be Wun Wun from the books, not confirmed yet but DAMN I hope so!
He's Wun Wun
Tormund shouted his name while going for the boat
Wun Wun you must run run!
*****
Hahaha, that pun was pretty nice
Tbh if I didn't had subtitles I would have thought Tormund shouted Run, Run xD Earendil of House Dayne of Starfall
MG8256 There was a knight from Hong Kong called Sir Run Run. Google him, I'm not joking.
Kit Harington's acting was sterling, the ending gave me chills. One of the best episodes in the whole series!
That wilding women was so fine... and she died :'(
DarkFox2071 I know!!! I hope this helps... Her name is Birgitte Hjort Sørensen.
Mattomaton no, her name was Karsi, that is the actrees name
The difference!?!?!?!?!
Rome Werty Thanks Cpt. Obvious
DarkFox2071 And they have to show her saying good bye to her daughters before, B&B you bastards :(
When that snowstorm rolled down those mountains, chills rolled down my spine with it.
JON IS THE ONLY HOPE OF THE DEFEAT THE NIGHT'S KING!! THE KING SEE HIM AS A TREAT BECAUSE HE KNOWS THE TRUTH: HE IS AZOR AHAI
LCNighthawk Azor ahai doesn't have to be just one person, you'd need alot of fire to stop the undead (Dragon's). Or Azor ahai is just the person who figures out how to make valyrian steel again :D
Zemerax "Or Azor ahai is just the person who figures out how to make valyrian steel again"
"...figures out how to..."
Hmmm. I'm getting a strong Tyrion vibe!
LCNighthawk Does he see him as a tasty treat?
LCNighthawk no
You can't be fucking Azor Azhai and be a secret Targaryen. That's too fucking based!
The moment Jon stops the White Walker's sword and kills him was magnificent, I dont think I have felt such joy during this whole show, I was off my feat yelling yeaaaaaahhh :D Great episode, and feels like there is more to come in the last two, good job DD! ;)
i came alittle when jon stopped that sword
pvs ohoneohone From the look on his face. I think he did too! I can just imagine what it must be like to think you're t- totally fucked and then have the best possible answer to your problem in your hand the whole time. All without even knowing it. Orgasmic might be an understatement.
***** well sam did say that lightbringer (azor ahais sword) could just be a valyrian steel sword so jon = azor ahai confirmed
***** well if r+l = j is right he has kings blood also has lightbringer and his wounds were "smoking" when he was stabbed and i forget who but someone was crying and stannis could be wounded at the battle of winterfell so melisandre may call to the red god to revive azor ahai and jon gets revived and not stannis (sorry for any bad grammar)
pvs ohoneohone (SPOILERS: for anyone who is still in the dark about the last episode's likely outcome)
Oh wow, that last part you mention could likely happen. :P
dantespimp This would be the greatest thing to happen in any fiction ever. Hope that's what happens.
I cried at the end of the episode because that battle was perfection.
This should put an end to the joke that winter never comes. Winter fucking crashed through the roof in this episode, literally!
I was constantly chanting "dont die Jon Snow" during the fight... He must live
Alfie Allen is definitely one of the best actors in GOT
The amount of Fanservice in this episode is unreal. Tyrion finally at the side Daeneerys who will finally give him the respect he deserves, Cersei licking water from the floor and the Whitewalker shit we've been asking for 4 seasons now. How can you not love this episode?
If you still don't like D&D and season5 after this episode, I have no words for you.
That nights king will shit himself when he sees me grit my teeth.
Nah you're going bend the knee to him.
Ha. Amatour.
Euron Motherfucking Greyjoy Crow's Eye gots you all bending over.
Stannis The Mannis The Wall protects White Walkers from Stannis.
There is only one king, and he's of the night.
It's the same feeling that Jon felt-that his uncle Benjen knew of...speaking of Benjen Game of Thrones-please bring him back!!
"She's been married off to a terrible psychopath"
Yeah, by YOU
I'm a book reading snob, but MAN that was a great episode!
Three words: Westeros. Is. Fucked.
***** EVERYONE. WILL. DIE.
And then brought back to life as undead thralls.
However Essos, Sothoryos, and Ulthos are all fine and dandy
Mortis206 Give it time. I'm sure they'll be feeling the cold winds of winter soon enough.
Andrew Fowler Every. Fucking. Chicken.
What an unbelievable episode.. IMO this is the best thing TV has ever and will ever produce for the following reasons:
1) The great script writing for this episode and the atmosphere they created by this outrageously brilliant script.
The Lich King can whoop the Night's King's ass any day of the week!
***** Fuck that... then there is absolutely no HOPE!
MG8256 Arthas, the day you were born..
TheTripol The very Arthas of Lordaeron whispered the name.....Arthas.
Anthony Villalobos The only reason the lich king didn't annihilate azeroth is because arthas still had some control, so....
Yet we have the Night's King who be looking at Jon like, "The Long Night has begun."
Omg Coldhands and cleganebowl are coming!!!!!
Amazing battle boy the way!
hype ?
dolotop1 Wait, where was Coldhands? But that Cersei scene though, Qyburns still working. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
***** FRAKENMOUTAINSTEIN
***** Well we didn't see him die so...
I find it pretty odd that Commander Mormont saw fitting to give Jon the valyrian steel.
