Visiting a shrine to anti-science, I see. I wish homeschooling was more regulated so that we could ensure parents aren't taking advantage of their children to push a political and religious agenda. Teaching creation is educational neglect.

I just found your channel and after seeing this video, I love you even more! When the video started, my thinking was...I’m so glad they’re getting out and enjoying life without living in fear and then when you talked about supporting that restaurant that’s staying open, I almost cried! I have family that lives in Kentucky and they are in the same mindset. Thank you for sharing and living your truth!

Have to get on here and post about this! Thank you, thank you for sharing in the video about the Hudson Taylor exhibit at The Ark! My family and I are visiting The Ark and Creation Museum in March. After watching your video about your trip to The Ark Encounter I bought the Christian Heroes: Hudson Taylor book to read before our travels. We are reading the last chapter of the book today and have all loved learning about Hudson Taylor each day during our morning basket! I can't wait to visit The Ark and have the exhibit bring it all back full circle to reinforce what we have read about him.

We have never made it that far, but I’d love to do a trip and have that resource to use. We have the same sized family so it would be very helpful! Lol
It's January 22 and I'm in California...our local zoo isn't even open😒 hasn't been for weeks. You are fortunate to get such an outing, so awesome!

We went last August 2020 and it was our first field trip of the school year! We loved it but our kids were really not interested as they were little (5, 3, and 2 Months) and very tired from a 13 hour drove the day before. We would love to go back when they are older. Anyway it was soooo amazing!!
Went to the ark a couple years ago. Found a few places where it contradicts itself. One was on the shuttle from the parking lot to the ark. The guy says the earth is like 6,000 years old. But then a few seconds later says that the trees used to make the ark exhibit is like few hundred thousand years old.....

We’ve been wanting to make this trip for a while. Christmas time looks like the perfect time to visit!
So exciting!!! We're really want to go the ark and creation museum. We'll have to do it in the spring time when my husband is slower at work. Then we'll rent a large rv to stay in instead of getting a hotel.
We went there last year in October. We loved it!!! Definitely want to go again. There playground at the ark is great .

Isn’t the Ark awesome?! We were there about 6 weeks ago and loved it! I would’ve had a total fan girl moment if I’d seen y’all there!! We didn’t do the zoo or zip line because it was super cold and rainy. Glad you had great weather!

Catching up on many of my fav homeschooling RUclipsr videos and just wanted to say that my 7 year old son and I watched this together and we both LOVED IT. He's asking if we can save money so we can visit the for a homeschool field trip ❤️😊 I've wanted to go visit for so long. Looks like a really neat place!
We have not gone to the Ark/Creation museum but we have used Answers resources since I heard Ken Ham at a homeschool convention years ago. Do you feel that the way science is presented in TGAB curriculum aligns with the young earth 7 literal day creation?

Hello Tammy, I know it's weird reaching out to you as a stranger, but thought it was worth a try. My family and I were planning on visiting both locations - The Ark & Creation museum this week, leaving Vermont on Wednesday, and hopefully leaving on Saturday and was wondering if you could host us or if you rent out your house like an air n b. I know I sound crazy, but thought I'd try. We're kind of on a low budget but wanted a special treat for us and our 3 kids. Any recommendations would also be great as we don't know anything about Kentucky/the area! We can also dm each other since this is a public forum. Thanks!!! Ps. We are moving to KY in the next few months & the ark encounter is on our list of top things to see! Can’t wait. I was wondering how much of your vacation you count as a field trip? This is my first year homeschooling and maybe I’m overthinking it, but we took a beach vacation in August & I’m not sure if I should count the entire trip or just certain days. Would love to hear your thoughts!

ASHLEE!!! My husband grew up across the street from Henry Clay's estate! My husband and I had an outdoor wedding there in the back part 26 years ago! In April the whole back part is covered with little white flowers! So beautiful. We also had a white horse and carriage!

Looks like for the most part, you had the park to yourselves. Perfect vacation! Glad you guys didn't wear any masks during any of your filming!!!! Interesting part was the Cave of Sorrows: minute mark 35:48. You can see the World Trade Towers. When you know that it was done by our own government, you can truly believe that this world is wicked!! It was great of you to support the restaurants during this bologna. Things are going to get worse! Stay safe and DON"T TAKE THE VACCINE!! All the best to you and your family!!

I love this so much. Thanks for sharing with us. I'm so sick of the state of things lately and this gives me hope that 2021 will be the beginning of better times. It's so refreshing seeing people living normally. I'm in Georgia and, although there is no state mandate on masks, it's very difficult living among people who base their lives on fear and trusting the government.
I am a geologist by trade and I agree...science proves God. I can give so many examples of geologic events that prove His existence.
If you ever want to make a trip to Georgia, my girls and I would love to host your family so you're not stuck in a hotel room. We are part of a phenomenal local homeschool group that meets twice a week for fun outdoor activities. There is so much to do here away from Atlanta that is both fun and educational. We have the Little Grand Canyon, Helen Georgia and it's little Bavarian style village, Chattanooga Tn, and so many other fun outdoor things within a couple of hours any direction.

Bonus hotel stay advice: if they ask you to sign up for their point program and you haven't already then ask for a room upgrade for signing up (they do this, coming from the inside 😉😉) and if they have the room they will upgrade you to a suit for the same price... it doesn't cost a thing, keeps your past present and future trips all together on their app and your "points" can be used for free or cheaper nights in the future at any IHG location 😁
Disclaimer: with this brand, Holiday Inn Express is where its at! Do not confuse with their "club vacation membership" hotel and resorts. I would never ever (and I mean EVER) recommend becoming a Holiday Inn Club Vacation Member, that would be bad advice, just putting that out there 😳

We used to travel a lot before kids and my youngest was just starting to become easier to travel with/stay overnight when this all ramped up. I want to take my kids places like Disney and others but not if we have to be masked the whole time! That is really the only thing that bugs me about all this COVID stuff is feeling stuck. We're in Maine and it's very restrictive here. Going to hibernate for the winter and go from there I guess. Thanks for sharing this trip though, gives me hope that there might be some places left where we could have a normal family trip :)

Wow Ashlee😊, this is really awesome! I am inspired by the ark museum. Thank you for sharing. I work for the New Room in Bristol, England. It is the first Methodist chapel built by John Wesley. It houses a museum, a cafe and the chapel. Susannah Wesley homeschooled her children😊. Come visit if you come to England.
