Ridiculous. Most people don’t even make $3700 per month.
In Santa Clara county they sure do
Software engineers make at least $15,000/mo so $3,700/mo for a crackerjack apartment is surely affordable!!!
I make over minimum wage now
That's cheap?
Its not just Bay area. All major cities across the nation are the same in Proportion to the income people make living in those cities.
Japan in the 80s had a economy crash from there country printing too much money without enough coming in, printing money only makes shit worse.
@@Anachronistkllrya no sh1t.
@@Anachronistkllrthat is called inflation. Say that next time.
Inflation is crazy, not just houses. Spending and printing money in Washington doesn’t help.
Is not inflation it's greed. Even with a 20% inflation it's still wouldn't be 3600 a month. It's supply and demand not enough homes. Bought my house back in 2005 for 91k now worth 250k according to zillow. That's not 20% inflation that's a 120% mark up.
Primary cause of inflation is corporate high profits. So think again. It's greed
Gee, rents down in Oakland. I wonder why???
Oakland is awesome one of the greatest cities on earth 🌎
@@kylesuperbaby9616 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😅😭😭😭
Too much crimes?
Plus living in a state that will soon tax the air you're breathing. It's that lame.
3700$ rent with Complimentary Residential and car burglaries free of charge 😂
So expensive that people renting are better off financing a house. Oh wait, you need to make 200k$ for a normal starter home. 😂😂
200k is the new 100k.
@@Baebon6259 and 300k$ is the new 200k$. Nice one bud...
LOL, only if you're bad with your money and spending...
Dudes that don’t got a job or working for 17$ an hour always have the biggest mouth 😂
starter home? you mean a 1 bedroom condo. lol
I just checked and the building I used to live in rincon hill/east cut went down from $7100/m to $6100/m so rents in that area seem to be getting better
I’m not surprised I’m lucky I got low income housing
Subsidize businesses leads to asset growth leads to homelessness.
A giant ponzi scheme.
Every house in San Francisco will get robbed at least once, but people still live here. Why? We have not idea where to go?
Nobody wants to get robbed in Oakland, and no one wants to live near drug addicts lying all over the streets in San Francisco, and everywhere else they forget that not everyone works in the tech industry. like other occupations and careers don't exist to help keep the city running and thriving. San Jose and the Bay Area have gotten greedy and have turned their back on the rest of its citizens no one should be fully employed and homeless... it is a sad state of affairs that is happening. that's fine then watch the prices get jacked up so high on your child care so its ten thousand dollars a month so the teachers can afford a place to live while they watch your children when you go to work ... sorry don't mean o rant but this issue is a growing concern.
The Bay area always too cool 😎 for everyone else. Gentrified Its self to death ☠️
👍🏿👍🏼👍
No thanks I'm out I'm not paying 11k a month in mortgage to have my home burglarized, or my business vandalized our looted, but good luck to those who stay I wish you all the best !
Where do you live?
@@VideoViewer33512basically he described ANYWHERE in California ! But, he forgot the annual property tax so, add an additional what, $30,000 ?
Even in modest neighborhoods a mortgage would be $5-$6,000 then add tax. Oh, you drive too ? Yeah, add tax to that car plus a weekly tax of $25-$35 in gas tax. Maybe more if you drive a pickup truck. Oh, you own a pickup truck ? Then pay $800 for that sticker on your license plate.
Voters in California are the dumbest people on the planet.
@@VideoViewer33512He lives in bumshart Nebrahoma and hasn't lived in SF this century.
😆 🤣 I lived in the South Bay Area for over 40 years, but it's not worth the time and $$$ to stay in the SF Bay Area
@@Praisethesunsonbecause he’s smarter than you. SF is a chithole, like all dem cities. Fact
MSN never mentions high crime…?
Do you mean how this is not a accident and it's something rich people planned to create prostitution in a city known for having the most attractive people in the world and gow no one will get in trouble for organizing forced prostitution cause cops fuck em too?
Crime made the rent prices go up? In Menlo Park and Mountain View? LOL are you joking?
The crime rate is going down significantly, quit beating that old dead horse
Where's nbc relocating? Not in SJ anymore?😮
The entire SF Bay Area is spiraling down the, well you know.
not our Veterans Hospital, its actually growing
@@quesadilla79???? Wtf
We all live in a yellow submarine
Rents will eventually crash
Rent price relects high property tax, home insurance, and repair cost, just like gas price and food price. Land lord has to eat too.
landlords make plenty of money to eat well they just get greedy and tax us renters when a little bit of a price increases on them we basically have to foot their bill and suffer
@@jcwick0859we found the low intellect dem voter
If Karen and Wilbur didnt save for retirement and now rely on price gouging renters because "thats what the market rate is" they can eat dirt for all I care, a lot of this greed isnt coming from private landlords anyways
Oakland is scary.
I love Oakland, great people great food you’re just a sissy
Cheaper to rent then buying
Overall, if you're reading this--yes--you have *NO* chance. None. I certainly do not. Which is why I'm SUPER hyper glad I'll be outta here by EOY 2026.
Bye bye
San Francisco and the Bay Area are expensive because it’s the greatest place on earth 🌍
remember, you'll need to earn 3x to even qualify for a rental dump.
that is $11,100 first month to even walk in the door. OFN
Oh, forgot PGE, internet. . .
I have rentals in the Bay Area and have to do 2x the rent in order to find a tenant, otherwise the place doesn't get rented out. We all are taking a risk of being renters/landlords.
Build more apartments
No way. NIMBY say NO
Remember Rent Moritorium ?
There was no Property Tax Moritorium .
Time to pay up B-Itches
over all everything is getting better , keep on Voting Blue #Biden/Harris/Newsom
Sleepy joe and kamoola😂
It’s not that hard to live within your means, smart choices and money management is key. Don’t go to college and get a useless degree, go into a Trade don’t buy a new car and save and you’ll be able to buy a home and live comfortably.
In Mississippi
Crime and schools guys…
Really expensive to move out here to find your tribe
Find your tribe? Only three tribes exist in the bay anymore. Techies, undocumented and criminals.
Ca passing 17 trillion dollar black reparations for those poor Oakland folk that are redlined ...

