Love Pappy, Sounds like he's got some doubts about some folks in the current list, probably not something to voice publicly, but I'd say that's more him being transparent about how he sees things versus being malicious about it. The Storm are a great side, I think every Storm fan should be confident that he is extremely appreciative of everything the club have done for him, it just sounds like he's not feeling the current crop are capable, which again is a bit strange given the Storm making the GF this year, and they haven't been that bad prior, but if he's lacking confidence in the team, some of his comments would suggest he may feel some teammates aren't at his perceived level to be premiers, or he's simply just not feeling like he can win at the Storm. As a Storm supporter, injuries aside I think Pappy has been a great asset for the team, and it'd be a shame to lose him for whatever reason that may be. For me this has a Daniel Ricciardo leaving Red Bull feel about it, at the end of the day he should chose what works best for him.
Why would he mention other players leaving the storm as a factor in his decision? I mean you can consider it, but why make it public? Gives off an air of disloyalty/ungratefulness to the Storm, who have done so much for him. Ah well
Paps I can see in a Dogs jersey 💯%. He grew up supporting the Dogs and he and young upcoming superstar halfback Mitchell Woods will complete the puzzle in 2026.

He's re-signed for another season.
