Josh Kirkley recommended I look you up for info on Matariki and I’m stoked that you’re discussing the Maori lunar calendar. I really want to incorporate it into how I harvest and grow my food but I know nothing about it and I’m disconnected from my Maori whanau so I have no one to learn from.

I'd really like to see you assiting schools and science teachers to incorporate these matauranga maori concepts into their teaching of [secondary school] astronomy. Its been such a challenging journey for me to learn and understand this new knowledge and trying to find resources that I can actually use with my rangatahi in my classes.

@@junliang6948 this knowledge - mātauranga Māori is ancient and a real taonga- these calendars are well worth the cost- they will engage tauira/students far more effectively than a printed version of it. The 'value' of this taonga- treasure, should really be enough for schools to invest in it as a long term resource as it never expires and the quality of it is very good. Not everything can be 'free' and Dr Rangi Matamua shares so much of his ancestral knowledge for free.