Keep voting for liberals !!! Look how great it is ! High rent, high gas, high homeless, horrible roads, high utilities, high taxes and for what ?
Yep. Instead vote for Republicans who vote for deregulations and no oversight which leads to all the things you mention. They have no answers either.
“Liberals” have nothing to do with it. Try educating yourself, so you don’t sound like a fool.
@@Me97202 “liberals” voted for these asses. “Liberals” voted to raise every tax, tool, and fee in this state. Try educating myself ? I live here. I guess, you’re one of those “liberals” ?

It wasn't like this 20 years ago. Rent was $1K for one bedroom apartment pre 2010 . It was considered expensive at the time but not that expensive. Back in the 1990s, renting a 3 bedroom apartment was about $1,000. I know that because that was when rents froze for my parents. I'm not sure if that is a thing nowadays.
California’s economic toxicity is peaking.
Make more money , spend more money on rent. Nothing new. Common sense.
So stop complaining
Common sense, not everyone makes more money there.
@@halos4179then move. You don’t have to live there and complain about it
100% agree with you bro ... People act like they have a RIGHT to live in the Bay (or LA, NYC) .... There are certain places on this planet where you MUST compete to live or else GTFO the way .... Paradise comes at a cost ... this is not a soup-kitchen or a charity haha. Life aint fair
Sounds like you can't handle having someone express an opinion different from yours! You are demeaning and disrespectful. @user-

A ton of homeless have also increased so I think they're fudging up the numbers which are probably not being used in the census. I know the people making the census for THEM have stopped counting them in both Socal and Nor Cal. They're just too much heads to count.
