I have a 2001 Suburban LS 9 passenger. It comes in handy with 2 front passengers and a middle fold down, so my dog can sit between us. It’s 20 years old, but still runs and drives great!
The vinyl floor is something that can probably be done, either on a fleet order or are you getting lucky and being able to buy used Fleet Suburban. The manual linkage is something that hasn’t existed for a very long time in GM’s world and won’t be coming back anytime soon.
Silly thing about it, the 9 seat looks good. Very little electronics to go wrong. Manual tail lift, ya have to get out of vehicle to get shopping out of boot (trunk) anyway. Only thing i would want is the side steps hide (lift away) when doors are closed.
@@dandeschane Dan, when front center seat is folded, there is a storage that opens up from the top/arm rest? and if so, does it have any USB ports or 12v power ports inside the seat arm rest box/compartment?

@@dandeschane I honestly thought they would keep it because of the vehicle's roots. A SUV based off of a truck, utility and etc. Was the last of it, saddened to see it go. The Escalade is fine, but a bummer they chose to remove it from the suburbans too. I won't ever be able to buy a brand new family vehicle in the future now with my favorite gear shifter. They been making trucks for 100 years, now they decided you have to keep your keys on you or the horn will go off RIDICULOUS......along with the AFM......best trucks on the road.....stupid ideas
i know change makes it hard but things have to evolve. AFM and Smart keys are something found in every single manufacturer. if you don’t do it you can’t compete. horn honks if you leave keys in the car, that feature is an option that can be turned on and off
@@dandeschane How to turn it off?, also after the Service Advisors and helpers in the service bay become deaf and develop tinnitus from the horns going off all day long....who will they sue, the manufacturer or the dealership?

All my Uncle needs is the roof rack cross rails, cargo net, cargo shade and the floor liners. Less power and computerized items, less problems.

there are no power ports in the storage area in the center

Theres 3 in the front buddy, the part where the cup holders are flips up for someone to be able to sit so... 3 +3 +3 =9!

To answer my own question, it does...but just enough to where your head wouldn't fall forward on its own if you were to nap.

The 12 Passenger Van SWB is about the same length as the Suburban. Still have the Wonderfull Column Shifter.

Or if they open the doors and the alarm goes off?
