3 round restriction is for hunting only, otherwise canada doesnt have a limitation on rounds in a pump action shotgun, you can take the plug out and put a mag extension on that shotgun.

Statistics show that the majority of self defense shootings are 2.3 shots fired. ( Where the hell the .3 came from, I don't know) So, if someone enters your house at 4AM without asking permission, a 3 shot shotgun should be sufficient. In all my years as a Paramedic, I only had one patient who survived a hit from a 12 gauge shotgun. All the others expired ( died ) either before we arrived, or in the ambulance, or later at the hospital.

I know this is an older vid but as a newer subscriber I'm surfing thru your various playlists doing a little binging. I did want to point out one thing for those in a similar situation to yourself where a shorter length of pull is needed. If you're looking to by a new gun and not upgrade an existing, look for one of the youth models. Both Mossberg and Remington have offerings. They aren't just great for younger shooters, they're great for those of smaller stature be it a lady or a guy. They typically come with shorter stock and sometimes have option for a slightly shorter barrel which can also be a big bonus for a tactical gun as well. Also people shouldn't snub their nose at those youth models in 20ga either as it can be more manageable for youth and smaller stature people and not giving up much lethality. In a defensive situation 00 buck or slug out of a 20 is a devastating round. Now if it's a dual purpose, being hunting and defense possibly you give up some range on the outdoor but a 20 is still a fine gauge. It's not all about machismo, if a person can fire and reacquire faster and more comfortably with a 20 then go with a 20.

I love to see any firearm enthusiast, but I feel for you guys up north. You have a great shotgun and you can't even fill it up with the amount of shells it was made to handle. You gentlemen have to get a revolution going up there and get all your countrymen together and write yourselves up a new constitution that allows you more adequate firearm rights for all the U.K. If enough people demand it, it will happen. Hi Kyle, I just won an 18.5" Mossberg 590A1 on Gun Broker last week, and I'm wondering what socket and length you used to put the new Hogue stock on. I was under the impression that it was a flat-head screw? That might be the case on the 590's rather than the 500 though. I'm a short-statured guy with short arms, so I need a shorter LOP. They don't make a stock for the Winchester SXP so I just cut it down. When I say "just", I had to also modify the slip-on Limbsaver pad to fit it to the reduced size stock and make it work with the sling connection way back. Then I had to work with the stock shell holder I use. All in all it really wasn't bad or took a lot of time. I'm also 5' 6" and it feels more natural to me now. I can now put the butt to the right of my chest rather than into the shoulder blade area which keeps the shotgun more "centered" for tactical use as one keeps their torso more squared to the target as opposed to more angled for hunting.
