Hi there. Unfortunately, i'm a user and not working with the maintenance. but you said the scanning works on it's own or continuously, maybe the Green scanning button maybe faulty and being pressed on it's own. but you better check with a local customer support or maintenance company.
My Printer works fine however the LAN light is NOT green is orange I used it like this without any issues until I wanted to connect the Scanner and the FILE is not found on the PC do you know of additional settings? And if go to Clear Mode 107 STOP Do you know the code that may hold this information to make it green?
Hey brandon, well, since i'm connecting the copier on the same main router that has my internet, so no need to modify anything on your laptop's connection, since the copier have a static-IP so no need to change anything else at all, any connected device to the same router can find the copier, install it, print or scan using it.

InfernoProj, You are welcome, 1stly: it's easy to determine whether your copier has an interface board or not just by looking at the left side of the copier at the back and you would notice there is a USB Type-B Port or Lan Port, this way it must have an Interface. and 2ndly: you can connect the copier to the back of your wifi router and this way any wifi connected device should print on the copier without any problems. I hope this may help.

You can connect the printer to something called Wireless Print-Server and then access that print server IP and configure it and connect with it to your wireless router.
You can usually know the IP Family according to your existing network, so it could be 192.168.0.X, 192.168.1.X or 10.0.0.X and so on .. all you need to do is just to assign a static IP for the copier cause this is how it will be identified through the network.

I wouldn't recommend connecting it directly via a LAN cable as the cable should be cross over, or the computer's LAN should support full duplex to make it work, i would recommend that you connect it to your router, give the machine a static IP for a reliable connection so that the DHCP wouldn't change it's IP every time you restart your router.
Have you ever seen that printing is really slow? The copier only accepts print data at 1Mbps though it is set at 100Mbps. Our backbone is 1Gbps and all other printers accept data at their interface speeds. Tried different cables and such.
well, i noticed that generally not all printing orders are coming out of RICOH printers @ the same speed, it depends on what are you printing whether an HD images or a PDFs or word files etc .. always big e-books and word files are printed really fast and high res. images or high quality PDFs are too slow to be printed and could takes from 30 to 60 seconds per page !! but rarely when this happens ..
There might be an app for this from RICOH, but i never printed on it using my phone, only accessed the interface of the machine or downloaded some scanned files using the phone.

My Ricoh 3500 is not printing from the computer, it is setup on the network, drivers install, and when sending a test page it prints that, all other the action is canceled, when I go into the web interface Printer Job History I can see all the documents I sent to the printer and in stratus column states cancelled , and test page states print complete do you have any ideas how to fix this I can print wireless from my cell phone printer connected to the network via wire and computer connected on same hub and can be seen - test page printed with no issues Thanks
Henrique Losada, umm Honestly, i have never been through such an issue before, but have you tried to print on the same copier using a different laptop or PC since you are already printing seamlessly via your phone, so it must be something with your computer .. It could be a driver issue or IP conflict .. who knows, i can't help unless i were already in front of the copier since the possibilities are endless! but let's hope you solve this issue real soon :)
No there is not, just assign whatever IP that suits your IP category, so if your router IP is 192.168.1.1, choose 192.168.1.50 for your printer to be far from the DHCP and not have an IP conflict.

I don't scan to a folder, i scan and save to the copier and then access the PDFs via the web interface (typing the machine's IP address) and download them from the machine.
There are some apps for that on Google Play but i never used a high volume multi-function photocopiers or printers via the phone, i used to print at work via work's PCs.
This is due to the previous owner or admin who made the scanning feature not accessible without a PIN ... you would need to search for the admin password for your copier model to turn off security settings for it or contact the maintenance person or company that you bought the copier from to solve it.

+Alessandro Pul Good point bro, as long as you don't have the Interface setting button, it's more likely your copier doesn't have an interface board at all or it has been removed as well, or you do have an interface and all you need is to install the Printer SD Card that makes the copier support printing, at all cases you better call the maintenance person who and tell him to install an interface for you or an SD card to activate it if you already have it.

Hey Fadi, well, you can easily connect to the copier directly using a regular network cable, try a regular one 1st and if it didn't work, then your computer's network adapter is not full duplex, then you have to use cross cable, and you have to manually assign IPs for both computer & copier.

Fadi, um well, unfortunately, i left the field of printing solutions almost a year ago by now, so i don't have access to such a printing devices now days, but just check the video list on my channel under the name: Multi-function Copiers & you should be able to find smth helpful, The steps are almost similar, just assign IPs manually and you should be able to connect to it easily.
No, it doesn't connect wirelessly, i connected it via a LAN cable to the wireless router & this way any other device that is connecting wirelessly to the router will access the machine wireless as well.

