True story (Worker's Comp Case): I was injured at work employed as a government worker. The employer is self-insured. Prior to going to trial I just wanted $50K and be done with it. Fortunately, my lawyer was top shelf. She warned me that I had massive legal debt if I decided to go to trial and lost. She wanted to go to trial. She convinced me.
    SMARTEST DECISION OF MY LIFE
I won my case. My take after all the legal costs was low six figures. The best part? My lawyer won me a state pension. I now get a guaranteed pension of $5K+ a month...all thanks to my attorney (they get 15% of my pension but well worth it!).
My advice to any person with a worker's comp claim....lawyer up early.

Wyoming's charging order protection laws are effective for members to protect their LLC assets and ownership from creditors. However, that protection does not extend outside of Wyoming. Members living out of state will have to deal with different laws protecting their LLC assets from garnishment by creditors.

I’ve always known that wealthy people need to hide by getting their name off of stuff and also by living a moderate lifestyle, rather than a luxury lifestyle (with big cars, expensive homes, etc.). This is great information you’re sharing. I just subscribed, as I plan to create my wealth soon. I also shared this with a lot of people, one who really needs it. But like the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink. I know someone who is hidden and their life is great, which has inspired me to, when I create my wealth, to definitely hide it. Lots of people are ruled by pride, which I believe to be one of the most foolish and expensive character traits to have, flaunting their wealth and showing everyone their deep pockets, which is definitely inviting trouble. I love the idea of renting no matter how wealthy you are. You can even rent from your own hidden entity 😉. I also love the idea of being hired and paid (not too much) by your own entity. I also love the idea of people paying your hidden entity for goods and services, instead of you. I also love the idea of your hidden entity paying for a lot of your expenses, making them business expenses, versus personal. I’ll stop there. 😀

A lot of common sense as I like to call "optical illusions". *Whistles inconspicuously and saunters off
I am living my optical illusion....usually in my sleep. But still. I like to think my smart investments are liquidated yearly too!!! But again in those optical illusions I drink up like a camel....then I wake up. And then suddenly my dr÷arms are shattered. Crap, I cant win.....but I can keep pushing forward versus not try at all! I didnt go through 10 long years letting life pass me by after ending up wheelchair bound and partially paralyzed, just to reach a point in my now divorced life being tired of being passed like Im usually stationary-because I was!!! Key word-WAS!!! And my doctors said I'd never walk again!! Pshhh!! Brief intermission of a set back!! But, then, when you take about a 10yr hiatus from social mexia- you tend to return just to have it all cru.pl÷ from underneath ya and cannot seem to dig oneself out of the Hell called-My life!! All because you had this evil thing called Hope. That coincided with wanting to no longer live alone in that newly divorced life, think you found that perfect Unicorn when you return to social media. Just to learn the cruel way what things /hat exist online now called Hacking Romance Scamer of a Catfish P.OS. kind of Not Unicorn that left you in not financial freedom per say. But Financial Ruins!!! Right when you were trying to also start a 1st of adventures called a Start Up. A newborn baby business that you had a few grands but needing way more than that for a start upby trying to gain capital. But like I said, that now is the optical illusion but with now ruined credit, credibility, and thousands that was saved, are now lots of thousand of dollars in the negative called debt, hug÷ debt to income, and no chance in Hell of getting more financial backing to eventually obtain financial freedom. All now in one@ dream state bcuz conscious daydreaming isnt very friendly to even want to be......
Did I mention how lucky my existence is not that-ie Lucky!!!
But again, one did not work their butt off to get to regain the ability to walk again for nuffin. Even if it means having no ground to walk on!!!
Can someone knock me out, cuz I'd rather exist their and all those dreams that are fun bcuz they aren't yet dasbed!!!
Stay woke, ppl!! And kind. Cuz the cruelty in ones dreamstate has a term that may call them- NIGHTMARES !!!

Thank you for the great explanation! I am confused about taxes in these situations. Hypothetically, let's say I live in NH where there is no income tax, but there are corporate taxes. If I put rental property in a trust with an LLC as trustee, does the LLC owe taxes on the rent, or is it my personal income which is not taxed? Don't LLCs require certain ongoing actions to maintain state? I have heard that corporations do have such requirements. What are the advantages or disadvantages of an LLC vs. a lawyer as trustee? What happens when a lawyer/trustee retires.

