    How about a basic "how to install on a Winchester 94" video? How does the sight attach to the receiver? etc!

    Just mounted an FP on my Winchester 94 angle eject big bore. Took it to the range and sighted in. Easy to install and I love this sight. Got the target knobs and installed the elevation knob NP. Windage not so easy as the instructions were not clear. So left it off. Should have watched this video first, as now I know how to add the windage knob. Also great service from Brian at Williams.

    Would be nice if you guys had some sort of installation video. I think getting it mounted on the rifle correctly is more important than knowing how to take the sight apart, something I doubt I will ever have to do

      jho107 Well said. Who wants to rip,this thing apart. Once on the gun it normally stays in one piece.

      As an owner of one of these, the sight has not been adjusted or disassembled in over 30 years, so yeah this video looks almost pointless

      this vid isn't about randomly "taking it apart".....it's about installing target knobs on the basic model....

    Did you ever create an installation video?

    Thank you for the video. It's nice to know how the inner workings of the sight adjustments are designed. I'm trying to determine the correct Williams sight for a 1960's era Marlin Model 57. It has 2 drilled and tapped holes on the left side of the receiver. Can you offer any advice regarding the correct sight for this rifle, as I can't find the Model 57 as a listed model on the Williams website.

    hey Alex, you may want to add a website homepage link to your RUclips "About" page. I missed your link during the video and had to go looking for it. Let me know if you need any help. Also, I am looking for a set of adjustable sights for my Glock 26. Can you recommend something.

    Greetings at Williams Gun Sight Company. I've been looking for a Williams Sight for a Savage 99 pre tang safety model. I would buy it - if that type of sight is still made for the Savage 99.

    • @MarkiusFox
      @MarkiusFox 5 лет назад +1

      The FP-99S should work for the pre-tang safety, the product page mentioning that such a model will need to be drilled and tapped for the sight.
      Hope that helps

      @@MarkiusFox I appreciate your response buts it's not an ideal situation. I do like the Williams sights and experience has shown that they work well for me. But your suggestion doesn't help that much... When I mounted a Williams aperture sight on my Winchester Model 94 I did not have to drill any extra holes in my rifle chassis. As the Williams sight bolted into factory holes. So in my view the WIlliams company is being lazy in not having built a proper sight for the Savage 99 Pre Tang Safety model rifles which could be mounted on the tang without drilling any extra holes. Keeping in mind that the older Redfield (70) and Lyman (see 56S) 57SA) companies and a few others designed their sights to bolt up to the tang area and these companies made their sights fit the M-99 design. If I wanted to drill extra holes I would mount a scope to the rifle.

    Do you make one to fit the Henry single shot/break action rifles?

    Hi guys is there a FP sight that i could drill and tap onto a Rossi Model 92 lever action; i guess it's similar to a Winchester Model 92 action? And if so what type and size screws would i need?

  • @frankmiller702

    I really wish that Williams would make a peep site for my Marlin Model 55 Goose gun. It seems like a few of the sights would work with slight modification but without any actual dimensions given we wouldn't know which site to buy that could be modified to fit. I see countless articles of people wanting them. (hint hint Williams)

    I am looking at your website and I can't find a sight for the two Winchester rifles I own. I have a model 1886 in 45/70, and a model 1892 in 44 magnum. Both are Winchester lever action rifles. Do you make FP sights for those? Or any sights for those?

    • @XWGTHOII
      @XWGTHOII 3 года назад +1

      Carl, just in case you've not found out already... I also have an 1886 in 45/70, and it appears that the FP-71 (part # 1266) is - allegedly - correct for that rifle. We'll know for sure soon, I've just ordered one!

    I took apart one of my hawken FP sights to do an adjustment and lost the small spring that pushes a small bearing against the elevation screw. Can a fella get a replacement spring for my hawken FP sight?

    Decent for a 22, useless one a real high power rifle

  • @CandidZulu

    Very poor quality sight. The locking screw for the elevation is threaded into the aluminium body, and it breaks VERY easily. It makes the sight useless. I suggest fitting a longer screw with more thread engagement. It's a 6-48 standard gunsmith screw. The one supplied is very short. This screw will see a lot of action when you adjust for different distances.
