- Hey I'm Luke and I'm Turning my Tiny Van (Fiat Doblo) into the Ultimate Adventure Camper / Mobile Workshop for a huge Road Trip to the North Cape :)
📋 Today's TODO List: In this first episode of a huge series, I’ll show you around the van and then completely gut and strip it. This includes removing the metal bulkhead, including some nifty security screws, taking out the built-in aluminum Sortimo shelving, removing the aluminum wall paneling, and ripping out the glued-in wooden cargo floor and the riveted wheelhouse covers.

Ever since I can remember, I've dreamt of building my own camper van. Today, I'm excited to start converting my 2013 Fiat Doblo Maxi with a 1.4-liter Natural Power engine (runs on petrol and CNG!) into the ultimate adventure van to travel to the North Cape to see the northern lights.
Join me as I build my dream adventure camper, transforming my 2013 Fiat Doblo Maxi into the ultimate road trip van for exploring Europe and Switzerland!
🧐 Fun fact: If you think this Fiat Doblo looks familiar, it shares its platform with the Opel Combo, Vauxhall Combo, and Ram ProMaster City!

Hi. Looking at getting one of these Doblos to turn into a camper. Is this the maxi version/ LWB??
Thanks
@@krisorr6683 Hi Kris! Awesome to hear!! It's the LWB version. The short one only is about 180cm in the back (vs 210cm) which would be really cramped up... let me know how it goes✌🏼
@@lukestoolboxthanks for the reply. Yes. This is the one I’m looking at. Just worried about head height also.
Brilliant videos. Will be following along
@krisorr6683 yeah head height is a bit tricky. if you want a van where you can sit up comfortably in the back without having to give up too much cargo space, you should go for the high roof version... I just liked this one since you can park in all underground parkings, and if you really have to sit inside since it's raining or whatever you have two perfectly good seats in the front. but lots of trade offs with building out a tiny van🙃 btw little trick to see if it's SWB or LWB: the sliding door track/rail ends right at the back of the van for the SWB version, whereas on the LWB there's about 30cm left between track & trunk
Nice legs 🤩
