    They don’t make the glaze in this line anymore 😢 Do any of the new lamellar shine masks they make have UV protectant and color preservation properties? AND they don’t make any of their treatment drops anymore :/

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  Месяц назад +1

      I don’t believe the new mirror treatment in the Supershine line has UV protection in it. The drops I’m not sad about. To be honest, I didn’t love them. If you’re wanting UV protection, I would just spray Invisible Defense in your hair.

      @JeniferLarson yeah now the invisible defense is starting to seem less redundant than it used to. Thanks!

    Thanks for a very informative video just one question for you if I have oily scalp how that cleans my hair

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 года назад +1

      You can definitely use this if you have an oily scalp but I think my first recommendation would be the Serene Scalp shampoo. Although the Serene Scalp says “Anti-Dandruff” it really does an amazing job at cleaning the scalp. Sometimes when you have a oily scalp you can have a little more buildup and the Serene Scalp shampoo will do a great job and getting rid of all that. It’s color and keratin safe. I don’t have dandruff and use the shampoo when I feel like my scalp needs a good cleaning.

    I use the gold lust line. My hair is color treated and highlighted. My question is, is it OK, or a good idea, to use the mask for beautiful color and they my gold lust shampoo and conditioner? And maybe the Glaze for beautiful color after? Can you mix and match oribe product lines?

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 года назад +1

      Hi! Yes, you can definitely mix and match lines. All Oribe products are color and Keratin safe. I use a mask once a week in place of my conditioner. You could use the glaze after.
      To be honest, I change my hair care routine constantly. I’m always using different products depending how my hair feels or how I’m going to style it. So if you find yourself not loving a certain combination of products, keeping changing/ mixing it up because you’ll find what works best for you.

    I am really struggling with the shampoo because it doesn't lather! My salon explained that I should emulsify it in my hands then apply to different places on my scalp then rub it in and spread it around, adding more water if needed. I've tried that technique and don't notice a difference! Because it doesn't lather I also can't figure out if I've rinsed it all out. Any recommendations on how to shampoo with this great product?

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 года назад +2

      Hi Jill! So first thing, Oribe shampoos don’t lather as much as normal shampoos because they are so concentrated.
      When I shampoo, I get my head wet in the water (don’t push out the excess water) and then I put shampoo in my hands and really work it into my scalp. You’ll get a little bit of bubbles but not a whole head full. Sulfate free shampoos don’t bubble up like those with sulfates. That’s because sulfates are the ingredient that create bubbles.
      When you rinse your hair out, your hair will feel hydrated (almost like when you rinse conditioner).
      I hope this helps! Oribe is definitely a unique line so it takes some getting use to.

    How does the glaze compare to the mask in term of conditioning benefits ?

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 года назад

      Hi! So they really don’t compare. The mask is what you want if you’re looking for a deep conditioning. It also helps to repair the hair, fight frizz, and add shine to the hair.
      The glaze is just adding shine to the hair.

    🤔but the shampoo has sulfates and I found it didn’t keep my hair as cool blonde as long. Is that due to the sulfates?

    • @JeniferLarson
      @JeniferLarson  2 года назад

      So it doesn’t contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfates or Sodium Laureth Sulfates which are the ingredients that you want to avoid when they say “sulfate free”. There are SO many different types of sulfates but the 2 mentioned above are the ones responsible for being harsh on color and Keratin treatments.
      This shampoo helps to protect color but when it comes to maintaining the tone, like in your case, keeping that cool blonde, you need to use a purple shampoo. The purple pigment helps keep you from getting brassy. Since this shampoo doesn’t contain any tones (dyes) it doesn’t have the ability to counteract the brassyness.

      Hi! Sodium lauroyl methyl isenthionate is a cleansing agent that comes from coconuts. It’s typically used as an alternative to the harsh sulfates.
      Although the sulfate family has a ton of compounds that sound very similar, they are quite different.
      When you look for a “sulfate free” shampoo, they are talking about the harsh sulfates like Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate. Those are the harsher in the Sulfate category. Sometimes they are abbreviated as SLS or SLES.
      You can also go to the Oribe website and under their FAQ section, they have a more detailed explanation on sulfates and state that all of their products are sulfate free.
