I’m starting to believe the rumors that Mattel is acting as a ‘reseller.’ They charge for membership, providing no value in return, while they profit. Then, they purchase their own products (technically with your money, so you’re essentially paying for them), pay the corresponding taxes, and subsequently resell those same products ‘under the table’ at a higher price, tax-free, to other resellers. These resellers then sell the products again at an even higher, and quite frankly, ridiculous price!
This whole situation is just disgusting

The membership don’t guarantee you to get the product… I had experienced that before with Barbie 😅.

Im not going to re join fang club next time. I dont see the benefit. There is like zero chance of getting a popular doll and there is always some kind of problem when trying to buy from the site. I didnt get a adams family set because of the verification and it sold out so fast.
Oh let me add, the day before i had a similar problem with the payment not "running" and the glitching, getting the ken couture on its early release and mattel was very quick to tell me how to buy the ken and they were going to try to fix it before the Adam's family release. While they were very quick to assist me and very nice, the early member experience is tramatizing and full of disappointment each time. So im giving up on those collector dolls. I am an OG collector and after numerous fails, its just not worth it to me anymore. Yall have fun in the dolly blood baths!

@PeachYReviews19 they really are cash grabs. At some point, the fake "limited " amounts to hype up the buyer is going to completely turn ppl off from buying these beautiful dolls. Im done. Most of my collector friends gave up a while back. We buy what's on shelf and look at other doll lines. I will continue to watch your videos to support you and so I can enjoy the dolls from afar.

This was the worst launch Ever! I am so angry! I made sure i was ready to go and as soon as it launched they made me jump through hoops with these stupid bot things i had never seen before but i still got through that pretty fast and i was in a less than one minute wait time to check out and then it said sold out. Then later on they sent me an email to finish checking out. Like a cruel joke there was nothing in my cart and sold out! WTF Mattel? I am so disgusted with the whole thing! What is the sense in paying for a membership if you can't even get the dolls you want? I am beyond upset! Thanks for the video ❤
The fact that the Character is Named Phoenix is very fitting as Phoenix's in both Egyptian and Greek Mythology are Symbols of Rebirth and Transition from One Gender to Another Is a Form Of Rebirth not just as a Name but an Entirely new and different person from your past self. I'm not Trans by Any means but Liked that they did that and plus I always thought that a Phoenix would be a Good Symbol for Trans people.
Honestly what is wrong with Mattel, it took me 2 minutes to get passed that capcha then I was in the queue to pay them the screen of Sold out. Not 3 minutes had passed. What was the point in joining and paying the extra 10 bucks for one doll, but in ebay there's people selling multiple one how's that even possible.
The people listing them on ebay arent guaranteed. Most of the listings say theres no guarantee, and its all preorder on there until after launch tomorrow. I got my dolls but a lot of people who always complain about resellers dont really know how reselling works.

Like the release dates don't match up for playline but thet sure have the spendy ones with only a week notice like whats the deal mattel 😅 I did manage to get the addams dolls but what a mess and spending extra on a fang club for early access sucks in general. They also advertised these on news articles ect so not surprised it's sucks so much to get one. They should plan better since even non doll collectors want these. I'm also mad they don't have any sign of the draculaura rv thing for the rest of the fest dolls. 😢

@PeachYReviews19 hope so have had catty noir and the core cleo on order with Amazon for about 3 weeks now still saying temp out of stock. Least walmart has the main fest girls and the frank and lagoona core dolls in stock at most now or online if anyone is still looking. Just be nice if it wasn't so cut throat to get a doll it's suppose to be fun!!!

