      @@OffDaLip came to comment on the drone. So impressive how you got those angles from the front and side. Shows so much difficulty the surfer experiences. How you managed to get those lines I don't know. This footage is leaps above what I have seen for other long waves like Kirra etc, where the drone makes the wave look smaller and flatter. Thank you.

    Paddled out there in 1986 on a day just like this. Looked around and saw Martin Potter, Shawn Thompson, Hanes Hedeman, Cheyenne Horan, a few other gnarly guys and felt like I made it . Only thing , I wasn’t even close !!! But fun and great memories

    Sooo much current around the outside, and if your not getting sucked in to the wave on the take off, your not catching many at all. Great film captured here, scene.🤜🏼🤛🏼

      I never asked but I assumed that I can't. Anything WSL is pretty strict. Maybe for the Semis/Finals I'll try see if i can

    Boys need to start riding bigger boards in surf like this. I don't mean step ups necessarily, high performance fish or mid lengths eat up chunkier waves.

      @OffDaLip maybe 6-8 from the back but a lot of those waves were double overhead + from the front wave faces.