Hi Mr. Mathis, I have had a Nevada S-corp for over 10 years and it has worked nicely for what I needed at the time. I live in FL and had to file a foreign corp here in this state which was fine; however, last fall I obtained my Mobile Home Broker's license. One of the requirements of the State of FL was that I personally needed to have my name on public record as an officer of the Scorp in order to obtain my license. Not 1 month later, I got slapped with a lawsuit from my prior broker because he was able to see my name on the public record. I have paid a lot of money annually to maintain my Nevada Corp, but what good is the original intention of protection by keeping my name off public record when the state I live in forces me to keep my name ON public record in order to obtain and maintain my broker's license? What's the point of bothering with the expense of the Nevada Corp when the entire point was to protect myself? What say you?

      Hi @@TobyMathis,
Thank you so much for all the time, energy, & knowledge you put into these videos. Not everyone can teach & be understood You can teach & be understood. I am very grateful for all your content. I have learned so much.
I have a questions I hope you can explain.
I will apologize for maybe I don't know how to ask for what I mean. I am praying you understand my questions.
let me give you the scenario.
She makes under 25k, but her soon to be husband has almost 3mil.
He has decided and she has accepted that she/ his wife will be in control of all money and assets and be the decision maker.
once they are married she will be in charge of the money, deciding where they live.
      with this ^^ in mind.
she follows your instruction. gets a LLC in WY, and sets up a living trust(?) in Nevada where she places their home and future assets.
      My question is;
Keeping in mind, realistically it's his money, of course, depending on state law. Or both of their money and assets.
My question is how is she or he/they impacted by taxes if property, money and assets are under her control through the LLC and trust?
Are there any tax concerns in this situation.
Next question, still pertaining to the first question,
she also needs to open a new bank account to hold the rest of the money until she decides how much to invest.
      What are her options?
She wants to make their money invisible and keep it protected.
I suspect she needs a certain type of bank to handle and secure that amount of money? Am I correct?
Are there tax issues if he transfers the money to an account with her or into an account without his name?
I suspect their personal money can not be put into a trust and used for daily living expenses and also for investing.
      Or am I incorrect?
Can you advise on these scenarios?
Can both if their names go on the living trust (?is this the correct type of trust?)
      Or can only one name?
I want to say, the bank I use has many of my family members and friends of the family working their. I don't find it very private. Even though no one mentions anything, I do know that when I travel I must call the bank and let them know when and where I go so my transactions are not declined but also are monitored for fraud.
If I had 3 mil to put in the bank I would not trust anyone with that knowledge that knew me personally. I believe that's a good policy.

time 17:11 the Act references: "On the lending side, Title VIII of the Garn-St. Germain Depository Act, "Alternative Mortgage Transactions," authorized banks to offer adjustable-rate mortgages. However, the act also had substantial benefits for consumer real estate owners, because it allowed consumers to place their mortgaged real estate in inter-vivos trusts without triggering the due-on-sale clause that allows banks to foreclose and collect the balance due on a mortgaged property when ownership of that property is transferred. This made it easier for property owners to pass real estate to minors and heirs, and also allowed the wealthy to protect their real estate holdings from creditors or lawsuit settlements."

Toby, thank you so much. I enjoyed your presentation on tax planning and getting your house out of your name and other real estate accents.

Is this correct?... My understanding is that if you put your house into an LLC, it's protected from third-party lawsuits/creditors. However, if you google the homeowner's name, the primary residence property will come up as under a corporate title.

    1. yes to everything you said;
    2. 30 years ago, my PI told me he had access to over 200 data bases. His brother made a bet with him - $1000. The bet was that my PI could not find out whether brother lived (CIA employee). Within a day, PI had a report of the last 10 years of residence addresses.
    3. The best hide-the-assets target I ever met was an anesthisiologist. The insurance premium was too high. His children owned the home via a trust. He rented a room as his office. The simple car was leased. He only took business from a hospital that would pay him on the spot.
    4. The second best target was a pitchman for a series of car dealerships. He was divorced and owed a lot of money. He would come to the dealership, make the pitch, get paid and leave. Having a levy against him was useless. The dealership did not owe him money and he was not an employee.

Hi! I'm in California: If I incorporated my home/residence here in a Wyoming, LLC, wouldn't I have to also incorporate in CA (and/or pay a fee to CA for that)?

Yes. They would want a franchise tax. There are a couple of tools to avoid much of the hit - for example a WY statutory trust or a disregarded LP (yes, I said that right and it does exist).

The IRS and State Tax Agencies can find out about your bank accounts and loot without Due Process. This is what happened to me when I went to my bank one day and found a lot of missing money from my Checking Account. No Due Process was involved. Also, you can't sue the State or the IRS, they will claim immunity.