I got fang club membership for the creature of the black lagoon, which i got on the fang member window! And i wanted the wednesday set to, and guess what, i got it to! The captcha was a little stressing but putting in all the creditcard info was hard aswell!
mine went on presale 3 minutes early and it kicked me today. when I brought it up on reddit I got dogpiled, because people are telling me that I’m wrong and it’s my fault I missed it but I’m not the only one who seems to have had this issue. I was updating every 2 seconds for 5 minutes so idk how my clock was wrong- and they also just got done cancelling a bunch of oversold creature orders. it’s beyond unprofessional, and with the attitude of “well I got it so clearly you did something wrong” is exactly what gives them the excuse to continue these shitty business practices.
They better not cancel my Addams Family ISTG I will freak out on them
You asked, so I absolutely have to answer how this went down. I will preference it by saying…I live out in the country. I have terrible Wi-Fi and really wanted the Annabelle doll so for that drop I knew my son is super quick with his fingers… didn’t get the doll swore I would never go through that again
I have had four family members pass away in the last two months one of which was my mom‘s sister who was like a second mom to me after my mom had passed away. I had been getting crazy angel messages, or what you would call numbers I guess for days. 222 11:11 etc.
Growing up I remember watching Addams family in black-and-white and my mom would giggle over cousin it. It brings back such fond memories. I also was kind of creeped out at the time cause i was little. I got to enjoy the movies in the 90s growing up. I didn’t even know about the animation. I just thought the dolls are gorgeous.
I am a Barbie Club member and was thinking of buying the MH membership for the drop. Well I got too excited stayed up way too late and slept through my alarm so I thought there’s no way in hell this is ever going to happen. I knew they were being released to the general public today but of course I couldn’t sleep again! I stayed up all night and am still up from last night. I pulled an oracle card last night that told me to stop stressing about it.
So with no sleep in me right before the drop and my husband had to go to work I made him drive me into town to the McDonald’s where I know they had good Wi-Fi. I was thinking maybe I needed him to read off the card numbers because other people have said some tips on Reddit that it didn’t matter if you had stuff saved that you’d have to punch in, so I really didn’t know and I didn’t know where to even hold my finger for the drop button.
So I told my husband we should both try at the same time. He held his finger directly over the timer countdown on his phone me on mine. I feel like I fumbled my first click did not stick so when we got in the queue, I was two minutes behind him! even though it was only a couple seconds of clicking. I saw that he was starting to fill out his payment information, and I was still trying to get into the cart. Then he started yelling that the card was declined. He was trying to use my bank card and I was trying to use the credit card because sometimes if you’re buying things from another country my credit card has flagged that it’s fraudulent and I didn’t want that to happen. So his gets declined and then my credit card starts getting declined on mine. But he stuck in with it and it let him change the payment info.
The captcha wtf? insane! Mine asked what things do you give water to to live? And there were a couple of pictures with flowers. But there were also some weird jars and because it was kind of grainy and strange I couldn’t even make up with those words, so I’m assuming it was seeds in the jars. So I had to go through the captcha twice and so did he. At this point I pretty sure I blacked out when he said his went through. I then looked at the clock at 11:11 and was balling.
I had a terrible year with my husband to say that least. Like he has dropped the ball for the last decade, so this was really amazing on his part even though he had to make a little bit of a stupid comment on the ride home, but then I got home and found your video, and guess what? The time on the video?! 11:11 😭
I’ve been an emotional mess because the only reason I feel like I got the dolls was because my mom and aunt and grandmas on the other side and some really damn good luck and a supportive husband in that moment.
I love the look on Wednesday’s face though, because I have a teenage daughter, and that’s the face. She gives me all the time! It really was the best Mother’s Day present ever.
I remember when she was just a little girl when the first wave hit and how different things are now. I also remember being trampled in Kmart by Krazy mom‘s as a kid on Black Friday in the 80s so times just changed so fast but Mattel is just a freaking shit show and I feel so sorry to each and every person that didn’t get one of the dolls that they wanted it is really unfortunate. I understand that limited runs yes but like really, it was a miracle. I even ended up with one and I will cherish or till the day I die. Like someone else mentioned on here they know who we are we checked out on their website before maybe they need to start sending something in the mail to the members with a limited household verification #. .. for the doll. But the would imply Mattel cared. 😤
I won’t be putting my body through a drop like this again and am so grateful for the two I have. But I seriously cried out so many emotions over the last two days. As my husband always says “there’s no crying in Dolls“ I tend to disagree.
One of the bot doll theives doesn’t want to ever meet me in an alley. I’ll rage for all of us!!
Moral of the story: appreciate your loved ones, your health, park at a McDonald’s aka free reliable WiFi before drop and bring another someone with a phone. The rest isn’t in our hands 🤷🏻♀️
If Mattel drops my order, all I’ll be doing is leaving an edit with a 🪦 while I cry

I have been able to get them on general releases rather than fang vote. I got 3 for me my sister and one ill take out the box ❤. The fang club early access never lets me get one lol
You weren't able to check out using ur laptop. I tested a few hours before by buying the fang club operetta and it said "cannot ship to this address". I switched to mobile and I ended up getting myself the dolls on the dot without any delays.
When will Mattel learn that if they want a successful launch that people are happy with they need to make a larger quantity of it

There isnt really that much mattel can do to make things easier. The only thing they could do is release them all only to fang club members. And then people will complain that they are trying to get ur money by making you buy a membership and a ton more people will pay the membership to get them. I understand why people are upset they arent able to get them but thats the reason they are so good is because they arent over produced. I was able to get the creature from the black lagoon on the regular release ( missed it on early access) and the adams family ones today. So excited.
Skulltimate secrets s4: yeah, it's a problem. With the lockers you could put anything in all the doors. But with this new setup, the main compartment for the doll can ONLY hold a doll. So it makes the new setup worse than the lockers. I had hoped it'd just be another door but this gimmick makes the plastic box situation worse.
Monsteristas Cleo: she's cute, but none of the monsteristas are available in the US so it's super hard to get
Phoenix: looks cool already, the problem with them hyping up characters in the show is that I don't care if they don't get a doll. Thus far we don't have dolls of skelly vonderbone or the pumpkin head dj, so I doubt this character will

Addams family: the captcha was a mess so I didn't even get to line until I had done it twice. Then it naturally sold out in line during the fang club drop. For the public release I still had the captcha issue (but worse) yet I still got them. Honestly they clearly allocate very little for the club just to create the illusion of value for the club
Sadly, I wasn't able to get one. It was all of the above: I had to do the stupid captcha twice, my connection was slower than usual, the site was clogged with traffic, and I was so close to getting one, but then it said sold out when I finished at the checkout.

I think they only restock flenty not that much monster high dolls. Like they only restock 100 pieces in there online website. Just to have a fake record that they " Sold out " in 3 minutes.
This is just like Mattel ways just to hype up all the collectors more to pay more expensive just for a piece of plastic doll.
I don't even see worth it piece 👎🏻. All I can see Mattel just milking us some money for unworthy doll.
