I first found Dale in a made for TV movie "Angels Sing". The Movie has Willie Nelson, Harry Connick Jr, Kris Kristofferson, Lyle Levett, Ray Benson and Connie Britton Dale preforms "Mistletoe On Death Row". I've been a fan ever since, and the aforementioned song is on my Christmas playlist.
He's definitely right. I was a die-hard Country fan but what's considered Country now they can keep. It's pop more than anything. I don't listen to "new country". I turn it to the stations that play the soul-wrenching, story-telling Country that I'll always love. It's just sad what's been taken away these days.
I think I heard another "10"? Yep, two in a row! He sounds alot like Ray Scott (or vice versa). "My Kind of Music" would be a good addition to your line-up of music this week. I know Mr. Watson was born in Alabama, but he's a Texan. Moved to Texas as a teen and his band is based in Austin. Would make my year if we kept this going with Texas artists the rest of the week!
Funny you mentioned "Everybody must get Stoned"... My middle son drove about 25 hrs straight to make it here for Mother's Day. Lets just say he brought some "party favors"! Now I haven't toked up in well over 30 years being that Christine and I had made the military our careers. But an invite is an invite, so I partook. :-) Took quite a bit to effect me but once I got there...its like somebody had snuck into my world and wet sanded everything including my worries baby smooth! I heard that Willie has his own patented blend...got me intrigued now. :-)
Boys will be boys but my red wine is soothing enough for me! Funny, this morning our son who came in from Washington was telling us that everyone has been saying he sings a certain country song really well, we said which song? "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas ft Billy Ray Cyrus, to which David replied, "Son, that ain't country, come listen to this song, it fully applies"! And proceeded to play him this review! 😆 BTW another fun one Don! 😃
@Christine Ems David is teaching him the right ways of country music!! Lil Nas and Billy Ray? Dear lowered, but I'm glad he's thinking country, anyhow. Then again, Daddy was smoking with the so his opinion about music might only be reaching so far. Ha!!
I love your reactions some of my favorites are of colter wall. I just came across an independent country artist that’s been around since 1999 by the name of Aaron Watson. I know what’s with all the Watsons popping up lately. He’s wrote some beautiful songs and I would really like you to check out July in Cheyenne please. P.S. keep up the good work
@Blake Fields Thanks for the kind words and the intel! Gonna take me a while to make my through my current list, but don't hesitate to make suggestions since every so often the timing is right and I can bump one up the list without causing myself too many problems.
I understand thanks for taking time to reply. I was really surprised by the song too because first look at the title and I thought oh a nice little love song remembering a summer spent in Cheyenne and I was wrong and it was so much more beautiful a song I almost cried.
@@RockN2Country I found the video that you were able to play, thank you. If you haven't already (I've only recently found your great channel) please check out Alan's Where Have You Gone, it's a tearjerker.
Funny song and fun. There some truth floating around there! So, this has nothing to do with this video, other than the fact that it's just good, new country music. I know you've done some of Tyler Childers songs. There's such a good one that is not on his albumsand I'm not sure It's been requested. Bus Route! It's such a good one and shows another side to him. ruclips.net/video/66cVa0fUCqs/видео.html
@Robert Carter Ha, no trouble at all!! I always text Carolyn whenever I mention her on here, and she told me it would have cost me a lot of money if it had been me using potty mouth like that (I use it waaaaay worse than that when I'm talking with some of my friends up here). So no problem there!

@frsot1977 Now I'm curious---what was that about?
You got a good 'un there.
Dale Watson is awesome
He tried to be nice about the way he felt but nothing changed after he released the song Nashville Rash.
You should react to Dale's From The Cradle to The Grave and or Call Me Insane.
Is Hank 3 singing the tennor part?
Cooder Graw - “My Give a Damn is Broken”
Because he plays in Austin.
Dale Watson carrying on this way is a good song it's not rough like this one it's a normal country song
Listen to George Strait abd Alan Jackson's Murder on Music Row, they tell it as it is ...
@fenlori I did that one a few years ago and it was blocked. I was sooooo bummed.
