The only person on RUclips I actually get excited to watch right now, and I play video games professionally. Super entertaining and I went out bought a samaki toxic combo to start lure fishing because of your videos!
Can recommend the FMIMF, Briggsy's Fishing and Field Days mate. I feel the same way re: Shroomy though, it makes you feel like you're fishing the Parramatta with a mate.
Welcome bro the shrooms a champion. Gamer here to bro
Thank you Wryce! I try always and that's a nice combo and you'll do some damage with that on the local fish population! 😎👍
@@zippyspinifex
big ups, just got onto brooks and briggsys videos as well been binge watching in my spare time xD
@@Wryce I was hard core gamer, but then the local shrooms vids and other switched a part of my brain open, then hunter part. I thought PvP did that. Nope. This is something different. Hope to catch you out there soon
Hey man, thank you so much for ur amazing local fishing I went Botany Bay a week ago and caught a 34 cm bream thanks a lot
That is awesome! Congrats that's a big bream
Great video Pete, great tip with the crabs, if the legs get bent, just dip it in boiling water for a few seconds and place on a flat surface, also I use the small dividers from a tackle tray and make a few cuts in the top and one on the bottom, hook the claws to the top, and put a rubber band on to hold them in place, keep them in great shape,
Thanks a lot Anthony, I will be trying the boiling method next time for sure. That sounds like an ingenious method to keep them all nice and stored!
That's an awesome tip Anthony!
Love your dedication, Shroom 👍🏼
Thanks Wayne, those leather jackets aren't that bad when they are taking lures like that! 😎
Great video shroom nice fish never seen such big leather jackets
Thanks X3 Grims! I was pleasantly surprised it was a lot ofun 😎
The leather jackets are loving it! I'm about to go on a fishing trip next week and I might be dealing with some deep water. Any tips on lure choices and techniques?
They kept hopping on Lucas haha. Nice, maybe some metal jigs, heavier jerkshad style lures and fast sinking paddle tails
Great fishing, I'm waiting on 2 Cranka crabs to turn up so I can chase some bream. Great vid
Thanks Kev, you'll have some fun on them for sure!
Can you do more fishing east of the harbour bridge? I just don’t enjoy fishing in the dirty water in the parramatta river
hi, just a tip for abbotsford ferry wharf, been there heaps of times and used a lot of bream lures such as grubz and cranka crabs, but the fish there never take them. but every time i use bait there i catch massive bream 30+
Sounds good Charlie. I haven’t caught a bream there on lures in a while
2:06 I like the angle of your camera, shows so much confidence
Haha thank you WatchTheMoss! I couldn't believe I was getting those fish all to myself!
Love your videos shroom even tho the videos i watch are old i still caught a little nice mr flatty 43cm of a 100mm wriggler thanks to your advice legend
I use to hate catching leather jackets, they always bite off the end of my soft plastics - annoying! But watching you catch them on the crab consistently actually looks pretty fun haha
Taste them, then you will enjoy catching them 🎣
True that Hai, I always saw them as a non-lure target. Very hard to catch on lures but this was interesting. It did feel like proper lure fishing haha
Wow that was a pretty looking lure, i'll get one of those to see how it goes. I've noticed that fishing has slow down (at least for me) with the water temp dropping after those windy days. Great content once again 👍
GIve it a go Sergio! Fish it conservatively because they ain't cheap. Maybe even on heavier lines. It's slowing down everywhere but still fish to be had at least until a month or so later which is when I find it toughest for me
Beautiful ! Me Thursday fishing fix . Onya mate . 🤙🎣✔️
Thanks David, I got it on almost on time but I had a mistake and re-uploaded and then the text in the video was not put back in. Oh well, small inconvenience but the video on the whole is up !
@@ShroomFishing and at the same wharf . Gonna catch a ferry there from Parra on the weekend and give it a go . When I fished there 40 years ago , I was a bait fisho . 🤙🎣
Hope to see you soon David. Been a while since I bumped into you!
