Cool architecture of the Dutch-designed building, you have to admit. Nice outro with all these beautiful libraries in the US. Could do a similar outro with European libraries, of course.
Those fake books may even more expensive than real ones. And I believe that the government officers and their white gloves earned a lot from these kind of projects. That also raised the cost of living for regular people in China.
How are you supposed to access those books on the upper ceiling? Assuming they weren't wallpaper I mean. Such an inefficient and pointless design meant to "look cool".
You'll look at pictures of poles and be told those are trees, you will be fed porridge and sawdust and told it is chicken... or maybe even steak! When you drink water it will actually be... pea soup! And when you complain it will be the last time you complain, and you won't have to worry about anything else because you'll be the soup and part of a new leather couch.
So how do they expect anyone to grab books above the first few levels? Do they really think it is realistic or convenient to have "books" all the way to the ceiling with that shape?
Seeing that fake wallpaper of "books" made me genuinely sad. Libraries are supposed to be a place of knowledge, learning and expression. But china has turned it into a weird empty place to take selfies.
Thank you, Winston. This seems like it's like the fireworks during the Olympics where everyone could see them on the television, but those who were live couldn't see them at all because it was all fake. So sad that China feels that they have to save their face to make them look wonderful. May God be with you and your family.
Censoring book is 1984 Setting up books as a tourist destination suggesting that the books real or fake are nothing but props. This is Brave New World where censored books are everywhere and no one bothering reading them. China isn't dystopia, it's hell on earth.
I watch these videos and it's hard to really believe this place is just evil. Makes me think about how bad things are in America for lower and middle class. I wonder if we would be any different with 1.4 billion people vs the 331 million we have now. Most of this seems unreal, but then again, it just may be a glimpse of our future.
How do books survive in the possibly damp conditions of a cave? Expensive climate control. Libraries are built where maximum people are located for easy access. A cave doesn't seem right, unless you had one handy in the city centre.

Yup. As far as war is concerned, China has been playing the long game.
Absolutely!! Didn't the previous videos show how any form of literature gets you "not alive".
I'm Lovin 'it @ 6:04 McDonalds lower right of sholder, Howd that get there?? lol 😣😂
I heard they have re-written the Bible, distorting all sorts of things.
Thank you for confirming this.
Worlds first knowledge free library.
Thank you, Winston. This seems like it's like the fireworks during the Olympics where everyone could see them on the television, but those who were live couldn't see them at all because it was all fake. So sad that China feels that they have to save their face to make them look wonderful. May God be with you and your family.
Libraries can only work in Democracies, not Authoritarian Police States!
Censoring book is 1984
Setting up books as a tourist destination suggesting that the books real or fake are nothing but props. This is Brave New World where censored books are everywhere and no one bothering reading them. China isn't dystopia, it's hell on earth.
That databroker ad tho. Pretty catchy tunes
6:05. There is a Macdonald’s in the background!
10 best librarys of the world have even been more beautiful. But still a wonderful ending
Caves are moist. Books don't like moisture. ahhem.
How do you reach that fake book on the top shelf? Cherry picker librarians?
I watch these videos and it's hard to really believe this place is just evil. Makes me think about how bad things are in America for lower and middle class. I wonder if we would be any different with 1.4 billion people vs the 331 million we have now. Most of this seems unreal, but then again, it just may be a glimpse of our future.
Idiocracy the movie is imminently clear
There was a video about Chinese are not good at dealing with confrontation or conflict. Could anyone let me know which video was it?
Excellent!
Off topic, but what are some of your favorite snacks lately? You prefer sweet or sour snacks?
they hate the concept of written documents because they cant just omit whatever they dont like.
See you there
Danish or dutch designed library in Tianjin. Which country are you talking about? Denmark or Netherland?
Atleast they try 🤦
They gotta make the library look full since they burned most of the books.😬
How do books survive in the possibly damp conditions of a cave? Expensive climate control. Libraries are built where maximum people are located for easy access. A cave doesn't seem right, unless you had one handy in the city centre.
my local primary school library has more books than that lmao
Books are online.
"look how great this is! none of us can read anything on these shelves!"
