Absolutely astonishing the level of detail and understanding you show of dealing with the corrosion under the vehicle. What an expert. It’s truly satisfying to see someone so good at what they do 👍
Thank you for your enlightenment of knowledge, this helps me a lot with my dream build for an e30 touring, I want the best for it and going for a full restoration stripping it bare to bone and dipping it in the liquids and completely rust preventing, I didn’t know the proper full job way was to strip the car to its bare shell although, a restoration like this seems like the adequate minimum as it’s better treated then left to rust. Also as the e46 is in correlation to the e39 I would also imagine they have the same alike corrosion problems today so talking care of them now will save them for the future generations to come. Great channel ❤
Would love to see more detail on the actual work to get the car to these milestone points you go through. Love the work and always makes me want the best for my M3!
Thanks Tom, this is something we're actively trying to find ways to improve on. Hopefully more timelapse content as a next step. Thanks for the comment.
Another great video. I agree with the comments about pricing. Yes you may scare some people away, but you may also have a lot of potential customers who would think “ actually that’s within my budget” as viewers we aren’t expecting exact pricing but a rough guide I think would compliment your videos well 👍🏼
Nederman SB750 will clear out those rust pitting areas It's a vacuum blaster. Perfect for spot treatments without making loads of mess. It tidied up the underside of my 2004 beautifully 👌 Ain't cheap, but well worth it if you'll use it often!
Love watching your videos, keep up the great work! I have an E46, and I am wondering do you sell those kits you mentioned for the jacking points? I couldn't find them on your website. If you do, would they work for a regular E46 or is it only for M3s?
@@RedishMotorsportbmw My pleasure. It's great to watch people who know what they're doing/talking about sharing their passion and knowledge. This channel is on a par with M539, I rest my case! Looking forward to the next video 👍👍
There’s a lovely mint manual example at my main dealer in Toulouse up for 46,000€ on 75,000 kms, cars are way more expensive in France, maybe a good investment for someone.
Would love to do this to mine however I’m sure this is big money. If I was going to keep it forever I would do it however I think there’s a 997 in the future for me after the M3. Amazing job!!!
amazing work....ironically those shocks would be an MoT advisory straight away...all the money the guy has spent, a another few hundred quid on shocks would have finished it off.
Nice Resto! What product did you use to create that wonderful "lizard skin" effect on the underbody? It looks awesome! I'm restoring an Mercedes W126 and am looking for such a finish! Greetings from Germany, Marlon
Man...cars in the uk get eaten alive by rust over there..im in New Zealand ..my e46 m3 has 180 thousand KM....and mine is absolutely mint underneath...no rust..looks like new
You need to start taking money we’re not watching to watch . We all have plans on doing this to our bmws . Please start talking money so we can get a rough idea on what you charge .
Seriously all I can think of is I can't afford this but maybe I can probably I can't but maybe I can God it's killing me I want this done everybody wants a nice old car that is like new again because new car suck
Watched one the other week. Basically the same job, think front wheel arches got done. A lot of new parts fitted In the comment was mentioned it cost the guy £31k
Absolutely stunning work!
Thank you for your dedication and thank you to your customers who really appreciate and value your work.

Thanks Phil, looking forward to doing a unique panel repair/replacement on yours soon!
@@RedishMotorsportbmw Likewise! Be good to do this major part of the restoration.

I wish there was someone like you in Australia I could take my car to. Spectacular work, I have a Phoenix Yellow also.
Wish you were stationed in the US! You guys do very detailed restoration work!! Very clean and tidy!! Love the before and after results!

brilliantly done! 👏🏻
Thank you!
I agree with the other guys. What are the likely costings of a similar job on a 2005 E46?

Next time can we see all the work done to the Jacking points . Would like to see the metal cut out and the new reinforcing plates you fit.
Will do Colin. New Redish product intro video coming v soon. Thanks.
Amazing work
Amazing work as always. 👌
Thank you so much 😀
Just looked at the thumbnail wondering if its "titanium nitrate" and ceramic
🤷♂️🤷♂️🤳
These fellas do my Z4M Coupe and they do fantastic work!
Thanks for the kind words Ali!
What process are you using to remove rust? Is it laser, dry ice or the combination of the two? Amazing work!
Luvely! ❤
Once i graduate medical school i hope to have this done to mine😍😍😍
Use dry ice detailing to make the old parts look new 😁dry Ice detailing is so satisfying to watch.

What material did you use to coat this underbody? What all layers you applied starting from bare metal?
@redishmotorsportbmw Can Line-X or raptor bedliner be applied to the BMW E46 undercarriage, will it make the undercarriage more durable?
@redish I thought you announced that you stopped doing full underside resto's a few years back?
Hi a1, yes we did put them on hold mid-2018 and had a 6 month break, but demand has always been high so in early 2019 we opened the diary again.
Really wanna know a rough price 🤩

Thats something you could easily do at a later date
The dampers would not be an advisory.
@@davog1946 they would..as mine were exactly the same and got an advisory for corrosion on the bolt fastening point..
Looks amazing…how much are talking for the work you’ve done on this car?
Gives us a ball park figure of the price please.

I'm guessing a sprayable coating like "Gravitex" out of a shultzgun, then primed and painted. It does look nice!
Possibly Raptor , by Upol
Goes on from a schultz gun but is colour-able with the cars colour paint
Dries to a very tough, durable finish
On those pitted areas , you need a spot sandblaster
Rust stabilisers/neutralisers don't really work in my experience, it always comes back
What does RACP stand for please?
Rear axle carrier panel
Royal Australasian College of Physicians
Red Ass Chili Peppers
Anyone have a map with part numbers of the underbody and wheel arch plugs? Parts diagrams are useless.
bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/E46-Coupe/Europe/M3-S54/browse/vehicle_trim/sealing_cap_plug/
Wheel Arch Grommets are 20mm and are part number 07147140850

"5 figures" they say

If you have to ask the price of it, then you can't afford it
about 40k I reckon
Costs more than what it's worth. (Unless you are doing it yourself) You will never get the chassis fully clean of rust.
Owner should have gone the whole way with this. Those rusty bits just ruin what looks like a beautiful restoration. Open that wallet Car owner!
You don't show me anything that you speak about bhala bhala bhala
Blah blah blah
Cars in UK are ready to send to junkyard at 74K miles because of the corrosion.
