- Thought Muse got some inspiration from Dr. Who on their single Uprising? So did I. This remix was done the same day the track was leaked.

I've always thought "Uprising" had a Dr. Who vibe to it....
i've heard they got an inspiration from the doctor who opening, but that was told to me by a random person online with no sources to back it up, so idk if it's really true
Well, where else could've they gotten the inspiration from? It sounds so much like Doctor Who!

I KNEW IT!!! I SAID THIS THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THE SONG!!! LOVE Both of the songs!!! I hadnt heard Doctor Who for a long time, so I couldnt figure out why it sounded familiar at first, but one day it just clicked. I can listen to both songs all day.

Since Lock n Load by Blow Ya Mind came out, I thought thatwould make a brtilliant mash-up with the doctor who theme. I don't have the know-how to do this, so I emplore you Erik, do it for me, for the fans!
I always thought that Muse should have written some music for the show, or be guest stars and have some of their space-y music play in the episode.

@ErikVeland a virgin mobile store. It may have not been it but it was muse uprising over the top of something similar to the timelords. When I got home I found this video again and was like hmm could have been it. Virgin mobile are quite weird so I wouldn't put it past them that someone found and used it as a song on their dab station.

Did anyone else notice that the two songs were mixed by the same guy? -> Mark "Spike" Stent . Way back in the day (before working with Muse), he mixed a lot of the classic KLF tracks.

The whole album is very Dr. Who oriented. In the 2nd Law, the drones repeat "Unsustainable". Sounds like Daleks say "Exterminate". :)
(uprising is not from the 2nd law, its from the resistance, i'm fairly sure)

Still, that theremin intro is epic and reminds me of the theme song to Dr. Who (season 11) and alien sci-fi sounds in general . Love it!!

I like the effort, but I have to agree with Backoffboogaloo, with a little more sampling and moving some of the songs around, you could get a killer remix.
As it is, I understand what this is, a comparison with both songs playing at the same time.

Yes inded, it was made the day Uprising was leaked (even before the official release). It could have been done way better if I had time to do so ;)

Nice mashup, but I don't quite understand the controversy some people are making about this? Isn't Doctor'n the Tardis itself just a mashup of Gary Glitter's Rock'n Roll with the Dr. Who theme?

The actual Doctor Who theme clashes terribly in this, it sounds like the Muse song on it's own and someone playing out of tune notes on a keyboard over the top of it

Oh this could be so much better.... All you neeed to do was adjust the pitch a little and sort the volume. They would fit together so nicely. Great idea but could be better.
