  • This video explains the calibration mode on the KATOOL KT-B760 wheel balancer. This calibration instruction is also helpful for all three models of wheel balancers sold by KATOOL. Remember to press and hold the F button then press and hold the C button, to enter the calibration mode. Thanks for watching!
    KATOOL Wheel Balancer Calibration
    1.Mount wheel/tire to machine and enter A value and D value with pull ruler.
    2.Enter the B value.
    3.Hold down the F button then C button, and display should read "CAL CAL" on both readout screens.
    4.Press the start button. After the tire spins, the outside shows 100 or 3.50, find the outside point, and place 100g (3.5 oz) lead weight directly above 12 o’ clock position.
    5.Press the start button. After the tire spins, the inside side will show 100 or 3.50, take off the 100g (3.5 oz) lead weight on the outside.
    6.Find the inside point and place 100g (3.5 oz) of lead directly above 12 o’ clock on inside, and press the start button.
    7.The display should read "CAL END" on both sides.
    8.Calibration is now complete.
    * A = Distance of machine to wheel. (pull ruler)
    B = Width of wheel (measured with rim width caliper)
    D = Diameter of wheel
    *Calibration best achieved with 14",15" or 16" steel or aluminum

    Is there any way you can make a video of this balancer with the motorcycle adapter.. i have this balancer but can not find any info with th motorcycle tire adaptor

      There is a video on the Katool account. The adapters are pretty universal and if you can’t find it, you can also just search it up on RUclips here. Just make sure you’re in the STIC 2?setting when balancing motorcycle wheels.

      @@Toolchoice26 Ok that's really weird. Thanks

      I could only assume it's because the start button gets worn out before all the others, so they give you a back up for when/if the one you usually use fails.

    So the calibration wheel does not need to be previously balanced?

    • @Toolchoice26
      @Toolchoice26  6 месяцев назад

      No, just a straight wheel and a good tire.

      i think the calibration should be done with just a steel wheel / no tire you are calibrating to an unbalanced tire the way you show

    Why can't the kids in tiger cages making these balancers add a dedicated weighted calibration pin like the big boys. I just don't trust a random wheel and tire combo for really accurate calibration.
    I was hoping this balancer was different than the mayflower in that regard. I've had to recalibrate the mayflower too many times because it will start chasing weights.
    Guess I'm going to bite the bullet and get a good coats balancer. The chinese tire machines are a great value, but the balancers are not up to par.

    whats the difference between the 760 and 750 balancer?

    • @Toolchoice26
      @Toolchoice26  8 месяцев назад

      No different except the 750 comes with the wheel guard and the top is designed a little differently.

      @PNX.RSG26 and the 750 can be used without the wheel guard right?

      I believe you can, yes

      @@Toolchoice26 do any of those 2 balancers have a brake

    • @Toolchoice26

      They have an automatic braking feature but they do not have a separate manual brake.

    I thought this machine was self calibrating?

    • @Toolchoice26
      @Toolchoice26  8 месяцев назад

      You only need to calibrate the machine if you replace a part inside or if you're getting strange readings. Otherwise the machine is calibrated and ready to use from the factory.
