Excellent If we have HV Generator parallel with Transformer by ZigZag ground transformer. How will connect them and how discover Earth fault in bus? Thank you
Very nice video on the explanation of Generator and earthing of Generators. Just a question why only one Generator neutral earthing connection to be done in the group of generators is connected parallelly.
Df/dt protection is mostly given for grid connecting lines. It actually measures the rate of frequency change.it is not the under frequency or over frequency relay, but it measures the rate of increasing or decreasing the frequency.
Great lecture , thanks a lot , but don’t you think that in generation power plant transformer is star grounded /delta instead of delta/star grounded which you have shown ?
ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGY and INDUSTRIAL PRACTICE sorry , I can’t understand . I am just saying that in generation side transformer is star /delta and you have shown delta /star in unit generator trafi configuration
The transformer is star delta. Generator transformer are step up transformer. Star side is 400 kV. And delta side is 21 kv. So transformer is star deta
Only one nuetral is earthed to limit the fault curent. Since all the generators are parallel, only one earthed neutral will serve the purpose of neutral earthing.
well.... Neutral connection to ground of LV generators depends on the Earthing system, so you wont always have a solidly connected N to G. If you have a TT system this is NOT the case. And depending on the type of TN system it also changes.
agree... but i mentioned it is a general Practice. and as per my knowledge TT, TN these earthing systems are specified in British standard, which is not very similar with IEC or IEEE or IS. but yes practice differs. for example as per indian electricity rule 415V DG if used in mines shall be NGR earthed with earth fault current limited to 750mA.
This is exactly what you need in TT system solidly u will ground generator star point, unless if u have IT system then you don't need to ground at the source
Very clear explanation
I appreciate the description ! It is helpful to our fresh engineers !
Hi,thank you for your video it is helping me a lot in getting into the core and basics of protection systems.....
Please add eng sub, thanks, very good video!
Very good
Sir can u explain generator configuration in IPP power plant and generator earting transformer function there
Excellent

Fantastic bhai
Nice video sir...please make videos on earthing system in practice in details

Sir why steam turbine rotates in anti clockwise direction. is there any logic related to alternator, pls tell me
Thanks

What is Generator df/dt protection. Please one video about this protection.. Sir

@@electricaltechnologyandind5335 sir setting value of df/dt...?
I have to check. I will make video on that. Remember relays in general do not have any specific setting values.it depends upon the system

The transformer kis star delta trafo. The nomenclature is done as hv/lv. Not primary/secondary

Neutral wire melt hone kya karn ho sakta hai
Earth fault, inadequate conductor size, inaccurate relay settings
Why parallel operation of 5 generator only one generator neutral point is grounding please briefly rectify...
Only one nuetral is earthed to limit the fault curent. Since all the generators are parallel, only one earthed neutral will serve the purpose of neutral earthing.

okay I will check that.... thanks for sharing your thoughts. this is how knowledge enhance.
