Matheus Rubim de Paoli exactly, just look at hellsing, the fights in that weren’t even near this caliber of artwork, and those took a year each just for 45 min runtimes. Each and every single frame in these has to be hand drawn unlike most cartoons and anime’s which will use overlapping duplicates of frames to give the sense of more movement per frame then there really is. This is some next level stuff. If anyone’s interested, the only anime I’ve seen come close to this was the devilman crybaby. Unfortunately there’s only the one season. 😭

I know for a series, it can't really be the same but im tired of people talking for 2 episodes , usually the 2 dimensional villains gloating and telling our heroes how pathetic they are and they will make short work of them just to be surprised of them actually being able to deliver damage and hurt JUST for the villain to say: This was my plan all along and i wasn't even hurt just pretending... Same goes for Dragonballz.

And considering the amount of time being put into the TYBW adaptation, and that I think their animation team might be larger (I’ve heard most of the original staff is returning, and that the people who worked on one of Pierrot’s best looking anime, Akudama Drive, is also doing it), it’s looking like the new anime could surpass this.

So far, the TYBW battles are very short, I was hoping they would extend the fight scenes.
I've reread the manga and thinking, well, we probably will not get something like this Hell Verse intro level of animation, this intense, epic, thrilling.
But who knows, I might be way too quick to judge, maybe they will put more on the great parts of the story.
The TYBW visual is good looking though, I also likes the cloudy weather colour tones.
I'm still super happy that Bleach is back.

@ Ronald Pinkerton. you should have seen the actual episode this is inspired by. hollow ichigo charges up the point blank cero torturously slow and even lets ulquiorra have a few last words about how rediculous it is to be beaten by a hollowfied human. then the cero is so powerful it fires through the ceiling of los noches and everybuddy still fighting espadas is like wtf? ichigos vas lordes form has crazy power and is my favorite hollow form so far

Tite the creator actually stated that this is how he wanted and envisioned the fight to be. He was being rushed to release weekly chapters and that’s why the fight came out the way it did it the manga.

The English roar doesn't seen like a roar to me, rather like the shrieking of a tortured soul. There's a video where this two roars are mixed and it is awesome, and sounds better than either of the roars by themselves

I really love this version of the Ulquiorra fight because it was less one sided with Ulquiorra constantly getting his ass whooped and actually standing up a bit instead.
You mean after Ichigo getting his ass whooped for an entire episode and finally "killed" , before turning and literally wiping out Ulqi , turning him in to ash?

Why was Kubo rushed to get past this in the manga? This was like the pinnacle of Bleach. People read/watch Shōnen manga/anime for fights so what dumbass was like “naw man you gotta skip through this fights here to get to the other fights” that’s fucking moronic. Even today anybody who talks about Bleach talks about Ichigo vs Ulquiorra before they mention anything else even Ichigo vs Grimmjow which is a close second. Nobody talks about Ichigo vs Aizen.

Makes you wonder why we still watch the bleach series when so many of us are sick and tire of the characters calling one another idiots, fools and being the real imbecile when explaining their powers to an enemy that wants to kill you over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and again.
+Luis Rivera My guess would be because Bleach is one of few anime that follows the manga to a relative T (minus the filler arcs). Most anime diverge half way though cause the catch up, or they have a completely different story.

@@collinthompson3133 the midnight time slot only means there won't be censorship. however, that doesn't mean there will be consistent movie quality animation throughout the whole tybw. the animation for that is far too expensive, hence why it's used in movies and select scenes/episodes. all i was saying is i doubt we will have animation like the hellverse opening sequence consistent but we might for important fights

I can see why Kubo-san said that this was the most accurate version of their fight. Though Zangetsu is dominating, it doesn't undermine Ulquiorra's power boost in his Resurrecion: Segunda Etapa state. As such, the two appear evenly matched though the one who's leading the fight is more obvious.
The magnitude of their bout is also well-made. Right now, you have two absurdly powerful beings duking it out in a free-for-all grudge match to the death. It's brutal, it's fast, and it's feral. And to me, I feel like the selling point is the fact that they switched Zangetsu's and Ulquiorra's roles in terms of vocal presence. Like, has anyone noticed that in the Anime version of this fight, it's Ulquiorra who instigates the talking? Nowadays, that felt... Weird to me, that for someone as composed and reserved as he is would be blabbering on and on in a fight.
As such, changing the roles to having only Zangetsu's roars and growls prevalent throughout the fight makes a lot more sense. Selling to the fact that this is a *monster* fighting, not just a *warrior.*
And lastly, what I want to point out is the brilliant OST by Shiro Sagisu-san. "Incantation" (that's the name of this Soundtrack) works so well in this fight, as its build-ups and choruses made for an amazing orchestral display for this fight.
All in all, though this movie is very much hated amongst the community, there is no doubt that this fight is by far one of the most perfect definition of Bleach as a whole.
Ichigo is still missing half his shihakusho so his reiatsu is lower than half of usual. His VL form can be much stronger than that which is why Dangai ended up so powerful(with some other reason too, TYBW).
Bro just call “zangetsu” white ichigo you’re gonna spoil it for the anime only’s.

Halibel is far more outclassed than just that too, lol. The top 4 were already vasto lorde to begin with. Yet Ulquiorra is a vasto lorde at the highest level of shinigami powers, having their equivalent of bankai. So this is a battle between two monsters who have each reached the pinnacle of their kind, and terrifyingly have also reached across into polar opposite powers and achieved the pinnacle of *THOSE* powers too.
Ichigo and Ulquiorra are in their own league far beyond other arrancar or vizard.
This scene is metal as fuck, and I love every second of it! XD
The year is 2021. I have seen new animation fight scenes of current anime and continuing anime, and have come back here having the thought in my head that animation has finally managed to surpass this short snippet that was given to us in Tite Kubo’s “Bleach Movie: Hell Verse.” years back.

Kubo said that ulquiorra and vasto lorde ichigo were supposed to be around the same level with ichigo having the slight edge but he didn’t have time and was falling ill, so the fight had to be cut short.