Like Samwell said when Jon was given his steward assignment under Mormont
--"He's grooming you for command."
low and behold here he is, killing white walkers with this shiny, powerful blade
but, given to him by mormont who knew the truth behind the origins of the white walkers from his experiences with Crasters' baby offerings to these white walkers.
NIGHTS KING FINALLY FULLY CONFIRMED OH MY LORD
0:37 He says "... and that both her brothers are dead." Yet, she has three brothers. I think we can all agree that I should become the new Director :D
kind of annoyed lord of bones died so quickly. i wanted to know more about him and his bone collection
***** hes no wight because tormund made sure he crushed his skull
Hahaha
Good job guys! Best episode so far!
I would love GRR's opinion on this episode.
Dan Sallies "STOP SPOILING MY SHIT" - GRRM. lol
William Braddell Bu we didn't know that it was the Night's King, we just knew it was a White Walker.
Sansa can see hope finally, her brothers are still alive, and now she must find them
Nights king confirmed by the show runners in this video. lol you can feel book readers rage.
Ixteeler I'm a book reader and there is no rage on my end, I'm glad its a confirmed theory.
Ixteeler different canon #care
Ixteeler The Night's King was confirmed when he showed up on the tv series the first time. He was listed on HBO's website under that name and they hastily removed it when they realized they confirmed him so early lol. And as a book reader, I don't know why you think anyone would be surprised or upset by this, it's pretty awesome.
Ixteeler Why would we rage exactly?
Ixteeler I was just a bit shocked with how nonchalant they were about it. They make is sound like we were already supposed to know.
So many hints at Jon getting betrayed this season. Olly constantly saying he hates the wildlings, Allister taunting Sam, Gilly almost getting raped...
BRUH
This episode literally left me with chills.
This is more like it guys. Well done.
akira543 To me, this episode complemented everything that has been bad with this season. I've never actually shaked in this way watching got.
best episode yet, even better than the red wedding
amazing episode, thanks david and dan was a great birthday present.
D.B Weiss forgot about Robb lol, he says Sansa lost her father mother sister and two brothers.
If Theon didn't say anything about Bran and Rickon I think I would have had a stroke
So is this a confirmation from D and D the 13th Lord Commander of Nights Watch is now leading the Whitewalkers?
Kwendtster Yep.
Nick Reed
I can dig it!
What happened at Hardhome was NOT a, "battle."
It was an absolute obliteration.
A massacre from which the Night King was able to multiply his Army of the Dead numbers by like 2 or 3 times.
"She (Sansa) had assumed that her father was dead and her Mother was dead, her sister was dead and both her brothers are dead."
Even the show runners forget about Rickon xD
Best episode so far! It got me inhaling like a junkie.
This season may have been slow regarding storyline, but you can't argue against how beautifully crafted every episode is. There's just so much passion and skill that goes into making this show that (to me) makes every episode worth watching.
SUCH A GOOD EPISODE.
That White Walker with his 'Oh shit!' face on full blast when Jon stopped his swing.
Possibly THE BEST episode evah!!!
***** Agreed, this episode made me forgive Ser Barristan's death finally.
The creators seem to have forgotten that Sansa learned that Arya's alive only a few episodes back (which didn't have any visible impact on her)...
Jon is Azor Ahai. Suck it Melisandre. Quite literally death from above.
Nope it's just that Valyrian steel can kill white walkers as well as obsidian.
Stannis The Mannis There's the butthurt king. Should I grab some preparation H?
Actually podric is Azor Ahai and will wield lightbringer and slay the white walkers
Mortis206 No hot pie is, and he will wield a lightsaber to kill the white walkers while riding a motorcycle
HTCEVOSONGS
they saved season 5 with this episode the white walker fighting scene was amazing to watch hope episodes 9 and 10 are just as good love GoT
For once I don't give a shit about southern politics.
GIVE US MORE WHITEWALKERS !!!!!
PS Ramsay is fucked. Trying to pull a Yara never works on GOT.
***** Exactly....although we can still hope, I guess.
Pierin24 Hopefully whatever the hell he's planning interrupts the whole Shireen dilemma Stannis is in right now. And yeah, the southern politics is great, but I love the fucked up world of order vs chaos at The Wall and beyond so much more.
Pierin24 southerns dont know that who is their real enemy...!
Pierin24
"Trying to pull a Yara never works on GOT."
Which is probably exactly what the writers want us all to think.
Everyone is scared, the Night's watch, with their hundreds of career criminals and killers, the tough as nail northern free people, the scarred up cannibal people, even the giants.
dont worry guys Olly will save everyone...
😂
Olly will be the dagger in the dark
Vastardo de la Norte Ides of Olly
Vastardo de la Norte Fuck Olly.
Olly is the prince that was promised
Best episode of this season so far
Holy shit NIGHT'S KING (night king?) COMFIRMED!!
What an episode! That ending had me at the edge of my seat!
Definitely best episode of the season so far, until a certain grumpy flying teenager makes his dramatic return :')
But I did love the scene between Dany and Tyrion but that battle at hard home is the best of the series so far! Jesus Christ it was good
Mike Watt Don't you mean the Massacre at Hardhome?
Hahaha, yeah my bad it was more of a slaughter. Visuals were awesome though!
Phenomenal episode. This season has been mindblowing - no other show can compare to this one.
Ed summed up the entire GoT fandom last night. "OH FUUUUCKK"
Loved Danny and Tyrion's interaction because he's so wise.
Night King to Jon Snow "Come at me crow!"
Finally an episode that felt like Game of Thrones!
