    Mad props for being able to do fine things like this mod with those shaky hands, Andy! I'm really afraid of not being able to use my hands someday (they're fine now, nothing wrong with them), but you lend hope, man.

    Fantastic, Andy! Thanks a lot! 😃
    I've already watched this part in the longer video, but this way it's much easier to find later! 😃
    Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

    Excellent tutorial! I wouldn't be able to do this with my shaky hands though. Luckily, I have a source for 280 servos.

    Great job on this Andy. Your linked DPI-9180MG servo is out of stock. Any other recommendations? 180+ degree servos are hard to find.

      The only other ones are the bag servos (bad ass gimbal) they are 35 quid each but they are Digi servos. They come with the mod already done. Hobby king do 180mg servos but never tried the mod on them and they are a funny size

    Will two 2K resistors will work this way for any servo & give a continuous rotation & hold with all it strength or will it lose it hold power?

  • @FireDFPV
    @FireDFPV Год назад

    Is the torque still the same? I have watch another 360 servo mod video, with the potentiometer disconnecting method, says that the torque is gone no matter how powerful the servo was before the mod.

    Maybe a piece of tape to secure the top from popping loose?

    How critical is it to use 2k resisters, as I've got some 2.2k ?

    Is is possible to do a similar mod to the Turnigy 180 that you show in the first min?

      @raven_fpv 2 года назад +1

      @Crosswind Jones Yes, you can do it to that turnigy one because I just did it myself and it works perfectly.

    Is that possible to make 360 degree non continuous servo?? I added 3.3k resistance and angle got increased but i need more 360 degree,is there any way to make this???? Potentiometer is important to hold angle.

    Very interesting Andy but I have another problem you might be able to help me with. I brought a number of winch servos (continuously turn) by mistake, is there anyway that they can be altered back to 180 degree throw please?

    • @AndyRCchannel
      @AndyRCchannel  3 месяца назад

      Not that I'm aware I think some people can control them with an Arduino board

      haha yeap. I couldn't see a better solution even now? most of the stuff i learned early on was from your channel.. the others did not exist. this is an extract from my 2 hour build.

      @@AndyRCchannel Nope, this is still the best option I found to get more than 180º from a small servo. I really wish there was a smaller option that works as well as the 1-turn GWS servos... lol On my Talon 250G I used a Turnigy 5g servo that gives me 180º if I drive it with a PWM range of 500-2500uS. I've been meaning to pick up another one of these JX servos and try driving it like that with an extended PWM range and see if it works well without having to mod it.

      @AndyRCchannel  2 года назад +3

      @@bonafidepirate how would you drive them? with a servo stretcher? iv tried that, the servos lock up veer easily with rapid head movements... someone please make us a micro 1 turns 360 servo for the 5 people that want one ;)

    • @ojkolsrud1
      @ojkolsrud1 2 года назад

      @@bonafidepirate What I don't understand is that if you take a servo and manually move the arm, it stops mechanically on each end of its range. I get that if you change the resistor values, you're changing the PWM and thusly the microcontroller will interpret 0 degrees as a negative angle, and 180 as an angle greater than it. But that doesn't change the fact that there's a mechanical stopper in there.