Piotr Iwańczuk, Hey, unfortunately, i have never used any high volume machines via android phone or tablet, only the regular 3 in 1 deskjet printers which would have an app or smth to control and use it via the phone .. but i only use windows with these machines.
Reinstall it again and assign a static IP for it, don't let it get an IP through the DHCP cause each time you restart your router, it will get a new IP and it won't work this way. follow the steps on the video and you will be able to easily install it.
Well, that could be due to several reasons, could be a faulty Lan Cable or RJ or it happens when the cable moves or something .. just could be any of that, i can't quiet figure smth out while i'm not in front of the copier, still i hope what i mentioned above could help you :)

Hayder F, Hey bro, I'm glad it helped you, However all you need is to assign a static IP to the Copier so that each time you turn it off and on again or even turn off the router, it doesn't lose it's IP & takes a new one from the DHCP , so make sure you assign a static IP from the copier itself and that's about it :) ..
Hey nikolaosiatras, well, it's been a while since i needed the system passkeys, but usually I google: Default RICOH Copiers Admin Passwords stuff like that and you 'd find a table with the models and it's default passwords, but if any of them were changed by the previous user it could be a problem & you would need some technician to change the SD card from the main interface of the machine i suppose.

Hey hass zr, there are countless variants to consider when you are testing a multi-function copier, you have to make sure that it has the proper IP family 192.168.1 or 192.168.0 or 10.0.0 etc, you have to assign it manually and not via DHCP so that the machine doesn't keep changing it's IP, double check everything you do otherwise you can call your local copier service center whom you bought it from.

The only problem i could think of is that maybe your IP address that you have assigned to the machine isn't a static IP and it's dynamic so each time you restart the router or the machine, it may take a new IP which makes connecting it based on IP via the network is useless. so make sure you have assigned a static IP that is always the same. other than this, you better contact your local IT or maintenance.
By 3 ways, Share the printer via your PC, Let the guest connect to your wifi and go to add a printer from their PC and follow the same steps of adding the printer or let them connect directly to the printer via a USB cable.

I showed that on the video above. All you need to do is to click on change and assign a static IP for the machine that you can use it later to identify it on the network.

Because there is an admin protection on it, it would be either a previous user of the machine or a current user in case it's in a company and so on, so you need to contact your supplier for that matter to make a hard rest for permissions or so.

If the machine gives you a SC or service code, you better call the provider who have brought the machine or the maintenance company if there were any.

+Alessandro Pul Good point bro, as long as you don't have the Interface setting button, it's more likely your copier doesn't have an interface board at all or it has been removed as well, or you do have an interface and all you need is to install the Printer SD Card that makes the copier support printing, at all cases you better call the maintenance person who and tell him to install an interface for you or an SD card to activate it if you already have it.

Hey Fadi, well, you can easily connect to the copier directly using a regular network cable, try a regular one 1st and if it didn't work, then your computer's network adapter is not full duplex, then you have to use cross cable, and you have to manually assign IPs for both computer & copier.

Fadi, um well, unfortunately, i left the field of printing solutions almost a year ago by now, so i don't have access to such a printing devices now days, but just check the video list on my channel under the name: Multi-function Copiers & you should be able to find smth helpful, The steps are almost similar, just assign IPs manually and you should be able to connect to it easily.

No, it doesn't connect wirelessly, i connected it via a LAN cable to the wireless router & this way any other device that is connecting wirelessly to the router will access the machine wireless as well.

Reinstall it again and assign a static IP for it, don't let it get an IP through the DHCP cause each time you restart your router, it will get a new IP and it won't work this way. follow the steps on the video and you will be able to easily install it.

Well, that could be due to several reasons, could be a faulty Lan Cable or RJ or it happens when the cable moves or something .. just could be any of that, i can't quiet figure smth out while i'm not in front of the copier, still i hope what i mentioned above could help you :)

Hayder F, Hey bro, I'm glad it helped you, However all you need is to assign a static IP to the Copier so that each time you turn it off and on again or even turn off the router, it doesn't lose it's IP & takes a new one from the DHCP , so make sure you assign a static IP from the copier itself and that's about it :) ..

Hey nikolaosiatras, well, it's been a while since i needed the system passkeys, but usually I google: Default RICOH Copiers Admin Passwords stuff like that and you 'd find a table with the models and it's default passwords, but if any of them were changed by the previous user it could be a problem & you would need some technician to change the SD card from the main interface of the machine i suppose.

Hey hass zr, there are countless variants to consider when you are testing a multi-function copier, you have to make sure that it has the proper IP family 192.168.1 or 192.168.0 or 10.0.0 etc, you have to assign it manually and not via DHCP so that the machine doesn't keep changing it's IP, double check everything you do otherwise you can call your local copier service center whom you bought it from.

Hillo Sir, I am using win 10, 32 bit I tried to connect my pc to Richo Aficeo mp5001 machine through ip address, 1st time connected easily through PCL6 Universal driver, but next when i tried to print machine not giving any response, my cable and net work setting as per ur video correct, but when again install driver massage received no device connected. I tried many option to connect machine to pc but fail. my lan cable is also working no issue in cable. Sir help me. thank u
The only problem i could think of is that maybe your IP address that you have assigned to the machine isn't a static IP and it's dynamic so each time you restart the router or the machine, it may take a new IP which makes connecting it based on IP via the network is useless. so make sure you have assigned a static IP that is always the same. other than this, you better contact your local IT or maintenance.

By 3 ways, Share the printer via your PC, Let the guest connect to your wifi and go to add a printer from their PC and follow the same steps of adding the printer or let them connect directly to the printer via a USB cable.

Because there is an admin protection on it, it would be either a previous user of the machine or a current user in case it's in a company and so on, so you need to contact your supplier for that matter to make a hard rest for permissions or so.
