Incredibly beautiful song. Without the words this song can be quite a beautiful experience. However, once you hear the words to this song "1963" , you never forget the tremendous evil of it.
Mkaymufc --- just listened to this track. Really like the 6-string bass track (3rd from the bottom). I've searched live 1963 renditions and never figured out what Hooky plays. The intro and outros are very obvious on the studio tracks (e.g. Arthur Baker version and such). But never figured out how Hooky plays the middle bits live. I'm going to try to learn your version. Cheers!
Fantastic piece. Having listened to everything from Satie's Gymnopedie No. 1 to the works of Jeff Lynne, this is beautiful. Brings so many sounds together in an upbeat yet serene manner. Thank you.
Hey Mkaymufc --- on the HookyBass track (purple one 3rd from bottom) you have it sounds really cool. Which version of 1963 do you hear that melody/rythm? I listened to a few versions and was never able to pick out which track/instrument was playing that part.
I didn't make it to sing along to it. I put the guitar bit in to basically cover for the lack of vocals and I really don't need to listen to the original again thank you very much :)
You definitely nailed the strings and that New Order style guitar!
That's a bass guitar

Those last 35 seconds or so are hauntingly beautiful.

JONATHAN CHEN You won't hear that part on any of the versions as I made up that part myself to cover for the lack of vocals :)
That's brilliant Mkay. Well done.
Would it be alright if I made a karaoke track out of this, Mkaymufc?
Hey Mister! Can I use this track to add vocals? I would be honoured?
Yes :)
This song reminds me of 1979 by The Smashing Pumpkins.
Sorry !! ( german ) , geht besser !
Translation: Could be better.
Why did you put in the guitar during verse and chorus ??? Delete it. It gets in the way when you sing to it. Listen to the original again.
