To get an impression what a milestone this lap is: This car has beaten the 30 year (!!) old lap record by over 50 seconds... (not 1 or 2 seconds...) Average speed on the lap was around 234 km/h. Just fucking insane... The car even has beaten lap records of F1 cars on other tracks.
But you have to say the round of Bellof was while a race and this car has no regulation like a normal race car. I watched this round like a hundred times and still gives me goosebumps !
There is a top speed limitation for the tyres on this track (hardly no car gets a certificate for more than 370 especially the straight at the end), so the car could have done 370+.
Now, it s even much more impressive if you know that there is a small two - liter V4 combustion engine in tha back of this car... producing " more than 500hp" ...

And a Ferrari Formula one beat this time by almost 20 seconds and broke the 5 minute mark .

Timo Bernhard drives 16 miles with 73 curves (33 left, 40 right) in a Lap time of 5:19.546 min. I know people who need longer to park their car.
