I’m having some problems with it. I’ve tried RC 3,2,1 beta 12,11,10,9,8 and they all say either “failed to send abort” (on RC versions) or they get stuck (On the betas) or they say failed to restore iPhone because it shows the white Apple logo but no loading bar underneath then it fails (on betas aswell) What should I do now?

n1ghtshade is tethered, so you’ll need to run it again after you reboot. So don’t try using n1ghtshade on your main device!

@@WilliamsTech That stinks. Does the dev of N1ghtshade plan on working until he can create a fully untethered boot? At least tethered jailbreaks can still boot into an unjailbroken state but with this you can't really "boot" on your own at all.
@@junkaccount2535 2 years late, but its impossible considering the actual exploit its based on (checkm8) is a tethered exploit.

1. Could be a modem firmware incompatibility. Did you try to erase and restore the settings in iPhone? See if that helps.
2. That's because this method is tethered boot ,meaning you need a PC /ac to boot your iPhone if you turn off the devise.

How do I jailbreak a tethered downgrade so I can get around activation lock?
You really cannot bypass activation lock, I downgraded an activation locked iPhone 4 to iOS 4 and iTunes said that it was locked to an Apple ID. It works not on the iOS side, but on the server side when you have to activate an iPhone.
John Alexander I did the same thing and then used Redsn0w to hacktivate. It doesn’t remove the Apple ID, but it DOES bypass the activation screen.
