Anybody that knows anything about Japanese ladies wrestling, knows these ladies were the measuring stick for the rest. These matches may have been scripted, but the physicality and brutality were all real. I’d like to see any of these New Age wrestlers do some of the things Manami Toyota did as far as the highflying goes. Mima was not a real high flyer, but she was very athletic, and the crowd loved her. I think she was so beautiful and had great legs. Manami Toyota is the most beautiful of all the though.

imo I love this era of Japanese women's wrestling. Great + hardcore work ethic = outstanding matches. There are women in U.S. wrestling today who have the talent/ability to perform this way but WWE/Impact/whoever either don't know how to or don't want to book like this. Our loss. Except that we can watch it here. imo

From 1970 to 2005 her title belt (WWWA "Red Belt" Championship) changed hands between the best japanese wrestlers. It's Moolah's fault not an American fault. Since Moolah ruined the U.S Female Wrestling.

Regardless of Moolah, or any other single person, women's wrestling in the US could be as good to watch as any other-regardless of nationality or era-if WWE and other promotions would allow it. Your historical point may or may not be true. I neither know nor care. Frankly, I'm not all that hyped on the current men's style favored here in the US either. I've seen much better here in the US during my 60 years as a fan. The fault, imo, is in the switch to sports entertainment and opposed to wrestling. That's imo, of course.
really awesome, those artificial crowd noises are really annoying though; it would be cool to know what the conditions of the fights were, how people there reacted. other than that, so ahead of its time.

序盤は、豊田選手には珍しく、ラスカチョーラスの下田選手に対して、今までの借りを返さんとばかりにラフ気味に試合を運んでましたが、中盤辺りから一進一退の攻防が見応えありました。
それにしても、悪役の下田選手への声援の方が大きかったのも意外でした。
女子プロのモットーとして、「清く正しく美しく」があるのに、ヒールを全面に打ち出してるラスカチョーラスの下田選手は、シングルでは普通の試合運びが出来るんだと、当時は新鮮に観てたのを思い出しました。
両選手とも凄い！
これこそプロレスの醍醐味って感じで見応え有りました。