@@Jorre-Fisk you will mate , only a matter of time ! Any luck of late ?
@@davidshaul5265 That's a good idea, very nice wharf with all those surrounding areas to boot which seem to hold a few bream which is awesome!
Little on scene surgery did the trick looks like you had fun I’m going bream fishing in Warrnambool on the Hopkins on Monday
It was a nice surprise that did the trick! Awesome, good luck and let me know how you go
Nice job mate!
Thanks!
Ah don't cut the legs 😂. Just need to drop in boiled water for a minute and the legs will reset. No need to buy a new leg set by doing that 🤣🤣🤣. Awesome video 🎣👍
To be fair you can just go buy new set of legs for it 🤣. But I guess you now need to just buy one whole new one 😜
Haha ah darn Stephen! Probably would have changed the whole complexion of the video so I'm not too miffed but I will surely boil them next time as these lures don't come cheap! 😎😆👍
@@stephencyster I got one more in the stable (after losing a new one after 5 casts lol) for a future video idea hopefully!
Yum yum the leather and the flattys are the best eating. How weird is this vid haha 🤣🤣 this is a winning tech leathers on luresalso that haircut... Looking sharp brødír
Haha aww shucks Jorre! I need to get more haircuts more often lol. Yep weirdest session actual targetted way to get jackets on lures!
back at that wharf again? heheheee....must be a productive wharf
It's a nice place Dave, very productive
Good vid shroom keep vids coming through
Thanks Aymen, more coming. I've got some good ideas coming up 😎
Man I went to fishing at the harbour wharfs yesterday not a fish 😭. Is it to cold now ?
Not at all, just cold for humans lol
Hey shroom I just wondering what wharf this is
What set up are you using ? And in what size. Cheers 🍻
I'm using an Edge Black Widow 6-8lb and Exist 2000 SP
good job shroom
Cheers Joshua 👍
Emergency surgery on the crab seemed to do the job lol. Wow, nice leatherjacket mate. Don't see so many of them that big often.
Thanks Andrew! It was looking a bit glum on the sink so I decided to amputate a few legs lol. I guess it make it more recognisable as a crab after that 😎
Great video my friend
Thank you 👍
Good video mate, nice catch aswell
Thanks Josh, good fun!
Wow I am curious where your local-tackle shop?
I shop everywhere Rafael, often online
Which wharf this nice and quiet…
Which wraft is it ?
Awesome ! I must get myself a Cranka Crab, they look good .Wouldn't want to snag and lose one at the price though ..
Thanks Tim, I must stress it's not essential to get that lure as it does hurt losing one without catching anything on it. I fished it relatively conservatively until I snagged it of course 😂. Plastics will do just as much damage
What size is good for bream and can I use 12 lb leader to restle the bream out of structure?
Yes Josh, I was using 14lb there to save my lures
was bloody Windy there yesterday. i was just across from there. very quiet that day but just nice to be out
wow cranka crab's for leather jackets. very cool
How bad is the weather Patrick, it's like hurricane weather lol
@@TheMeiruntu Quite unexpected to get several in succession but it was nice!
Where is this ferry wharf at
abbotsford
Where is this place
Losing a Cranka usually ends up with tears 😭. Have you tried any of the offerings from Pro lure ?
Yep they don't come cheap Ian and it's a big reason I haven't used them that often in videos because it does encourage beginners to go straight for them which often ends in tears. Not recently, I've used their lures in the past
Another great video Shroom. Was nice meeting you at chipping norton lake when I was going for my run on Sunday I think it was. I went fishing there after my run but didn't catch anything myself haha. Keep up the great content mate 😀
Thanks Ryutasuhara! It was my pleasure and thanks for shouting out, I always have time for everyone! Yep, it was a tough day as you know! Will do and I'll have a video of that area soon! 😀
Awesome looking forward to it. I haven't caught anything in that area yet, but I will try until I do lol. I remember you asking me what kind of new content you could do. All I can say is just keep on doing what you're doing mate, I just like seeing people catch fish 😀
I love using the cranka crab
Good fun but one of those lures that are very snag prone
Cant u pull the legs off? These crabs are made in seperate sections and they sell replacement parts dont they?
