    Thanks for sharing your ride. I’ve done many of those same roads. Love that you put the road names on the screen, helps me follow along.

    I learned to stretch to take care of my lower back. Really helped.

    John,
    Do they offer rebuild kits for the DR650 transmission? When something like this happens it usually means the components are worn.
    Rather than just trying to fix the one problem... better to do the whole thing and be done with it.
    Yup... lose gravel on the berm can do that. Especially if the berm is slanted away from the tire where you need the grip the most.
    The other incident was totally a freak happenstance. Staying away from the larger rocks is all you can do.
    I enjoyed the views... very beautiful trail. Thanks for sharing!
    Gord

    Your soundtracks are amazing, is that your music? That techno/classical in the last vid was off the chain. Good tunes to ride to.

    Usually if it is not transmission or a bad clutch, the first thing to always try is the clutch cable adjustment, just curious if that is what it was?

    • @JohnnyPowRides
      @JohnnyPowRides  5 месяцев назад +1

      Apparently so. I kept fiddling with it and I eventually got it working properly. I’ve since ordered a new OEM cable. I haven’t installed it yet, but I have it zip tied in place parallel to the original, in case I have a cable break to make it faster to switch over

    You got Shinko 244 on both front and back? Besides the wipeout, how'd the tires feel overall?

    How do you like the Shinko 244 rear tire? I thought about swapping to one of those but I ended up going back to the Tusk D-sport.

      They have worked well for me on the three bikes I have used them on for adventure rides. I’m happy with them, for tubed type bikes.

      I’m hoping it isn’t in the transmission. I found after the ride that the shift lever had been pressed into the side of the engine side case armor and scraping. Possibly cause of rough shifting. I’ve changed the shift lever and only had a brief successful test ride so far. We will see
