Cowboy boots have their shape to fit in the stirrup of the saddle. Cowboy boots have their stitching and pattern to add rigidity and sturdiness to keep the boot upright, instead of slouching down
Hey fellas, i think rebecca meant the "lasts", not the outer soles, which are leather, they probably remove the staples then pull them out when they are done shaping.
I have a pair right from Mexico that are made in Mexico for Mexicans lol. They need to be resoled though. I wore them every day till they got so worn i can't wear them anymore without getting them fixed.
Everyone is an expert.... Lol... The first modern cowboy boots were made in Olathe Kansas in the late 1800s. They were a mix of British "Wellington" calvary boots and Spanish calvary boots. The American design incorporated 1) a 4 panel design with vamps/ front tops, counters/ back tops sewn across the ankles and then sewn top to bottom at the two side seams. They also featured a "Cuban" slanted heel and were made with a R and L foot for each pair. It is an all American boot with innovations that were distinctly different from previous boot designs. The finest boots are made following the traditional 235 step process of a single maker BY HAND, not in a factory, and certainly not in Mexico (sorry compadres) . There are about 185 custom bootmakers left in the USA. These are what REAL cowboys wear......
While I support American makers I think Mexican handmade is of equal quality. Factory made stuff is better from the US but handmade requires a craftsman and they can come from anywhere.
😂😂😂😂 now tell me how the real cowboys came to be,??? because Americans learn from the Mexicans, and yes the cowboys boots originated in Mexico sorry compadre but you don’t have your history right 😂
Before Hollywood it looks like the Spanish vaqueros wore mexico boots and that eventually was streamed into American culture, so that bit of history needs included
The fact that i use these to actually ride horses strokes my individuality complex. From now on I will call everybody who wears these as fashion posers.
I've had a couple pair of boots, but I found them to be so uncomfortable. Nothing like a pair of good running shoes for comfort in my opinion. However, running shoes are not stylish like these ostrich boots that look so amazing.
@The Lost Media Library Wrong, the design and fashion trend is Mexican by culture, this is why people are called Hispanic. MEXICAN PEOPLE ARE HISPANIC.

Rebecca Mhagama depends on the boot some have wooden some have rubber
The sole is leather, rubber, or composite; not wood. The stain used to die the sole makes a hard leather outsole look like wood.