Yes, if I was my desk I reckon I would have done a much better job getting rid of the legs and I knew they had replacement ones so I didn't mind cutting them
I Must be allergic to bream because I go fishing literally every weekend and I haven’t caught a bream on a lure in over a year and it makes me very jealous to see you catch 3 or more in a session 😁
I’ve been about 3 month trying , not a bream yet , they are very very picky and easy to spook away
I think you are looing at it the wrong way mate. The bream may be allergic to YOU!
@@mohammadabdulhamid7286 Slow and small at this time of year. Suspending minnows style twitch baits, small, slow working, divers and a range of small paddle tails, wriggle tails, curl tails and flick baits. Rig the tails on a colorado style, running sinker (just use a small peas sinker, do not worry about bullet head) rig if the fish are particularly spooky, with about a 2 foot flouro leader. Otherwise, just use a small running sinker to a circle hook with the plastic rigged on it, or a light jig head. You really want the lure to suspend well on the drop,
Blades and vibes worked extremely slowly are also good. Lift, wind into the drop to maintain contact. Free all often ends with the rear treble wrapping the line.
Good luck, good fun.
Bream aint easy man, I spent a good year targeting them on only lures and caught about 5 all undersized. They are very paranoid, they won't bite if they've seen someone and if they're not hungry they won't really take lures, you can do everything right and still not catch them. I sometimes wonder if they're more of a bait preferred fish.
@@AndrewFishman hahahah
Mate a good short video to watch. Bream are such a underrated sport fish on light line. Lucky you only lost one cranka crab 🦀Not a cheap lure to lose. Cheers.
Thanks a lot Trevor, I just can't seem to make them long enough! Always painful but I'm glad it made a good video so I'll take it! I'll be using other expensive lures shortly, hopefully they stick around for a fish or two first haha
Thanks for the nice video
I appreciate it Raymund! 👍
@@ShroomFishing
Tell next week Shroom 😉
@Raymund Monica Yep, more coming! 😎
I work at Anaconda and we have them in stock. It's works amazingly
Nice one James, great lures
Let's gooooo
It's go time Hussien!
I've bought them twice and snagged them so now I'm just too scared to try again lol. I either get bored just letting it sit out there or give it too much action and snag it
Yep they are snag prone for sure Denis, I don't recommend 'learning' to fish on them especially in an unknown area. Soft plastics are very good and you won't be missing out
Also nice leatherjacket
Thanks Tom!
Leather jackets have no scales the skin tears off easy ,no bones and excellent white firm meat, great eating
True that Tony, easy to fillet as well, ticks all the boxes
Best place to fish in my opinion is abosford wharf I cuaght a 5kg jewy
Wind onto the bite instead of striking with the crank - you'll hook up heaps more
Thanks Niall, I tried to wind on but it's hard not to react with a short knee-jerk strike haha
shouldve kept theyre amazing eating but depends if you like them or not
Good eating, but maybe I'll keep one in a cleaner area one day
@@ShroomFishing maybe because the look of the water wasnt the greatest
Dude , I’ve been tempted to buy a 🦀 lure “but” don’t know how to work it, now I know , leather jackets are awesome eating bro 😎
Thanks Troy, they are snag prone, I just don't want too many people getting disappointing if they snag within a few casts. Plastics still are my go to but fished conservatively, the crab did well
a $25 lure, AND HE CUTS THE LEGS OFF?!
Replacement legs can be purchased 🤣
errr.... YEP! 😂
Ferries just fucking the river up
long time no see
if you remember me I'm Levi
welcome back Levi
